I can't imagine how could a person create this centuries ago. Where the inspiration camed from? I think from heaven. Classic music blows my mind 😱🤯. Vivald would be proud of this girllll.
I can't imagine how could a person now a days create this when they're glued to their screens of cell phones and such and there's so much other distractions... Vivaldi was a priest who oversaw a girls orphanage that he wrote music for and thus had vastly more time and focus than modern day folks...
This kind of music was more frequent than we imagine. Check for instance the harpsichord sonata no. 24 in D minor from Carlos Seixas (1704-1742). Most of his work was lost in the destruction of the royal palace caused by the great earthquake of Lisbon in 1755 but many pearls remain to atest his talent and this sonata is may the more intense (sorry no links are allowed here).
coincidentally, my two favourite performances of this piece feature a broken bow hair due to the intensity of said performances (this being one of them)
One of the cellists (named Justin) in my orchestra actually did snap a string during rehearsal once from playing so loud. From then on, when the teacher wanted us to play loud, she told us "play Justin loud!"
Mas põe Extraordinário nisso . Espetacular . Nem tenho palavras para escrever. Monumentalmente Belo. Grande Vivalde !!! Saudacoes do Brasil. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I wonder what Vivaldi would have said if he saw and heard this video. He would possibly been speechless and shocked that an angel played his music. What an artist she is. Precision, passion and spotless performance. A taste of heaven.
yes. that can happen when there is too much pressure on the strings and when the bow is moving very fast wich you can obviously see when Mari is playing
I think technically that's called a 2 over 3 polyrhythm, a type of syncopation emphasizing the offbeats. Not that I'm complaining either :p The 4 over 3 polyrhythms are so overused in contemporary pop music because its all in 4/4, but this piece is in 3/4, so a 2 over 3 was more appropriate, and doesn't feel too modern.. this girl must have amazing judgement to know it would work well in this song.
@@whateverthisisthisis8270 That’s not a 2:3 polyrhythm. It’s just emphasis on the offbeat. A polyrhythm would be if a rhythm in 2 was actually written over a rhythm in 3. They didn’t change any rhythm, they just accented the offbeat.
Only who feels music knows how intense it is. It made me shiver and feel like to cry of emotion to see and listen so many talented musicians. It was just perfect.
Lovely indeed DG. You may try to convince Mari to do something with the harpsichord sonata no. 24 in D minor from Carlos Seixas (1704-1742). More "heavy metal" from the 18th century….and energetic it is!
I grew up listening to Vivaldi’s four seasons, it’s always been my favourite (winter is my fave fave though). I’ve always wanted to see it being played in person but I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I was in the audience. I think I would just be sobbing in the corner because the skill and beauty of it so overwhelming. It’s like being bombarded with emotion. Vivaldi + Mari Samuelsen = 🤯
Oh, my goodness! This is my very favorite on the track. Oh, God! I can’t get enough of this. I play it over and over and over again. This cd is in my car, and once I found the sixth in the track, Presto, I can’t stop! Help!
What a powerful performance. Elegant and vibrant. Can clearly feels her energy flowing through the violin. I have seen many performing this perfectly. But she is special.
I watch this everyday because it is magnificently played and it helps me process my emotions at the end of the day. Portrait of the Lady on Fire introduced me to this and I wish I could see this performed in real life one day.
When your mom slowly opens the door and you remember that you were supposed to clean your room, and you realize that she will end your life... just priceless!
I went to see the Australian Chamber Orchestra with Richard Tognetti performing this last night, so am listening to other performances this morning. This is one of my favourites, I love how Mari is so passionate and smiling during the exciting bits of the solo.
Soo, soo beautiful performance! Excellent! Fantastic! I stop breathing while listening and watching her! Just not from this world.. she is blessing to me!
AVE! VIVALDI!
I love the smile that Mari gives her brother on the Cello at 1:19, she knows that she has nailed it and made one of the best versions of this great piece
As a double bassist, she is cueing him and the celli section. It's a tactic that is used frequently. That she why if you see that she makes eye contact, eyes widen, smiles, and signals.
1:00 for cool Cello guy rockin it out

It’s all based on scales. It’s not impossible
What does time have to do with it?
when the violist plays so fast that they break a string you know they are doing a good job
coincidentally, my two favourite performances of this piece feature a broken bow hair due to the intensity of said performances (this being one of them)
One of the cellists (named Justin) in my orchestra actually did snap a string during rehearsal once from playing so loud. From then on, when the teacher wanted us to play loud, she told us "play Justin loud!"
and seeing the smiles on their faces, it must be so much fun to play this part

He would say , " aesthetically and audibly pleasing "
" Fantastic! I can't believe I composed it"!
Wow the bow strings have fallen off. So intense.
Mary Ma bow 'hairs' :)

Mary Ma. And that's not stopping her! Such a great performance.

ancient version of heavy metal
+nl Vivaldi died 300 years ago
100% agree (hard rock)
+Idrovo Gamer03 It's currently Heavy metal from 220BL (Before Lemmy)
El jevi metal solo es ruido, no lo compares con esta obra maestra pendejo, y menos con esta maestra de la música
funny thing is that in Vivaldi's time this was mainstream
It literally sounds like they are going to war like angels in heaven battling demons or something.
Mi illuminò
I think Vivaldi was in war with himself.
Aren't Angels peaceful creatures?Or are they bloodthirsty warriors that no only one thing,to kill ?
@@arcticwind1368 There are angels in Hell to torture those who will not be saved.
@@selladoscontorazon9763 wow,God really loves humans.....
She was playing so fast one of the strings on her bow broke!!! XD
She's a shredder that's for sure!
that's actually pretty common when playing the violin, the bow hairs are very brittle and snap off easily
*If you can play it slowly , you can play it quickly* 😂😂😁😁😀😀😊😊

Definitely! That part is one of the many ways her interpretation sounds the best for me.
Due to this last part it’s the best version ever!!
To be honest me too.

I agree she slays this song and like every song she plays she doesn't miss a beat. She's been playing since she was 3 so she's got years of practice
1. nope and there are better versions out there
2. this version is a little bit to fast
Only who feels music knows how intense it is. It made me shiver and feel like to cry of emotion to see and listen so many talented musicians. It was just perfect.

I’m conflicted, as I genuinely hate people, but it still gives me goosebumps seeing musicians work together in such perfect harmony.
