คริสเตียน ดั๊กฮิโอ เกิดที่เมืองการ์ปี ประเทศอิตาลี เมื่อวันที่ 4 เมษายน ค.ศ. 1969 (พ.ศ.2512) อายุ 49 ปี สถิติการชกมวยสากลอาชีพ ชนะ 10 ครั้ง (น็อกเอ้าท์และทีเคโอ 10 ครั้ง) แพ้ 1 ครั้ง

Y'all stop being bias, both fighters were warriors and both are going for a knockout round 12 to win, accident happened within Boxing culture sometimes, so stop blaming anyone, it's obvious that the other fighter was more aggressive than the one from round 1-12, just happened they both wanted to win and gave it all in the last round✌️

Christian reagiva , normalmente , l arbitro non ha sbagliato, sicuramente è stato un combattente straordinario, in Italia dopo i 40 anni è difficile combattere....lui ne aveva 49, e purtroppo a quell' età l' assorbimento di certi colpi è letale. Pace all' anima sua .

So sad. RIP Christian. He taked too much hard strikes in this fight.
Is it me or did his eyes roll back and his eyes were out of it when he got back up? He was already concussed. These fighters get back up based on muscle memory/instinct and doing it repetitively for many years. It's the job of the referee to spot these signs and protect the fighter from further harm.

What weight class is this and is it boxing or kick boxing? I'm 5 minutes in and the older guy is at least 1/3 again the size of the other guy and they don't look like heavyweights to me where size differentials can be huge.
Nah theyre in the same weight class. Dude just wasn't really a good boxer to begin with, and I say that with all due respect..plus he was in his late 40's

If the referee was paying attention, he could have stopped it a few punches earlier.. there was no need to throw the last 2-3 punches. He was already going down!

No. Not like this was a bad ref or something. This is the sport. Every fight that gets knocked cold has a risk of not coming back.
Rubbish, the damage was done long before the final punches taken. These guys are not boxers, they are slugging specialists, there is no head movement and therefor every single punch if not directly absorbed is absorbed to the head through the gloves. Anyone who fights like this will end their dats with mental issues. You can jot rattle the brain around like that without serious consequence. Sad shame but inevitable unfortunately.

C'erano già da diversi minuti le condizioni x fermare il match. Ma un angolo incompetente e un arbitro incompetente hanno favorito questa tragedia. È una storia molto triste questa. Aggiungo: come hanno fatto il wbc e gli organi competenti a dare il nulla osta x un titolo su 12 round ad un uomo di 49 anni in evidenti pessime condizioni che non aveva mai fatto un incontro serio di boxe? Vergognatevi tutti maledetti.

considering Christian Daghio had over 200 professional fights and was 49 years old during this fight, I'm sure he probably had CTE. And if a person were to continue to take blows when they have this there is a high chance of death. Which seems to what happened here.
