- The Talk host Sharon Osbourne joins Piers Morgan to react to the unanimous verdict given by the jury that Amber Heard did defame Johnny Depp and must now pay $15 million to him. Sharon says Amber lied under oath in her trial and that "she knows the game". She also believes that Johnny Depp's career is now revived and that all the big film studios will be after him after not only winning the case but winning the court of public opinion. Sharon also believes with all the details that came out during the case such as lying about donating money to charity, that big movie companies will not want to go near her and she cannot see a comeback for her.

As a woman I personally disagree with Amber saying the verdict was a setback to women. The setback to women came when Amber planted and tampered evidence and lied her way through everything. She is absolutely not an advocate for victims of sexual or domestic violence.

There is audio evidence, hours of it, that show she was the abuser. The Australia audio catches her admitting to hurting Johnny but that it was an "accident". THey couldnt show it in court because of the other people talking in it. She has a history of abuse, being caught by a policewoman hitting her ex-wife....can go on.

I agree with you. I am sick of this narrative as well. SHE was the abuser clearly and anything he did was reactionary. If the shoe were on the other foot and JD was the woman, no one would be calling him the abuser too. It’s a dangerous narrative because it keeps people in abusive relationships for longer thinking that THEY are the reason for their abuse and if they were not there this person wouldn’t be abusive. That’s not the reality. JD will go on to have healthy relationships with others as he’s done in the past and Amber will go on to abuse others as she’s done in the past. I'd followed a lot of this case via a number of different TH-camrs reactions: lawyers, body language experts (one was a former FBI on the US Channel Law&Crime network ), a British legal psychologist, and British domestic violence relationship professional. All, have found Amber Heard far from credible. She was acting, without knowledge of the human baseline. In other words, her body language did not work with her claims. She did not present as a very insecure victim of DV would: shy, vulnerable, afraid to look at the jury or her abuser. She sobbed without one tear, and her body language flipped from upset to poker face in an instant. Like an actor having to re-do their lines. Not a natural flow of emotion. She set Depp up with TMZ, and her stories got more incredible and contradictory. She got caught slipping up. At one point, admitting to writing the op-ed about JD... Major oops moment. Oh and she also amputated his finger. But that's OK because he is a man 😱. In the UK the media, unlike the US, seem to be a surprised that a' wife beater' has won his trial against an abusive woman! Because only Men abuse women right? If he cut her finger off would that be a different matter! Women can also be perpetrators of DV against men GF's and children. Starr Hobson anyone? A lot of men feel that they have to suffer in silence. I've been there. Far too many women play the victim and can be horrific people too.

I watched an older video of him visiting children in a hospital in Australia. It was filmed right after she cut the end of his finger off. One of the children asked him about his bandage and he told her it was an old “pirate injury”. He’s so awesome dressing as Captain Jack and visiting these hospitals ❤️

It’s really frustrating when people are like- It’s just a toxic relationship. It probably was, but the problem with that is that the person in the relationship who was abusive and villainous- their behavior just gets glossed over. She smacked him, punched him in the head, threw things at him, scratched at him and CUT HIS FINGER OFF. She also mocked him relentlessly and mercilessly. And she did all this while he was struggling to get sober. Then she ruined his reputation and his career. She is a horrible, abusive, cruel person. Her behavior should not be excused or ignored by blaming both parties. There is a massive difference between being in a toxic relationship and a physically abusive relationship. Assault is an actual crime.

@@DebbiAnn2 I’m so glad you are out now and safe. It’s a very hard thing to overcome and the permanent effects are definitely not easy. I did it for 22 years and I hate that I stayed so long, I thought I was helping my kids but in reality I only taught them to not want to be married. I’m only grateful that I was the only one physically abused and for the most part never in front of them. After that many years it becomes very easy to hide it and to spite everything my kids are great humans.

I didn't really know a lot about Sharon as a person. I never watched the Talk and never really thought much about her. I knew she was the wife and mother of Ozzy, but other then that I only had the show The Osbournes to go on. After what happened to her on the Talk my respect and admiration of her grew threefold. I'm all about having an open mind to hearing people's stories and or allegations. But if your claims are that outlandish then you better come with some receipts. Never went to the hospital or taken any real photos showing the aftermath of PA. And all your legal team and you can say is amica cream and make up works wonders. In no way was anyone with common sense gonna buy any of those stories. Even on the claims of VA. All they showed was venting texts JD sent to friends. It can't be VA if she never knew he said those things!!
AH came into that trial with a clown car in tow. Her lawyers, witnesses and so called experts were all picked up from the circus. Then she gets caught lying on top of all that. That's the reason she lost.

Agree. YT channel ThatUmbrellaGuy shows many texts / emails and audios between her and Depp that (also) didn't make it into this trial. And lo and behold; all of it shows her abusing him, time and again - she even admitted to cutting off his finger. JD is the one with the hospital records (no word about that in the video above), if AH genuinly had any - we would have absolutely seen them. The judge of this case was impeccable.
I have been under attack since a gang of Romanians attacked my front door when i reported them dealing drugs on the corner facing my home July 2019. 3 years have passed and the main attacker tried to run me over three times a year after the house attack. He has just been allowed to run back home to Romania just before sentencing for Dangerous driving. Should of been attempted murder but the same officer that give him a secret caution for showing remorse over the front door damage ,questioned him for dangerous driving not attempt murder. The same Police officer that had my wife and me arrested in 2020 for Police harassment and questioned me for harassment of the Labour Councillor there on the night of the attack. Who refused to go to court and tell the jury about the weapon thrown at me that he gave to the Police and they later denied its existence. Both Police and Councillor lost there cases. So police arrested me for a further 13 accusations of public order and harassment on the 999 callers and witnesses of the house attack in 2019 who like the councillor 10 of the 11 witnesses did not attend court after being asked by the Police not to attend . So i would be found guilty of affray in my own race attack. I have cctv of the attack all the 999 calls with the reports of white race abuse and threats to burn our house down. Redacted off the 999 calls by the same Police officer that took us to court and lost. Police are using the English neighbours that witnessed the attack to charge us with harassment because we are telling the story on my Facebook page . I am on bail so i cant name the cowards on Facebook

I hope this case set the precedent for other similar cases of individuals who are falsely accused or defamed by past partners/lovers/etc.
You can tell that Piers likes to dominate a conversation, if Sharon tries to carry on talking he talks over her, calmly, but persistently till he takes over. He is therefore not a good interviewer as he doesn't like to listen to anyone but himself.

It makes sense that she would want to characterize this as a mutually abusive relationship, because it exonerates herself by proxy. It is quite disgusting really. God I hate when people say that they both “abused each other”. Such a bad message. Often in abusive relationships there is an abuser and a victim. The victim can at some point react not do favorably but that doesn’t make them abusive. There is zero evidence that Johnny abused Amber. So many people are just assuming he did because he did drugs.
I agree. Even though I may not personally know Johnny, from what I can tell of every single thing I've seen/heard about him, says he is a honest, genuine, and very kind soul.

Her stylist gave a witness she saw the bruises and put make up on it. Under oath. And other witnesses. Under oath. So either they lied, then they should be proven for perjury, but why the jury ignored these witnesses but not the others I as a European cannot understand. I am not for one party or the other, but I cannot understand that.

By all appearances, his worst behaviors were defensive, people being assholes to each other over text isn't uncommon. The Judge in England had ties to "Sun", he had a conflict of interest and should have self-recused. Amber should be held accountable for perjury.

Why was Heard allowed to continuously lie under oath??? I am sick of people saying they abused each other. In every recording I listened to, she started everything! She sought him out and went after him. Yes, alcohol and drugs affect a person, but, from my experiences, it is the negative personality traits that come forward. If, you do not have an abusive nature without being under the influence, that will not and cannot come out under the influence. It has to be there to begin with and in JD’s case, it was never there. He may have abused kitchen cabinets, or a closet but that is a far cry from punching someone in the face.

Amber does not represent me as a survivor. It makes me upset knowing that she falsified so much information, and events. She should be taken off that board for representing abused woman around the world. So many flaws in her testimonies. I hope her the best and that she gets the much needed mental help and focus on herself rather than Johnny and appealing this case. Not all the evidence was used in the trials before, she's going to end up in jail for perjury if she continues on this path.

I don't. She is a vile human being, one who needed to be taught a severe lesson. Just as with Jody Arias though, she won't heed it. She'll never accept responsibility and will no doubt continue to abuse language ("pledge", "free speech", "gasslight"...) to deflect, project and twist reality. It's everybody's else' fault.

He may have in self defence. Totally 100% allowed, but maybe they didn't highlight that in court! Depp said he grabbed Heard to stop her hitting him and they accidentally clunked heads - totally believable. Depp throwing her across the room so she lands on top of a table tennis table? They do change you just as much, simply oft in entirely different ways. There are correlations between the causes and effects of alcoholism, drug addictions and these forms of domestic abuse (physical, verbal, emotional, psychological, mental), nevertheless they are largely incomparable.

There is reactive abuse when a victim is pushed too far. I know this for a fact. Drugs and alcohol are a way of self soothing making matters worse. Very happy about the verdict. I don’t think the defense stands a chance on appeal and Elaine may be setting herself up for a defamation lawsuit against her and/or disciplinary action from the Bar.

I haven't seen a movie of Johnny Depp's in quite some time and I had no idea who she was but here in America it did not take but literally 20 minutes to figure out that there is something wrong with this girl and then when you heard all the tapes and you saw for your own self where she had lied and more than once or twice. It was a no brainer complete no brainer.

I'd never heard of her. I've never seen a movie she's in. As a sexual abuse survivor, I can tell SHE'S NEVER BEEN ABUSED!!! Abused people DON'T act like her. Had it been me who was in court over sexual abuse, and I LOST, I would have been SCREAMING.
I can tell that HE was an abused person by the way he acted. I was an extremely confident person. Then. Suddenly. I was beat down and was dared to say anything. HE acts like I did. And he may be "acting", but NO ONE can "act" ALL the little body language things people have no control over that he does (and that she doesn't do). He turtles while she literally looks down her nose. SHE displays the narcissist, power trip, body languages while he turtles.
Seeing that was enough for me.
Every single piece of evidence illustrated that he was possibly abusive to himself, not to her. There were so many recordings of the two of them, both audio and visual, showing him literally leaving every time there was an argument that was starting to spiral. Not a single witness (minus her sister, whose testimony has been called into serious question) could say they saw him get physical with her. She admits on multiple recordings that she gets violent. So no, I don't think they were both abusers here, and frankly I'm really tired of people saying that's the case.
SAME! Seriously, enough! SHE was the abuser. That's a fact. You don't have to say the man also abused the woman to make it "okay" for the woman to be abusive. She's just a monster.
