When I was 7 my mother put a hot iron on my right butt cheek and upper thigh. I’m 70 now and I can still remember the pain. That 2 yo baby suffered - and suffered for a long time too. It takes a long time for burns that deep to heal without medical attention. My scar is a textured, clear Isosceles triangle with 2 slightly curved sides. That young woman will bear that scar her whole life! These scars are our mementos of evils perpetrated on children and also of our survival despite that evil. I was abused at that age in similar ways. The guy (my moms ex) saw me at a carnival 10 years later and gave me $200 and said “sorry for what I did to you”. Haven’t seen him since but he lives near. He seriously thinks $200 would heal my wounds, cigarette burns, water boarded, sa. I went through so much trauma it triggered my memory at a year old. My therapist can’t believe it. I am one of her favorite cases though. My hypnosis matched what I said from memory. I was 1 year old and described his entire trailer down to the detail of the color of the carpet. I went under hypnosis and described everything the same. She couldn’t believe it as childrens memories don’t develop until ages 4-5.

When I was a baby (and old enough to sit up easily), my teenaged sister scalded me while giving me a bath because she didn't think to test the water temperature before setting me down in the tub. Basically from being a dumb teenager. I started screaming, she freaked out, and when our mom plucked me out of the water my skin was bright pink. She told my sister to feel the water. She did, felt how hot it was, and immediately burst into tears because she had hurt me. Even then, I didn't have scars or permanent burns on my body. Nothing. My skin was just very, very pink for a few minutes. (My sister refused to bathe me ever again, though, because she had traumatized herself. lol)
Same here. I was 5 and trying to be a big girl by drawing my own bath. I filled the tub with nothing but hot water and sat in it, or at least tried to because it was so hot but I was a stubborn chit and didn't want to ask for help so I toughed it out and got my super hot bath. It was lukewarm by the time I was done and my mama helped me out of the tub and asked why my skin was red. 😅 I wasn't scarred up from it, just pink and tender skinned for a little while. To get scarred by water, like they're claiming, it would have to be a literal roiling boil and no water heater will get your bath water that hot out of the faucet or shower head for obvious reasons.

My sister was burn3d with an iron as a baby too. Hers was an accident. She was left unattended on the bed with the iron on the nightstand. She reached over go grab it and fell along with the iron where it landed on her face. She's 21 now and it's completely cleared up now. They had to have had that iron on her back for a while for that burn to last this long

I can think of one reason as to why people might do that to a child. Something about their past or about themselves that they really don't like and it drives them to the point of anger and rage and since that child was there and, in their minds, not being able to fight back, these cowards decided to take their anger out of them and get satisfying pleasure out of it. Not because of the child but because it's their way of finally squelching and defeating their inner demons. They might feel sorry about hurting the child afterwards but their main goal is pretty much either getting rid of the past or that part of themselves so that they can move forward.

When I was a baby (and old enough to sit up easily), my teenaged sister scalded me while giving me a bath because she didn't think to test the water temperature before setting me down in the tub. Basically from being a dumb teenager. I started screaming, she freaked out, and when our mom plucked me out of the water my skin was bright pink. She told my sister to feel the water. She did, felt how hot it was, and immediately burst into tears because she had hurt me.
Even then, I didn't have scars or permanent burns on my body. Nothing. My skin was just very, very pink for a few minutes.
(My sister refused to bathe me ever again, though, because she had traumatized herself. lol)
Same here. I was 5 and trying to be a big girl by drawing my own bath. I filled the tub with nothing but hot water and sat in it, or at least tried to because it was so hot but I was a stubborn chit and didn't want to ask for help so I toughed it out and got my super hot bath. It was lukewarm by the time I was done and my mama helped me out of the tub and asked why my skin was red. 😅 I wasn't scarred up from it, just pink and tender skinned for a little while. To get scarred by water, like they're claiming, it would have to be a literal roiling boil and no water heater will get your bath water that hot out of the faucet or shower head for obvious reasons.

My sister was burn3d with an iron as a baby too. Hers was an accident. She was left unattended on the bed with the iron on the nightstand. She reached over go grab it and fell along with the iron where it landed on her face. She's 21 now and it's completely cleared up now. They had to have had that iron on her back for a while for that burn to last this long

I can think of one reason as to why people might do that to a child. Something about their past or about themselves that they really don't like and it drives them to the point of anger and rage and since that child was there and, in their minds, not being able to fight back, these cowards decided to take their anger out of them and get satisfying pleasure out of it. Not because of the child but because it's their way of finally squelching and defeating their inner demons. They might feel sorry about hurting the child afterwards but their main goal is pretty much either getting rid of the past or that part of themselves so that they can move forward.
Their first mistake was leaving a toddler with a 13 year old and other children. What she did was horrible, but there should have been an adult there.
