Thanks Cole for a great reaction. Angelina was 8 at this performance. Check out her outdoor concert singing "What a difference a day makes" just after winning NGT. Shockingly beautiful.
Angelina dreamed of performing on Norway's Got Talent and she got her wish and then went ahead and won (at 7-8 yrs old). Later on at age 13 she performed for AGT/The Champions and the purpose being to gain recognition from the American audience (which she did). THAT WAS IT! I seriously doubt if she will ever appear on another Talent Show. To sing at Charity Events to support worthy causes, she will never turn them down. Cole, Angelina sings 'for us', not only to us and and to sing to gain personal gratification is not in the cards. She is a humble, kind, caring and loving human being and all of that comes through in her voice with all it's soulfulness and she touches our hearts. I believe music can be divided into two very distinct orders, one external and the other internal. Music generally enjoyed by younger generations offer lots of excitement and the music bounces off their bodies and excites their senses. Music generally enjoyed by older generations offer sounds which reach their hearts and the 'excitement' they receive is in the form of love. Don't misunderstand, older guys and gals can 'do the lindy' to lots of 'fast' music and love every minute of it and the younger crowd, if they slow down for just a moment, will listen to someone like Angelina sing and wonder, "Wow!. What was that?" They heard greatness but they couldn't exactly comprehend the feeling they had inside their body. And they return to the fast paced music again. BUT, WITHOUT A DOUBT, their hearts will remember Angelina's voice and there will come a time when they listen to her a second time and a third time and begin to be drawn into her world when she sings 'for them'. Angelina is singing for 'all of us'. ALL OF US? There will be a day everyone in the world will know who Angelina Jordan is. only Angelina...
Thanks Cole for the great reaction and comment. As you will see in comments, this is a Charity event, one of many this young lady has done over the years raising monies for needy children, one of her personal goals as a child. The money she won for winning NGT competition she donated a large portion of to children charities, she is a wonderful human being, just so happens to be extremely gifted. As mentioned in comments, there are wonderful other renditions of this song she has done. Cheers Cole, and appreciation for your continuing journey with AJ. 🥰🥰
Angelina è talmente grande e talmente semplice che mi viene da piangere ogni volta che ascolto un suo pezzo.Dio,ti ringrazio per il dono di averci dato questa creatura.
As grandfather, all children are born with a potential gift of some kind..... you'll recognize this at some point and you'll help them nurture that gift. Great reaction!
Thank you for reacting to another amazing performance by Angelina. For me The Barefoot Angel is a once-in-a-lifetime experience with her unique and angelic voice.
Cole thanks for the wonderful reaction, Angelina at only 8 years is a magical encounter of simplicity, musical intelligence, talent, professionalism and sensitivity that makes you fall in love immediately. You continues to listen to her, she has hundreds of wonderful songs in her repertoire and despite her young age, starting from the age of 7, she has created interpretations that never disappoint, she always reaches and pampers our soul. 💛🧡❤
When she was twelve, she sang for Quincy Jones'birthday. You have to see her FIRST TAKE at rehersal with a full orchestra, its absolutely amazing. The song is Fly me to the moon...
Cole this young lady is tremendous, I still do not understand how she sings this well at that age. Loved your expressions at her voice. Greta reaction and you have a blessed day. By the way Austin Brown did a version of AT LAST that you might check out.
Hi. You will find several performances of Angelina from this period with this song, among them my favorite at the age of 9 at the Hemnes Båt & Fjord concert - 2015. The whole concert is worth watching: Angelina Jordan concert 2014 (the discrepancy in dates is probably a misunderstanding). Regards, Gregory from Poland
This was soon after NGT. It was a charity event, and what is even more amazing is that she had a bad cold at the time. Somehow, though, the smoky crackle in her voice just enhances it.
If you are staying with the young Angelina, one of her best performances is her cover of the jazz classic, Feelin' Good. She is 10 yo & on National TV with fantastic backing musicians. I've heard a lot of different versions by a lot of legendary singers, but her version is my favorite. A respected vocal coach said about this performance that she is at Masterclass level & could be a vocal coach herself at that age. See what you think! th-cam.com/video/p8kAL-sGJx8/w-d-xo.html
If you like to hear her sing jazz at 8 years she sang "Fly Me To The Moon" on the TV Show "The View" a classic and probably one of her best on You tube!
As you like the song, here's a playlist with other occassions of her performing At Last, including rehearsals. Last time known she did it at a souncheck for one of her summer 2022 concerts, but she did not perform it at the actual show: th-cam.com/play/PLddfS789jBCrGCVpEtpsWNuFlimn0Rew7.html
Thanks for your reaction. This performance was one of a number done at events to raise money for charity around the holiday season in 2014, when Angelina was 8 years old (only a few weeks from her 9th birthday). She was given the gift to listen to any song and create her own version. Angelina did another version of "At Last" in concert in 2015 and that is my favorite. Here is the link. th-cam.com/video/iZD6SyClsko/w-d-xo.htmlsi=euT2F8VF7Vk3pt3s
In December 2014, 8-year-old Angelina sang this song at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. "At Last" is a 1941 song written by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren for the musical film Orchestra Wives, starring George Montgomery and Ann Rutherford. It was performed in the film and on record by Glenn Miller and his orchestra, with vocals by Ray Eberle and Pat Friday. Unreleased recordings of the song, however, had been made in 1941 by Glenn Miller for possible inclusion in the film Sun Valley Serenade. An orchestral version of the song without lyrics first appeared in that movie in 1941. A new version was recorded by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra in Chicago on May 20, 1942, and released by RCA Victor Records as a 78 single, catalogue number 27934-B, backed with the A side "(I've Got a Gal In) Kalamazoo". The song reached number9 on the Billboard pop charts in 1942, staying on the charts for nine weeks, and later became a standard. In 1960, it was covered by blues singer Etta James in an arrangement by Riley Hampton that improvised on Warren's melody. James' version was the title track in the same-named album At Last! and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
As others have mentioned, Angelina was not well when she sang for this charity event, but she wanted to go on anyway. You really owe it to yourself to watch her at this age when she’s hitting on all cylinders. She’s phenomenal. Here’s a couple that I love-one very jazzy, and the other a lighter, but still jazzy take. She’s singing outdoors, live in both with a band behind her. The first is Angelina with a jazzier version of this same Etta James song. It impossible to describe how an eight year old can deliver true, extemporaneous jazz like this, but just watch: th-cam.com/video/iZD6SyClsko/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VcN-dF3XVU80TWdj Second, her cover of the 1950’s Dinah Washington hit, What a Difference a Day Makes, is just perfect. Perfect tone, perfect vocal slides, amazing phrasing, immaculate timing-at 8 years old: th-cam.com/video/XHnkVextoQw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ESvr5SunV1iliLBV
I have herd everything this child has done. She had ultra perfect pitch, and when I hear her do an interview, she will be asked to sing something impromptu, and it is piano perfect every time. She is truly a musical genius!!
You can feel it IMMEDIATELY,.. she understands this music. She is IN THE POCKET completely. This person from Norway, is quite simply THE VOICE OF OUR GENERATION. No one has this collective effect on viewers from around the world.
This was after NGT;) There are separate vids of each of the 4 NGT performances (with judges comments) and vids with all 4 performances in a single vid (around 20 min vid). I can't find right now the subtitled on with judges comments, but here is her singing the 4 songs. I'm sure others will provide that link. th-cam.com/video/O2bX15tYFVk/w-d-xo.html
For any AJ fans who might not have seen this yet, this is video from her channel last month right before her concert in Las Vegas ... th-cam.com/video/I_59PZXkusc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2B61Nyt9wrd24zBr
Loved your reaction Cole. This song and Angelina performing it are really special. Two other recommendations for you: 1) here she is singing At Last around age 15/16? th-cam.com/video/OBYsU1MNm8w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YrtJlRx3R1xbwPp3 And then there is 2) a fan tribute that modified the lyrics to incorporate her EP (Old Enough) and several track titles, that you may enjoy: th-cam.com/video/4yNK5UC1HOo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=w11fCqsMNrMhP4Ek
She had a bit of a sniffle here...she's done this song many times and, as good as this one is, she's done it even better...here's one that's just her and Egil and a pianist jamming when she was 8 th-cam.com/video/b-LhWfBrLrI/w-d-xo.html
Please check her out at the beginning stages of her professional Career at only age 6. 🤯🤯🤯 She is a Phenomenon. #AngelinaJordanlivestudioHurt #AngelinaJordanIwhohavenothinglivestudio

AJ: probably the finest example of musical prodigy in our lifetime.

I've always wanted Angelina to sing a Roy Orbison song! And Stevie Nicks! ❤
As far aa i know she hasn't done any Roy Orbertson song, but she did several Elvis Presley song. The most recent in Vegas ...Suspicious mind

As far as I know she has not down a Roy Orbeson song. You should listen to her EP. A great song on it is "Now I'm the fool".
