You bet! Just keep in mind we're using the actual price of the game, not the discount that will be listed when the game is actually released as that info will be outdated a week after release.
I may have missed it but I'd really like to know just how much time the reviewers spent with the games in the 3 Minute Review series. This was more of a hands-on preview than an actual review.
yes commander I’m sure it can’t be any worse than IGN’s 8 hour playtime before the review of RAD. So far these are the only 2 reviews I’ve seen and both of them leave out so much about this game. I really hope better reviews come along for this game since these 2 reviewers clearly didn’t want to put forth any effort
Ah, the top-down action-rpg. Ever the bastion of hope for developers who need to make a low-budget game in hopes it will boost sales allowing them to make something better. Very rarely do you end up with a Torchlight (or Torchlight II), Grim Dawn, Titan Quest or Diablo. Usually you're lucky if you end up with Victor Vran or Van Helsing Chronicles. Sometimes you get a lost gem like Sacred 2. Most of the time though you get forgettable rogue-likes like this. It's sad considering this is the same company that did Brutal Legend.
Zidders Roofurry they did do Brutal Legend but they also had EA’s money to make that. And honestly if it wasn’t for EA’s marketing and Jack Black no one would even remember that game exists
How and the hell do you use quirks? Is it even something you can use? I’ve still yet to figure out how to use them. I’ve spent a good amount of time with this game over the past few days and I’m enjoying the hell out of it. I’m just lost when it comes to quirks.
A slight tweak to improve this: Put the 3 minute time at the beginning in the corner during the video so people can see how how long you've been going Just feels needed
I thought about doing this when we first started them up on Gameumentary, but it just looked tacky. I wanted it to be animated clock that counted down from 2 minutes, but eh.
...cause there are already more than you can ever play in your entire lifetime out of the latter already maybe? Roguelike genre has grown popular, but it’s not like it’s dominating the gaming market to even justify complaining about a dev making one.
@@feartrain1282 Dude this is a unique rogue lite from double fine that's the point your reaching trying to downplay the game just because you jate the genre grow up dude.
"An 80s pop inspired soundtrack that was so authentic I had to mute it" *changes topic* ...wtf does this even mean? You don't like the eighties? No wonder you weren't keen on the game as the point, as Foghorn Leghorn may say, it flew right past ya! The game is literally a love letter to the eighties and nineties with a modern approach to 32-bit games like Zombies Ate My Neighbors. I get you had 3 minutes, but this was a horrible review by someone who clearly didn't understand the material they were covering. I've enjoyed seeing this series' opinions on some of the games. This one? No. I agree with the repetition, but this is one of the most fun games I've played in the last few years, even if it is just nostalgia. I don't see it having much lasting appeal, but damn that ride was fun while it lasted and I still look forward to the final product (I pre-ordered on Steam) even if it only lasts a few hours before redundancy sets in. I got into the last beta and streamed it (with permission) and my then 33 year old fat ass had a genuine smile from ear to ear the whole time. It has its faults, but what makes it so fun was clearly lost on the writer, who I'm going to assume was probably not alive or too young to appreciate the eras this game is glorifying.
@@Gobsnachaz Can you point to the part of the comment where I specifically said that? Cause all I see is "You missed the point of the game" i.e. "If the music alone hates you, no wonder you didn't care much for it."

Hmm I enjoy the hell out of the game. Not as great as ETG or anything but still a good game. The way you speak about it kinda gives me the vibe you have some conflict of intrest
Why not just make it a game that progresses naturally...with less repetition, bosses, items, weapons and actual characters? Roguelike approach seems so adverse.
Because BINDING OF ISAAC, NUCLEAR THRONE, ROGUE LEGACY, ENTER THE GUNGEON, DEAD CELLS, SPELUNKY is why. If you don’t get what makes any one of them so awesome after playing a few runs, than stay away from anything labeled as Rogue-like/lite. It’s not your genre.
