I have the exact same set of crafting knifes, only in a blue box, and approximately 30 years old. And it does not close properly either! Nice to see that they have not improved the design at all xD

Some long time modeler tips.
Elmer's school glue dries clear and costs less. Then you can use a brush or your fingers to spread it thin. It washes up with water. It's the best way to put on wind screens for cars and aircraft without crazing the plastic.
Maybe you can return the glue and save a little bit of cash.
Cheap hobby knife kits are horrible. That plastic collet will never hold like an aluminium one.
For safety I use a mini utility knife with a 30 degree blade tip since you can retract the blade. I'm on blood thinners so it pays to be careful. The last small cut I had bleed for an hour or so.
Just in case a model shop will have thin sheets of clear plastic that you can buy if needed.

You said all the things I was frustrated with. I really liked the flat layout of pieces. For the wooden bits. They helped make sure you picked the right piece. The part that drove me nuts is the plastic greenhouse has a cling film which you had to remove prior???? Counted this company have said something. I still loved it but I’m embarrassed to say it took me a year on and off to build it.
I'm amazed that you've found something more complicated than warhammer. I thought that it couldn't be done, I stand corrected.
Thanks for this! It made me remember crafting dioramas as a kid, making mini furniture with common household items. I think I'll try revisiting that hobby now as an adult.

Just come across this part 1 of the greenhouse build which I see in the list of your videos you were so engrossed and excited by making that 4 years have now elapsed and still no sign of part 2. I have been looking at the box of bits of the same greenhouse for six months and your attempt at making it has not made it any easier for me to make a start.
