Minor point; the film's actual title is *DOA* . Viewers weren't supposed to understand it stood for Dead on Arrival until the very end as the great reveal. Your title change is the ultimate spoiler!

The sadistic killer who enjoys hitting Edmond O´Brien in the stomach is Neville Brand. He was the second most decorated American soldier during WWII. By coincidence, the first most decorated allied soldier was Audie Murphy, who also went on to become a movie star in lots of B movies.

If you think about it HONESTLY, color is MORE realistic than B & W. I have enjoyed this film in B&W for many years, and for me, the colorization does not detract one iota from it’s power.

Lots of old photos were hand colored. I don't mind it. It'll always be flawed to some extent, but the eyes hunger for color. Some is better than none.

I swear to God some people just bitch about waking up in the morning. Both versions are available on the channel just watch the black and white one if that's what you need to do. I'm 66 and has a child didn't have a color TV until I was out of high school. Some things I watch black and white, and some things I watch colorized it just to see how they look. I like both equally, get a life! 🙄

The colouring gets better and better. I don’t mind it….it’s not as if the original negative is being damaged. Another generation will go back to b&w. So silly to complain about nothing.
