Watched the show since day 1, multiple times. Maybe 50 lol, but it made me feel like it was all sooo real! I even wanted to move to Georgia just bcuz of twd. Peice of me was ripped off when they said twd was ending, felt like I knew each character in real life lol. Sad time
If I was a person living in those set houses, I would get the community of the neighborhood to ask amc to keep the wall just for a remembrance, because it looks awesome to me. lol
You're not the only one! So many of us were hoping that wall would have stayed up but it didn't. All that remains up is a small piece of the wall set up in town for selfies.
Even though this came out over a year ago, but I literally just went there two weeks ago, and the entire wall is gone.. and incredible How people are literally living there and are about to build more homes. ..the only part of the wall that I saw of the were four pieces stacked on top next of each other on the edge of Alexandria, and in the later seasons of the show, I kinda dropped off for a little bit, but seeing this going there, and really looking at previous clips, is both heartwarming and discouraging, because I’m about five years too late now for when they were doing the core shooting there, but at least the tours are still a thing although it, they are usually booked out like by two months.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to watch my video! I agree with you. It's both a happy and sad time with Alexandra being dismantled, but we still have great memories. If you're considering a tour, hit up Water Tower Tours in Senoia. Tell Stephen Aimless Adventures sent ya.
I was born & raised in NY but moved to GA in 2007. I’ve been going down to Senoia on and off since around 2014. I have video of when they were constructing Alexandria before it was actually on the show. One of the last times I went, I ran into Seth Gilliam (father Gabriel). I stopped at Nic and Norman’s and he was standing outside smoking a cigarette I believe. I parked and got out and saw him and I said “what’s up father?”, and he told me he liked my hat (I was wearing a mets hat). He told me he was originally from Crown Heights, New York. And we just got into small talk right there. He asked me why I moved from New York and I told him it was because we could no longer afford living there. Was pretty cool to just chat it up with father Gabe 😁 I did not ask for a photo or anything like that. I just talked with him for a bit and then went inside to eat.
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to watch the video and sharing your story. Seth is a cool dude and great actor. I recently saw him at The Camp in Peachtree City, GA. I miss the days of the cast wandering around and just hanging out. Friends of mine that live local said you never knew who would just pop up on any given day. I wish I had lived closer to experience that on the regular. The Alexandria and Woodbury sets were just so unique and epic! We'll never see something like that again. It was a rare thing and is dearly missed. TWD Family Forever!!
22:09 most people don't know and I didn't until recently, that black awning on the right of the view there is where Stephanie was smiling at Eugene from above when he was going crazy and having flashbacks when she went missing along with the gate and alleyway where he was sitting there burning his story in a bucket when princess came to talk to him. There were a few scenes they filmed from commonwealth using the "woodbury" area as well.
Valerie, thank you so much and thank you for taking time out of your day to watch the video! It was surreal seeing Alexandria returned to its former look. Blessings to you as well #twdfamily .
3:28 that was their hospital, After the large zombie scene when they got in & carl got shot in the eye, , Rick walks out & starts bashing zombies & the rest followed his lead.. After all of zombies was down, The camera panned down to all of them bloody & beat while waiting on the porch..
just found out about taking tours I would have found out after they get everything down would have loved to come take a tour of this when it was up and standing.
While the Alexandria set has been torn down there's still a ton of filming locations in end around Senoia Georgia worth checking out. Two friends of mine work for tour companies in Senoia. You can book with them through Stephen at Water Tower Tours and Jimmy at Georgia Tour Company.
When they take down the walls maybe they should at least keep up The portion of the wall with the welcome to Alexandria sign and the Alexandria safe zone sign along with a plaque that commemorate the The Walking Dead
That would be fantastic however, I don't think they'll leave up any of the wall. A plaque would be less intrusive to the new homeowners. More than likely it'll be a gated community to keep fans from wandering through the development.
@@AimlessAdventuresVlog If it’s gonna be a gated community, then that’s gonna be a big fat buzz kill. Because I don’t live in Georgia so I can’t see the set
There will definitely be a selfie fest going on for years to come. I'd still live there and completely embrace the culture similarly to the folks that live at the Strode house from Halloween 78. They put fake pumpkins out every year so people can hold them and recreate the scene of Jamie Lee Curtis sitting on the stoop in Halloween. I'm all about that!
The former Alexandria set is open to the public to walk through as of Feb 2023. If you're want to take a solid in-depth tour, two friends of mine work in Senoia and know a TON of filming locations and have years of TWD knowledge and experience. Hit up Water Tower Tours and book a tour with Stephen also, Georgia Tour Company and book a tour with Jimmy. Tell them I sent ya and enjoy your time in TWDLAND!!
this actually brought a tear to my eye. TWD forever. great video
Thank you for taking time to watch and share how it impacted you. Alexandria was and remains a special place to the twd family.

It's rare that a show lasts that long let alone has the ability to literally create a tight-knit fan family.
@@AimlessAdventuresVlog absolutely, loved every drop, well besides Abraham and Glen dying
That's true fan. I respect you. It was one of the best shows on tv.

That's right, they did use Main Street Senoia for those shots. Thanks for watching!

4 pf the houses are posted on zillow right now. Including the space where they ate their cast meals
It was a great run. Now, if we could come up with $750k we can turn one of those houses into an air b&b for Walking Dead Heads!
@@AimlessAdventuresVlog yeah it would be nice. Im not sure if those are allowed if the neighborhood has an hoa?

i filmed under that same hole in the wall. sad to see the windmill gone.

All-time favourite web series of mine 😍😍😘😘
The best!
I'd like to see what's left of the set. Who do I contact for a tour? Or is there a map of set locations?

The last time I was there there were still items that could be scrounged. They may be picked over by now.
