Dr Dray Im a new subscriber a few weeks ago... I have learned alot from you. I have discovered Ive NOT been taking good care of my skin UNTIL I found you. Thank you.. God Bless you..
Dr. Drey, I have had the BEST luck with the Procure Rosacure!!! Now I am looking for another product that is a bit more thick. Once I find that, I will have 2 Holy Grails. Thank you more than you know. I am 61 with rosacea since high school. It's been a rough road.
I use the Cetaphil tinted moisture. I love it, it goes on smooth, light coverage for the day and its not heavy on my skin. The SPF 20 is not enough so I put it over a higher SPF moisture.
Got carried away & bought the Cetaphil foaming wash for redness + sensitive skin. Omg… it has fragrance, instant flush. 🤦♀️ I love their day/night moisturizers though.
Thanks for the video. In my country I can only get Bioderma and Cetaphil, but that's OK. Less is more. Maybe you could do a video about anti aging care for rosacea? What are the options?
Thank you for making this video, I suffer with hyperpigmentation and rosacea and it can be very difficult to deal with at times, if I have a flare up or am stressed out my redness really starts showing. I appreciate you and the information you are giving all of us 😊
im the type of person that my cheeks are always red but its not rosacea. im sure some of you relate, its cold-im red, its warm- im red. the thing that works super well for me is the ordinary niacinimide and zinc. as well as at night and during the day making sure my skin is heavily moisturized i use the cera ve hydrating cream, and then on top of that i put some vaseline! (I also am currently on accutane so some of you people who are acne prone might not want to follow this)
The only product that made a difference to my skin is Cosrx snail mucin essence. I use it right after washing my face on a still damp skin, then once it absorbs I put on Cerave lotion. I'm thinking about trying a Cosrx moisturizer, but I'm not in any rush.
Toni Huss Send him to a dermatologist, to get a proper assessment and treatment plan (that’s what Dr. Dray tends to answer, with questions like this 😉) As for skincare for acne generally....there are playlists on the channel main side, where you can find videos for all kinds of skin conditions, including (of course) acne. Or use the search function. ‚Dr. Dray + acne‘ will show you the pertinent videos. I‘m pretty sure, there are even ones specific to teenage acne.
I suffer from redness on my face, mainly in my cheeks and it’s so annoying when someone is all up in your face examining your skin Grrrr 😖 I wanna try that Nano Blurring cream, because the cetephil tinted sunscreen doesn’t camouflage all of the redness. It will still peep through on my cheeks. Great video and thank you for these recommendations! 👍
I do heal with erythema after acne, and nothing helps against it. Aside from not getting acne in the first place, and vascular laser. Or else, it lasts for years on my skin. Aside from that, my sunscreen do blur out some of the redness. So don't get discouraged if nothing seems to help.
I really like the bioderma sensibio AR. A lady working at Walgreens gave me an entire unopened bottle to try out which I thought was really nice. I think I will rebuy it when I run out. It’s hydrating and soothing for my very dry sensitive skin and even though it’s higher priced for a drug store brand it’s still cheaper than other things I’ve tried from Sephora.
Ugh I’m so frustrated with my rosacea! I tried the Procure rosacare for a few days and my whole face broke out into a horrible itchy rash. Then I tried the Prosacea gel, and a few days later once again had an itchy rash on my face. I don’t know what else to try and I’m tired of people looking at my red face and asking me why I look so mad. Lol
I’m so used to wash my face twice a day, don’t think I’m ready to change that routine. I can’t imagine applying a moisturizer, SPF on my face without washing it. But, I might try that. Thank you!!! 🙏🤘❤️
the green products always make a ashy look to my skin, so not a fan. But it may work for others. THANK YOU!- people are mean about redness! Why cant they just be quiet and kind. Love to all my fellow redness suffers xoxo
Hi Dr. Dray. Can you please talk about blue veins that run vertically on the cheeks? As I get older I feel like my face is looking more like a road map. 😳
hi, i'm not a derm or esth, but i love to learn, and being my own lab rat has had its ups and downs. dr d has probably addressed this in various sessions, but i have thin skin with visible blue and green veins on my body, and on my face, red spidery veins, that are frustrating. tinted spf's are my face go-to (cerave spf 50 tinted, clinique city block spf 40, and walgreens sensitive spf 50 to which i add some bare minerals faux tan powder), and only recently have i layered spf's the way i layer clothes in bi-polar houston. hormones, genetics, inflammatory foods, exposure to environmental things (including nail polish, nickel-based earrings and even hair pins) were part of my inner and outer clean-up changes. the mineral based screens that leave a little bit of a cast have helped me (i don't have rosacea, but red marks that turn brown from scratching a bite to picking a zit leave me po'd to the max), and some judicious sun protective clothing choices also help. i probably have invested in more spf's in the past 8 weeks than my whole life (thx dr d, really, no sarcasm) because my skin is drier now and thinner (i'm a youngish 65), and I don't like looking like a spotty prune. last june i began dr vincent pedre's happy gut program; i'm honest about it 80-85% of the time (meaning special occasions or 'i miss this texture/flavor "cheat", or eating out, or something someone wanted me to try, or i didn't read the ingredients make up the remainder), and my hormonal levels, focus, and skin seem to have improved with this protocol. how i know is when i DON"T do it on the higher disciplined end, everything quickly cascades downhill, from energy to depression, flow to constipation, alertness to fog, skin clarity to bruises and discolorations, etc. Yes I use Great Lakes hydrolized collagen internally, and celiac/gluten intolerance requiring due diligence to make wiser substitutions/choices, and sugar, the #1 aging factor, is my jones and affects everything else plus and minus. If i can do it, and still balance the outside, I'm good, but, it can be trial and error for a while ,and unexpected stressors called life make this buffet an occasional crap shoot, so i keep a small journal, and every day i jot down what what went in, what i put on, and over time, i see and feel incremental progress as i fine-tune what works and let go what doesn't.
I’m 20 and I have them on my cheeks, eye lids, and a big blue one under my left eye. Not to mention just alll over my body. I would really love to know more about that too
The cerave hydrating clenser was so terrible for me, it burned my skin like a chemical peel and i do not have sensitive skin i do not have alergies and this has never happend to me before so.. what happend?..
Sometimes that cleanser does to to me, sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve noticed that if my skin barrier is impaired in some way, then I get the stinging. I’m not sure if that’s actually the cause, though. Try the La Roche Posay Toleriane cream cleanser instead. It’s very similar but I’ve never heard of anyone getting stinging from it.
Same, made me red. I think it's the Niacinimice. I've tried both the cleanser, sunscreen and face cream, all containng Niacinimide and all made me red. Perhaps look into that. I also reacted to The Ordinary serum with Niacinimide so I stay away from that.
Hi Dr Dray! I've been using the Bioderma AR sunscreen for a while now, I like it a lot but it's very expensive and it only contains 30ml of product 😥😔, it costs just as much as other 50ml and even 90ml sunscreens. I wish these bioderma people weren't so stingy.
I live in a tropical country and i cant find any tinted sunscreens that arent loaded with fragrance. Would it be a bad idea to order online and have it shipped? Because the sunscreen would be sitting in the truck like chocolate in an oven?
Hi Dr. Dray, thanks for this help! What do you think about Paula's Choice Calm Line and REN's Sensitive line??? Are these good for redness from rosacea? I look like sunburned on my cheeks and nose
I was really disappointed to find the Procure has a fragrance. It must be due to the cucumber extract. It made me itchy. Fragrance is an irritant for many rosacea sufferers, so I don’t understand this addition.
This video and recommendations came at just the right time!!! My rosacea just flared up big time (in areas that I have never had it before). Went to derm, but going to check out some of these products too. Thank you so much. 😊
Dr Dray I have the same problem! When you have the time would you please address KP on the face specifically? I’m having a hard time finding a balance between exfoliating the KP while still being gentle to reduce inflammation and redness. Thank you! Your tips have saved my skin, my fiancé’s skin, and my wallet! I used to think petrolatum was bad and “natural” essential oils were good. Thank you for setting me straight! 😄❤️

So, I know you don’t like to recommend self tanners but I’d like to ask about LuxTan?? It’s a product that you “drop” into your lotion. I figure that way I can still use my Cerave after my shower. Have you heard of this product??
Happy Monday! I already use Cerave hydrating cleanser! I am currently trying Coppertone Pure & Simple 100% Zinc SPF 50 fragrance-free sunscreen. It's a little more shinny than Olay spf 30 fragance free but I like it. My pharmacy won't sell Olay sunscreen spf 30 anymore as they have had new products but I haven't seen any sunscreen. Here in Quebec City, I haven't seen any tinted sunscreen at affordable prices. I think Garnier makes one, but I don't know if it's fragrance-free. I'm sure there's some at Sephora, but the prices are much higher.
@@AndreaHa I paid $8.69 for it on special, but it's usually $10. There's not much difference. But in expensive products we have to pay $10 to $15 more in Canada. Have a good week!

I have redness on my cheeks, it looks like lots of pink/red spots under the skin. It looks worse after showering and washing my face. Any ideas what this is? My skin also is quite dry
Yes, people can say hurtful things. When I was pregnant my skin was so awful. I had really bad acne and very bright blotchy red skin all over my entire face. Thank you so much for all of your videos and your thought. I find I have a lot of anxiety in my daily life, and the amount of effort and disappointment you save me and others is more meaningful than you might know! Seriously, thank you so much. ♡
I do love the First Aid Beauty Cleanser.
Dr Dray Im a new subscriber a few weeks ago... I have learned alot from you. I have discovered Ive NOT been taking good care of my skin UNTIL I found you. Thank you.. God Bless you..
Kathie Hamerik thank you so much for watching 💙
What is that Cetaphil for redness? Is it the one named Pro Ar Calm Control? 🤗
Thanks for the video. In my country I can only get Bioderma and Cetaphil, but that's OK. Less is more. Maybe you could do a video about anti aging care for rosacea? What are the options?
Dealing with redness is an oil based cleanser I use Jose Moran oil cleanser its AMAZING
Thank you for making this video, I suffer with hyperpigmentation and rosacea and it can be very difficult to deal with at times, if I have a flare up or am stressed out my redness really starts showing. I appreciate you and the information you are giving all of us 😊
Elta MD Tinted Mineral Sunscreen moisturizer is amazing.
im the type of person that my cheeks are always red but its not rosacea. im sure some of you relate, its cold-im red, its warm- im red. the thing that works super well for me is the ordinary niacinimide and zinc. as well as at night and during the day making sure my skin is heavily moisturized i use the cera ve hydrating cream, and then on top of that i put some vaseline!
Dr. Dray, My Grandson has oily skin he is 15 years old and his face is really broken out. What is the best way to go? Thank you I enjoy your channel.
Toni Huss
Send him to a dermatologist, to get a proper assessment and treatment plan (that’s what Dr. Dray tends to answer, with questions like this 😉)
As for skincare for acne generally....there are playlists on the channel main side, where you can find videos for all kinds of skin conditions, including (of course) acne. Or use the search function. ‚Dr. Dray + acne‘ will show you the pertinent videos. I‘m pretty sure, there are even ones specific to teenage acne.
@@raraavis7782thanks so much I will do that.
Can Eucerine Redness Relief cream be used in place of a moisturizer? Would you recommend this product?
I do heal with erythema after acne, and nothing helps against it. Aside from not getting acne in the first place, and vascular laser. Or else, it lasts for years on my skin. Aside from that, my sunscreen do blur out some of the redness. So don't get discouraged if nothing seems to help.
Hi dr dray! Do you think too many products on the skin can weigh the skin down and sag it?
The million dollar question, "Why are people so rude?" Happy Monday and thanks as always.
TheEagleslover happy Monday 💙
I really like the bioderma sensibio AR. A lady working at Walgreens gave me an entire unopened bottle to try out which I thought was really nice. I think I will rebuy it when I run out. It’s hydrating and soothing for my very dry sensitive skin and even though it’s higher priced for a drug store brand it’s still cheaper than other things I’ve tried from Sephora.
Is it fragrance free?
@@mignonalverson655 Yes, its fragrance free 👍
Mignon Alverson yep!
@@tesst3 Is it a light, airy texture or is it more heavy and greasy? Thank you!
How about for oily sensitive skin ?
Ugh I’m so frustrated with my rosacea! I tried the Procure rosacare for a few days and my whole face broke out into a horrible itchy rash. Then I tried the Prosacea gel, and a few days later once again had an itchy rash on my face. I don’t know what else to try and I’m tired of people looking at my red face and asking me why I look so mad. Lol
Albolene to take off your sunscreen, vanicream cleanser then vanicream in the tub. I have SUPER SENSITIVE skin. These work for me.
I’m so used to wash my face twice a day, don’t think I’m ready to change that routine. I can’t imagine applying a moisturizer, SPF on my face without washing it. But, I might try that. Thank you!!! 🙏🤘❤️
You'll notice a difference in your moisture level once you go to once a day. I have dry, rosacea skin. I CAN'T wash more than once a day.
@@mignonalverson655 You do that in the morning or evening?
@@HazelEyedAndWild I do my routine at night. In the morning if I feel a bit more dry I just reapply moisturizer let it dry then my SPF.

the green products always make a ashy look to my skin, so not a fan. But it may work for others. THANK YOU!- people are mean about redness! Why cant they just be quiet and kind. Love to all my fellow redness suffers xoxo
i can only wash my face at night too, or i get more red. vanicream (cleanser) is a lifesizer though! 🖤
'it's like sprinkles, not the whole frosting..." i used bare minerals from the beginning but it's too dry for me now.

Hi dr. Dray, thanks for another great video
Hi Dr Dray, wondering if you could talk about CBD (cannabidiol) in skin care.
My rosacea thanks you!
Hi Dr.
You're not alone. I'm 44 and I have had this blue vein that you can't miss going down my entire left eyelid. I mean from eyebrow to lashes. 😂
Happy being Me ... im in my early 20s and I have those veins on my cheeks!!!
@@countryspice7338 You're still gorgeous!🤗
I’m 20 and I have them on my cheeks, eye lids, and a big blue one under my left eye. Not to mention just alll over my body. I would really love to know more about that too
Would these things also help with redness from lupus/other immune disorders?
The cerave hydrating clenser was so terrible for me, it burned my skin like a chemical peel and i do not have sensitive skin i do not have alergies and this has never happend to me before so.. what happend?..
Same
I had the same thing happen then I read somewhere to put in on dry skin, massage it around then rinse off. No stinging for me doing it that way.
I tried but i cant make it work for me and now i have the whole 470 ml gigant tub just sitting in my bathroom:))
Is this also helpful for hyperpigmentation and discoloration?
I live in a tropical country and i cant find any tinted sunscreens that arent loaded with fragrance. Would it be a bad idea to order online and have it shipped? Because the sunscreen would be sitting in the truck like chocolate in an oven?
How long, would you say, for a new product show to effectiveness on the skin?
what about if you put some treatment at night, should you still wash your face once a day?
Great question!
Hi Dr. Dray, thanks for this help! What do you think about Paula's Choice Calm Line and REN's Sensitive line??? Are these good for redness from rosacea? I look like sunburned on my cheeks and nose
What is a BB or CC sunscreen? Thank you.
I was really disappointed to find the Procure has a fragrance. It must be due to the cucumber extract. It made me itchy. Fragrance is an irritant for many rosacea sufferers, so I don’t understand this addition.
Oof. The redness of my face. Rosacea, I hate you. I need this video. Thank you. 💜
Can tretinoin be washed off with just water in the morning? Also can you suggest a chemical sunscreen for redness from perioral dermatitis?
Do you know of any good oil free sunscreens?
I use Elta MD Elements. There is a ton of oil free sunscreens available.
@@mignonalverson655 okay great!thx

Youthlab has a great tinted sunscreen CC cream for medium (golden) skin tones. It's from Greece but you can get it in the US.
Dr. Dray.. will this help for redness on the decollette?
Will the derma e powder protect against blue light as well?
I love your videos and tried many of the products but nothing seems to work for me. Do you happen to recommend anything for dermatitis?
Oh, I needed this. Thank you. Have you used ivermectin cream? Using it instead of Metro gel. Haven’t seen much difference. Thank you

KP is frustrating
Dr Dray I have the same problem! When you have the time would you please address KP on the face specifically? I’m having a hard time finding a balance between exfoliating the KP while still being gentle to reduce inflammation and redness. Thank you! Your tips have saved my skin, my fiancé’s skin, and my wallet! I used to think petrolatum was bad and “natural” essential oils were good. Thank you for setting me straight! 😄❤️

Hi. Rosacea here. I find straight vitamin C very irritating. My sunscreen had it in there but I do just fine when it has other ingredients. I haven't tried differin but I want to. There's a strategic method of using it to help prevent the side affects.

So, I know you don’t like to recommend self tanners but I’d like to ask about LuxTan?? It’s a product that you “drop” into your lotion. I figure that way I can still use my Cerave after my shower. Have you heard of this product??
Hi dr. Dray,
Is there a reason why you no longer recommend EltaMD mineral sunscreen?
I use the Coppertone Pure and Simple as well! it's only $6 in the U.S. !!!
👍👍
@@AndreaHa I paid $8.69 for it on special, but it's usually $10. There's not much difference. But in expensive products we have to pay $10 to $15 more in Canada. Have a good week!
Danièle Gagnon try Yves Rocher tinted sunscreen when they have a sale. I like it a lot. I put it on top of the coppertone pure and simple. Now this one is a keeper!
@@armstronglien2659 Thanks for the info! But he's not fragrance free. And, I didn't find it on the Quebec site! There is a mineral sunscreen but it's not tinted. Have a nice end of day!
I have been dealing with rosacea for a year and nothing works. I’m going to try these products. Can you please recommend foundation products? Thanks!!
Best mineral tinted sunscreen I’ve tried is Peter Thomas Roth spf 45.
Wouod you say that it's okay for lighter skin tones? Is it orange in your opinion?
Tammy Baxter, I have very fair skin that’s dry & sensitive. The PTR sunscreen is the ONLY tint I’ve found that’s not orange, nor drying (like Elta md ones) and has a high percentage of zinc. It looks gorgeous on! Not shiny, not too matte, more of a satin finish & very lightweight.

Hey, what about the vanicream face wash? I personally find that the cerave hydrating cleanser doesn't wash my oily skin that well :/
13:00 “why are you so rude”. Daily question in life.
Yes, people can say hurtful things. When I was pregnant my skin was so awful. I had really bad acne and very bright blotchy red skin all over my entire face. People seem to think it's ok to say anything to a pregnant woman, and I got many comments like, "Wow, your face looks awful. My face was glowing during my pregnancy." I honestly wonder if people even listen to themselves talk.
Thanks for the great information and I really like your head band. It's very pretty!
