I know some are commenting that she does not have telepathy. Which may be true for the cartoon. But in this series, once she hears others voices and sees mental images of what they are seeing, that crosses the line into Telepathy.

everytime Sam is around her, she can feel the peacefulness of Sam's mind (which is what she needs since she's overwhelmed by the emotions of different people) That's why I ship so much even though Riven is the original boyfriend of Musa from the cartoon.
Musa's powers are the most powerful because fairy powers comes from their emotions, and Musa can go into other people's emotions, so if she can tap into other people emotions she can tap into other peopl's powers as well. She can bassically use other people's powers against them.
Plus the Actress is actually acting REALLY well for her role. I know there's a lot of hate for her not being an Asian actor. But that's the directors fault. She is doing a fantastic job though

I think Musa is set up to be the most underestimated Fairy in the crowd. I mean being an Auditory Empath and Partial Telepath is already an OP set when used accurately... The fact that she is the Fairy of Music makes me think of two things. 1) She could rediscover the power of Music through her Mind Fairy powers, making her the first Mind Fairy of Music in centuries. Just like how the Earth Fairies/Nature Fairies can use various Magical Techniques associated with the Earth. It's implied that Mind Fairies are also capable of the same range. Where Farah used Telekinesis, Musa's would be similar to Beatrix's Electro-Telekinesis where she uses an underlying element to perform the same actions a Telekinetic Fairy could. Only Musa's would be the control and manipulation of sound waves or vibrations. 2) She develops her empathic Mind Powers and unlocks Sound based Magic again for the first time in centuries (again think of it like how the Earth Fairies/Nature Fairies can use various Magical Techniques associated with the Earth.) enabling Musa to actually generate Sound Magic - as a Mind Fairy she can then project/generate Sound like Emotions the same way she can hear every other person's thoughts she can also project it outward if she tried and trained to do so. Like the closest comparison I can think of is Quake from Marvel/Vibe from DC in contrast to the traditional Sound Powers like Silver Banshee from DC it's kind of like Lydia's Banshee from Teen Wolf where the sound power is rooted from emotion. Music also has very adverse Psychological effects on the brain, auditory triggers are used in Mental Conditioning of all sorts from Hypnosis to Mind-Control. Meditation is one example the (Hmmm) allows you to centralize and focus on that one sound drowning out every other sound. Or like when we can hear our own heartbeat if we remained still and in a quiet place.

Musa's Telepathy is more or less a double edge sword. One hand she can be pretty helpful with her powers, but on the flip side of that coin, might be able pick something up about you that you don't want her to know. So you got to be careful with you're thoughts.

I do like the fact that she uses headphones to block out people cause people with telepathy or empathy, things like that need a way to block out others when the thoughts of others get to them. maybe in the 2nd season, her powers could evolve into music, there is such a thing as musical empathy in the writting world and she could use it in a way that matches Musa in the show. I don't like the show itself because it just feels like another show with Winx Club slapped on, but other than them changing Musa's entire character, I do like the way her powers are written and she could have some potential.

How to fix the whitewashing: It’s revealed this is actually Darcy, which would also explain the mind-based powers. The real Musa (played by a visibly Asian actress) shows up with sound/music-based powers and helps defeat her imposter. The betrayal, the long con… it could be a great twist while also undoing harmful whitewashing and disrespect to an ethnic community. Fixed it.
I wonder if Musa could unlock other abilities (i.e. telekinesis, mind reading, etc, like Farah), or if she's limited to empathic abilities - the only Mind Fairies we've seen are Farah & Rosalind, both of who have learned other kinds of Fairy Magic/ other elements too, so it's difficult to tell what powers Musa could possibly unlock/ hv access to. They also hv different eye colours while using their magic (Musa - purple, Farah - greyish blue).
Hopefully season 2 she actually uses her powers to attack or cause heads to burst. I reckon she had bloom have the potential to be the most powerful faeries considering her powers are linked to her emotions and she has empathy.

Bloom doesn't really remind me of cady other than the fact that both came to a new school after living in different places. Bloom lived in California but traveled to Alfea to help with her powers, but cady lived in africa and moved to where the movie took place

I think if Musa was a music fairy in the series, she couldn't often use her power. So I prefer the empath fairy for the series.

I do like the fact that she uses headphones to block out people cause people with telepathy or empathy, things like that need a way to block out others when the thoughts of others get to them.
maybe in the 2nd season, her powers could evolve into music, there is such a thing as musical empathy in the writting world and she could use it in a way that matches Musa in the show.
I don't like the show itself because it just feels like another show with Winx Club slapped on, but other than them changing Musa's entire character, I do like the way her powers are written and she could have some potential.

In the original Winx series, all the powers are based off of magic (disco balls,sparkles) but in fate, their powers are more element based (elemental control) hope this makes a bit more sense 🙃
faries magic are linked to there emotions she's and empath if in the next season her powers evolve she could potentially stop a fairy from being able to use there magic or enhance her magic by making her emotions stronger
How to fix the whitewashing:
It’s revealed this is actually Darcy, which would also explain the mind-based powers. The real Musa (played by a visibly Asian actress) shows up with sound/music-based powers and helps defeat her imposter. The betrayal, the long con… it could be a great twist while also undoing harmful whitewashing and disrespect to an ethnic community.

I wonder if Musa could unlock other abilities (i.e. telekinesis, mind reading, etc, like Farah), or if she's limited to empathic abilities - the only Mind Fairies we've seen are Farah & Rosalind, both of who have learned other kinds of Fairy Magic/ other elements too, so it's difficult to tell what powers Musa could possibly unlock/ hv access to.
They also hv different eye colours while using their magic (Musa - purple, Farah - greyish blue).
If she can unlock them, I hope she sticks w/ her empathic abilities anyway tbh - it would just to hv it be a bit more clear.
If she’s an empath.. perhaps she can use music to harness her own emotions and use them to developing other skills.

A lot of people are mad after the fact that Mesa is whitewash cause in the cartoon original winxclub nmusa is Asian. Musa, as the Fairy of Music, has music-based powers. Musa's powers are connected not just with music but the actual power of sound waves and sonic pressure. Musa can manipulate things by creating sonic booms which cause rumbling and crashes

Bloom doesn't really remind me of cady other than the fact that both came to a new school after living in different places. Bloom lived in California but traveled to Alfea to help with her powers, but cady lived in africa and moved to where the movie took place
