Wanted to add during this time an employee at the card factory stole stacks and stacks of top pick cards and tried to sell them to a local card seller. Thankfully the card seller noticed this was odd and turned him in. If I remember correctly the cards the guy did steal were sent to be destroyed and not redistributed

The Espeon Vmax was originally a Japanese promo and not in the Eevee Heroes set that makes up half of evolving skies, so I’m assuming that they just weren’t sure if they were going to use it as a promo outside of Japan or not by the time the set list for Evolving Skies was set.
I was so shocked watching this because currently, though I got the card when I was like 10-11 and I’m now a teenager, I have the espeon vmax card in my Pokémon card binder, so I’m just now realizing I have a 200+ dollar card sitting in my pokemon card binder that I haven’t touched in months
I have the Vmax Umbreon. Tbh, the art's okay for me. I like it's full art V card better (the one where it's sitting atop some stairs and looking down at Pokémon below it with the moon behind it. Looks like such a freakin' king.)

Like I've seen pictures/video of the table he tried to sell at, there were literal stacks of Umbreon Vmax and Espeon Vmax. There's a REASON these things are so rare

Umbreon may not be the best Eeveelution in the games, but those who are a part of The Cult of Umbreon have been dedicated to this grouping of pixels since the start of the new millennium and they have not loosened their loyalty one solitary bit.
