From 0:05, the Bass went in and so did everybody else! LOVE THE BASS !

Yall say Too much sheading yet they're still giving God praise and enjoying themselves! If you've never been to a convention....this is how it is. I think it's great that they can come and be free, have fun, and still praise God even if people are recording them in the process.
I'm sure God was pleased because they play like that all the time style God gave them.
Man I miss C.O.G.I.C. I haven’t been to a COGIC church in 7 years but these guys are amazing with the Spirit of God upon them!!!!! Reminds me of me and my brothers playing in church. I play the set as well and when the Spirit hit you like this God takes control and all you can do is give Him Glory!!!

Yoooo! This is church. I don’t care what anyone says.If I’m going to church this is vibe and atmosphere it has to be. Let the dead bury the dead. Church is supposed to be a place where joy fills the room. I see nothing but skillful musicians loving what they do in this video. Church is a place of excellence. Love seeing it displayed at a high level.

These guys are so great. I love to see these musicians play with such passion and conviction. I am so moved by the expression. NOW if only we can work together as musicians and stop trying to be the NEXT BIG THING and work towards being GREAT TOGETHER, i think the competition can stop and the real music can start again. Just a thought and a hope.
Elder Josh Mayfield on drums is killing this song as a gospel drummer for the last 30 years has me wanting to play drums right next to him I have listened to this song about 50 times I would really love to play with the Mayfield Brothers just once

When you’re a drummer and you see your bass player bouncing like that…there’s no greater feeling. That means y’all are one!!
All I can say is these guys are TOTALLY BLESSED!!!!! But being talented & gifted are totally different. Being talented can ONLY be looked at in a natural sense. But being gifted can be looked at in both a natural & spiritual way. So with that being said if your a musician & you don't have the power to usher in or bring the true holy spirit(Not emotion or feelings) to the atmosphere, building or whatever setting your in then your just talented!!! No shade to anyone because truth sets us free, I have to tell it.

I like the lil eddie heyward bounce that Josh is doing on the drums. As a drummer that when you feeling it. Calvin, Josh and eddie are a few of the best drummers period but what makes it great is that it is for the Lord.

Im soo confused. God gave these men a talent and you guys get upset when they use their talent cause they are "Doing to much" exactly why some musicians leave the church. If you cant use your talent in the church where can you use it? But these brothers are BLESSED

I'm just sitting looking at these comments on how they're "showboating" this is how musicians do these conventions like the holy convocation and aim being the biggest ones for Cogic, so us young upcoming musicians can take the stuff we saw and heard back to our churches these guys are inspirations to many musicians and basically it's all about God,the guys behind them aren't worshipping them they're are making the "StankFace" as a lot if church musicians do when they hear/see something they liked and grooving to the music that's what they're doing bc you can tell they're church musicians or singers too! from a church musicians viewpoint it's good to have some fun while playing music that's all they're doing that's how they express their feelings through music,if you've ever seen the mayfield brothers live playing at aim or at the convocation you definitely understand what I'm saying.
i totally agree with the comment under this. Ive watched so many gospel musicians roll straight in to the secular world smh. george mccurdy, thaddeus tribett, rex hardy, scooter, etc.. we need to support our musicians before we lose more
Thaddues tribbet still plays gospel
All of them still play Gospel music. Spanky plays at his family's church in Philly. Thad plays at the Potter's house for TD Jake's. Rex and them still play in church. We didn't lose them. They may not tour with gospel artist often but they still play it regularly.
+Jon Elder I think what the guy above meant is that gospel musicians tend to go and play secular music instead of just sticking to playing gospel period!
