I did not pull down hard on the handle right away so I think that’s my issue? Right? Also can you do this trick without doing the back lip thing? Or is it necessary to have somewhere for the board to put the momentum?
I guess....I have the same issue, but I suspect it's really a matter of strength, and also raley-style. I tend to do my raley edging really hard and the scoop is then just getting pulled by the cable while maintaining the edge, so you do not slide....But you can also go high not doing a super hard cut but using a more ollie-like scoop. Now when I manage a great raley, it's a combination: edging hard and an ollie scoop (you really feel the board bending under your feet - and landing become difficult because it goes much much higher) . I think I need to work my ollies, and progressively cut less and scoop better....Because with the best cut I can do, I definitely not have the strengh for bending my arms and even less in the abs to keep my legs from drifting back.
