It was exciting and fun to watch. If I was a new HC this is the offense I would run.

@@kevolicious yep. I'm a huge Georgia fan & I wish they ran something similar. If they did I don't see why they couldn't win a natty.

This style doesn't win championships. Their is a reason the SEC and Clemson win it every year. Pro style with bigger stronger and faster athletes. You can't use a bunch of 320 pound linemen to run a no huddle offense. They would be more tired then the defense. It is fun to watch and I miss this style dearly. But it won't win against the big boys. Never winning a national title changed us to an SEC style.

@@johnstover4584 you literally don't know what your talking about. Bama, Clemson, Ohio St, oklahoma, ect all the best teams except Georgia all are spread no huddle teams. You can win in a air raid systems. The problem is that the only teams that have actually used it are lower level programs. If Texas Tech & SMU can put up 500/600+ yards of offense what do you think teams filled with 5 & 4 ⭐ players 3 deep.
At the end if the day recruiting is the backbone of success. But when those high level players are put in offensive systems that are designed to always make the defense wrong. Results are insane. LSU last year is the best example. LSU have had Bama level talent for the pats decade. LSU the past 10+ years ran a old school pro style offense but couldn't win more that 9/10 games a year. Great defense, great offensive talent still couldn't get over the hump because the offense was out dated & in the modern CFB If you can't score 30+ on elite teams you aren't championship. 2015 Bama is another example of changing to a modern offense. It took Bama to another level. Go look at most playoff games with 30+ points. Almost all of them vs the best defenses.

@@johnstover4584 SEC wins because of recruiting not because of the offenses. The recent dip in SEC defense is a combo of the limited off season & most sec offense aren't outdated like they used to be. LSU won a natty last year because Joe Brady changed their offense from old school pro style to spread. All the big boys have been changed offensively for years.

I came to watch this because UCLA beat USC 62-33 in this past college football season (2021).. The announcers of that game said that the 62 points that UCLA scored in that game was TIED for the most points ever scored against USC. I found out later that the other team that scored 62 points against USC was Oregon in 2012, so I came here to watch that game.
I want to make three points about this game. Point One: Chip Kelly was the head coach of the winning team in both of those two 62-point games against USC, so he is obviously an offensive GENIUS. Point Two: Matt Barkley, the USC QB, had what is arguably the BEST GAME by a FRESHMAN QB in the history of the PAC. USC was able to answer almost every Oregon score in the game after getting behind by ten points early. GREAT game by Barkley. (And I am a UCLA alum.) Point Three: this was an AMAZING game. Until late in the 4th quarter USC was able to answer every Oregon score. I have not checked this, but this might be the most points ever scored by two teams in a PAC game. My suggestion is this: WATCH THIS GAME! YOU WILL REALLY ENJOY IT!
