I am a born and raised Memphian. The very moment the announcement was made that the Grizzlies would be relocating to Memphis was the exact day that l became a Grizzlies fan.
I have the Grizzlies doing a move involving financial flexibility to keep below the salary tax. Like you mentioned with 3J’s contract descending. His contract will be set to expire next season. A key note is Santi Aldama’s contract. I think he’s up for a pay day this offseason. How much will be spent on him is unknown. We will have to find out. I see the likes of Jake LaRavia, John Konchar, Brandon Clarke, and Marcus Smart be use in trade packages this week. Another center would help. Potentially Clint Capela, another 3&D player, or another shooter could help.
BC is a great flex player for us at the 4-5 and I think that's valuable for the Grizz. Unless we get another 4-5 in the trade, I doubt we ship him. Smart has the contract and experience that teams want to take a shot on. Laravia, I was ok with when he got drafted bc I thought it was a down-the-road he'd get better pick. His first few years, I had given up, but he has proven himself a better Konchar this year. All that being said, I think the Grizz should stand still with their current 11... maybe getting Konchar, Smart, and a pick out of here for a young SG to coach up as they have done so well. But, I honestly feel like the team has such good chemistry that we might want to keep that this year and IF we fail to win the title, then make moves.
@ I do agree that Clarke has proven his worth as a Grizzly during his tenure. He’s been reliable whenever his number was called. I can’t say for sure the Grizzlies will keep him or not. I’m thinking about the upcoming contracts like 3J and Santi in the near future as well as financial responsibility the team has to maintain. The Grizzlies have continued to to a great job staying under the tax for quite some time. I’m sure they will do what is necessary to keep it up. The new CBA rules is making GMs think twice about splurging money on free agents along with cutting salaries off the books. Which is a good thing to maintain financial health. Yes. Jake has played better this season in comparison to his last two seasons as a Grizzly. Sometimes, it takes having not being extended to light a fire under your ass to play with a sense of urgency. I hope he does maintain his consistency regardless. That said, I still think he’s a trade candidate for the Grizzlies. I’m with you with Smart’s value as a player and in trade value. He will be beneficial somewhere else. Konchar will definitely be about edging off some cap space. Probably a expiring contract and a second round pick or two will be the outcome. As for the chemistry of the Grizzlies, I do agree this has to been the best chemistry I’ve witnessed with this franchise since the former Grit-N-Grind Days. Teams need that strong chemistry on both ends and in the locker room for the morale to stay strong and consistent so it can bring the winning results necessary to become a contender for the championship.
I was raised in Memphis. I have been a fan since the 2001 season. I got to see MJ in his final season, kobe, shaq, iverson, etc that year in the pyramid and I fell in love with the team. I will always love my grizz even when we are not doing so well. We GNG together.
Grizz fan since they came to Memphis. Cam for the 2 players and 4 picks is something I don’t think we would go for. Reportedly Nets wants Wells or GG, an unprotected 1st and a protected 1st.
Mark Jacksn said it. there are teams that are trying t win and there are teams that trying t make it lok like they're trying t win. It'a a big diffeence but for a long we've been the latter. It wuld be nice to see them go for it. It desn''t necesarily take a salry bump but we have t agree the Marcus Smart experiment never got ff the ground. And Kennard is ot ing to be signed lng term, s as gd as h's playing he got tgo also.
I moved to Memphis a month before the Grizzlies move to Memphis was announced and while I watched NBA basketball, I never called myself a fan of any before that happened. I was going through a divorce, my family had moved to Memphis the year before, so I was fully embracing the change of scenery by becoming a Memphis Grizzlies fan literally from the day it was announced. Memphis only makes trades they think benefit them so like the Nets trade I think is incredibly unlikely because they value draft picks. If the right deal comes along sure they will pull the trigger, but there is a reason they make more trades the week of the draft then they do the rest of the year……
Been a grizzlies fan since the team came here. I love our team as is, even Konchar and LaRavia have grown on me 😂 the only player I would be okay trading is Smart. Nothing personal against him but I don’t think he really wants to be in Memphis. I hope Ja retires a Grizzly!!
I hope the clippers make a bigger move. We have been linked to fox but I dont think we have the assets to get it done. Pissed to see Luka in a lakers jersey cooking us.
@@venkatamangamuri7679 My bad. For the Clippers, I don’t see them making a bigger move to counteract what the Lakers did to acquire Luka. The move they did is for post LeBron era when he retires.

Been a fan since the grit n grind era were as a 8th seed they knocked out number 1 spurs team in playoffs , I don't believe they will do much at trade deadline based on past and it's frustrating, would like to see a trade for smart n laravia🎉
As crazy as this sounds. I would trade Ja for Trae Young. Trae would fit the chemistry and still make clutch shots and get everyone evolved beside the drama Ja brings at time.
@ If I’m not mistaken, that pick was the result from the Vancouver Grizzlies trade involving Otis Thorpe over two decades ago. Sometimes the decisions we make have a lot of impact on the consequences.

Me too. Born and raised a Memphian, and I became a Grizz fan as soon as they came to Memphis.
Day 1 Grizz supporter. I remember the Michael Dickerson Grizzlies.
I have been a Memphis grizzlies fan before I was born 😂
Cam is cool but I really want Deandre Hunter. I think they should target someone in that 20-30 mil range. Dangle Santi possibly.
Yessir the Memphis Grizzlies turn as a fan of the team I can't wait to see what Sheldon has in store
Nice breakdown, 20+ year fan
I’ve been a grizzlies fan since the team came to Memphis! Iove the grizzlies
I watched Sheldon emergency live last night that's the saddest I've ever seen him in my 4 years watching
I believe he's from Dallas
@@rolandmiller5456 I’m aware he’s a Mavericks fan. Can’t speak on the fact he’s from the area.

The grizzlies is top 5 in the west rn we not doing bad
@ItzWuuuu nobody said they were. Reading is fundamental.
I’ve been a Grizzlies for around 10 years
Been a ticket holder since day 1. They are so much fun
Why’s Demar derozen in the graphic if it’s for cam Johnson?

LESSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
KD TO MEMPHIS
Started watching and supporting the grizzlies the day they picked up Ja. I’ve been following ja since college days so I wanted to see his journey
Memphian my entire life, since 2001 the first season
And with GG Jackson, the don't need to keep LaRavia anymore.

😅please let’s keep this team together for this season.they have worked so hard.
Can’t we gotta trade atleast one person we got to many ppl unless we send one to the g league
Jake laravias team option was declined earlier this year

JJJ getting a bag this summer
Why spend when you win.
They do not need any trade

How about Grizzles move Marcus Smart to the Rockets for Tate and Jeff Green plus a 2nd rd pick .. reunite Smart with his old coach.
😂
I think the Grizzlies have contributed enough toughness to Houston.
No to Jeff Green. The first episode of him was stale the first time around.
Trade morant

Memphis should try get Lebron - they have the tradeable salaries for it.
No sir. Even if it’s him. Stay young and consistent.
