Queen asked him VERY early on, before this even came out, to be their new singer, but he said no because he wanted to be his own artist. First time I ever heard him, it was, like, three in the morning and I couldn't sleep, and I'm like, "Is that Freddie Mercury...? No, that voice is too young," and I was right, given that he was only 23 when he did this. He's actually REALLY intelligent: knows all these different languages and stuff. The weird thing is, eh, they white-wash him in these videos. He's half Lebanese, and I've seen him live, and he's darker-skinned in person. I don't know why that's still so common in the industry.
Thanks for reacting to this video...I absolutely love this song...made me cry the first 5-10 times I heard it...the words are from the heart and teach people to respect others by being considerate of others' feelings...it's kind of an anthem for people who are insecure to stick up for themselves to just be themselves as they don't need other's opinions to validate who they are. you are right, but Mika speaks English. he makes several/many mistakes in French, Spanish, Italian and the other languages (I think Arabic and Mandarin). The language he speaks fluently is English, although he was born in Lebanon and raised in Paris.

He's not a one hit wonder :) He has five albums out that are all great and touring all around the world although he is most famous in italy and france now.
