    She handled the questions very well in this interview. Wish these interviewers could come up with better questions for Dusty. Must have been frustrating for her to have to discuss the same thing over and over. Wish someone would have asked her about how she developed her unique singing style. Also, would like to know how it is she can sing all genres so wonderfully: Folk, Pop, Soul, R&B, Standards, Broadway, Jazz.....anything she sang she excelled at.

    Sublime, charismatic, intelligent, articulate, humourous and ridiculously talented superstar. What the hell was in the soil and water in the 20th century British Isles to grow this model of perfection? She has it all, when most had lost their minds to 60s LSD, or their wallets on late 80s toxic stocks.

    "just don't compare me with Samantha, she's got bigger titties than I do..."
    LOL!!!!!!
    THAT'S how a star finishes an interview.
    I love these interviews after her comeback. I don't know how close she came to finding true happiness, but here you can sense she's found a balance. After such a stretch of (unfair) commercial disappointment, this was a woman back in the spotlight. A #2 hit on both sides of the pond. That old swagger and confidence from the 60's was back.

    She looks fantastic. I think The Pet Shops Boys resurrected her career and took off 20 years from her life. Compare her appearance in the video for "What Have I Done to Deserve This" in 1988 to her appearance here and she looks totally different and for the better!

    she didn't hint about her sexuality because she didn't want to. I mean there were pictures of her marriage to teda. she was on stage in Canada in 1986 singing some everstupid song softcore by her lesbian love carole pope. look at her on stage. she was with her in the early 80's and the middle 80's. she was with many Faye Harris, Norma tanega, sue Campbell, and the list goes on. but the real shocker was her affair with Shirley bassey, the great song writer Diane Warren.

    • @mr.k1503
      @mr.k1503 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The real shocker is your fake news-----were you in the bedrooms? I suppose Queen Elizabeth and Thatcher were lovers?

  • @SenorZorrozzz
    @SenorZorrozzz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Her time in LA didn’t help her career but she did drugs there. LA and Hollywood stinks. When she came to live here all of the variety shows should have booked her. She was an international talent. I don’t know why they didn’t. Jealously?

  • @carlapizzicone5831
    @carlapizzicone5831 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    it was also said she was with some Indian born singer, I guess he was some British singer. other than him, if it's true he's the only male lover I ever heard
    about. she didn't hide it she just refused to talk about it.I adore her. she seemed to liked woman in my opinion, who were dark skinned and most looked like guys hey to each his own. from what her lover Norma tanega says, DUSTY wanted 3 things. to be a good Catholic girl, she wanted to be black, and she wanted to be straight. those were Norma's words. nothing ever would change my opinion of her.She was the greatest singer ever.

    I was always disappointed that she seemed to ruin her voice quickly by smoking and doing drugs. Then again, what singer actually does maintain their vocals through adulthood? Paul McCartney and Elton John sound like crap these days. Aretha hadn't been able to carry a tune for decades before her death.
