Tiniyak ng Armed Forces of the Philippines na gagawin nito ang lahat para protektahan ang Sabina o Escoda Shoal at iba pang teritoryo sa West Philippine Sea na inaangkin ng China.
Sa gitna ito ng mga pangamba na baka makuha ng China ang control sa nasabing bahura matapos mag-pull out ang BRP Teresa Magbanua ng Philippine Coast Guard.
