I only liked darkest knight and mk1 shang sung from all the newest kards. I don't know why they can't just make kards like mk11 scorpion, with simple passives and great basic attacks.

Replicating mk11 scorpion who is by far the best card in the game is kinda difficult but I agree more effort could absolutely be put into some of the cards

Imagine a hyped character whose abilities are performed better by literal gold characters and everything in his passive is done better by any other character, he's literally useless

Mk 1 Kenshi, Shang Tsung and Darkest Kinght Noob Saibot are probably the only good characters we got recently
Mk 1 smoke is honeslty nothing special but he's better than Spawn day 1 release
MK1 mileena has the smoothest basic attacks, combo enders and chaining out of all new characters. Quietly has stun and snare on tarkat form. Underated
Kenshi tbh...her sp1 is clunky at the end and she loses plus frames, I like her though
MK1 Mileena is SO flashy with cool specials, combos and a cool passive. VERY fun and pretty good imo.
Tbh with the late insane characters that have some op abilities like onslaught sub-zero or darkest knight noob, in comparison MK1 smoke is extremely underwhelming
I kinda disagree. Maxed him out yesterday. He is one of the top damage dealers out there. My favourite MK1 character so far (I have every one of them maxed out except Mileena).
There are already 5 MK1s and they are turning out to be very meeeh compared to the MK11s. I hope that the next ones are really important in the game and not just for collection or to use them to change characters a bit.

Scorpion is actually great. I just do not like MK1 Mileena and Shang.

Ive maxed Smoke yesterday, and I completely disagree with such an opinion. First of all he has basically high attack stats. Which makes his SP2 aswell as SP1 one of the most powerfull SPs in game among all other characters. I tested him in battle 200of cold tower without any cold tower equipment and he did it solo. Not every fighter can do this with the same eqipment, you know that. Second what I want to mention is his Ninjutsu style. If you play him in a long fights, you can make this guy unstoppable and uninterruptable. You can spam comboenders during Ninjutsu. Of course in normal style you have to avoid them. Third things third is his synergy with every other fighter in game. Activating Ninjutsu gives every other character(not only MK1) Sneak Attack, which also works agains Jade MK11 avoidance, what is awesome!
PS the only minus what I see in Smoke is that his control abilities are pretty weak, so he needs someone to make at least one trap during a match.

I haven't had it yet, but it looks like a lot of fun.
I disagree he just needs a brutality or friendship...He feels like he is missing something when i fight with Mk1 team with their gear
I have to disagree ont his one. I think now people are expecting OP character that will impact balance in the game. Smoke's basic attack is probably top 5 in my own personal opinion. Quick and easy to manipulate. Smoke was designed as a Ninja assasin and not like Subzero who is annoying to play.
Very delightful character.
To me the best new characters are
1-noob saibot darkest knight
2-spawn
3-mk1 kenshi

I said this many time and i’ll say it again. The devs need to make a channel in their server where they take people ideas and opinion on making new characters designs and making polls to make better characters. I’ve been having an argument with a mod about the recent mk1 characters and its like talking to a wall

Only recent review I agree with he needs buffed mk1 scorpion needs buffed n I still want mk1 Rain n subzero n they should all have synergy like mk11 characters

Honestly, I feel like if they want to make his passive more impactful, they could have the ninjutsu combo enders give crit chance AND block breaker, and then after maybe 3-5, he’d gain a crit damage boost. I agree with you with the whole “his passive will only work against bosses, but even then isn’t anything crazy” kinda take. Still, I will say that at the end of the day, I’m glad that not every new character that comes out is game breakingly strong, y’know?
I love your videos, but for once i desagree, i maxed it out 2 days ago and i love him he is a great character with kenshi and milena (i've got every character max)
I wish they would redesign some of these characters like smoke , spawn , goro etc to make them at least somewhat good

I guess they designed his passive such a way that it's very Rare-Chance to achieve such Stacks.
His passive reminds me of Kitana's Epic piece (Forgot name) where it was similar logic, complete stack-up to almost 15 times(Which was almost Impossible) and opponent gains some kind of additional dmg.
I also wonder if "Widow-Maker" Rare gear would make any difference, that piece is also interesting one.

Most characters are doing the same moves again and again and sometimes it feels a little boring. Mk1 characters are more fun to play I think. Smoke is looking good. Their attacks and hits are so varied. I hope more Mk1 character and places come to the game in the future.

I quite remember when the first Mk11 characters were introduced in mk mobile.
It was such a big deal.
Some were seriously overpowered.
These new Mk1 characters don't really make the same impact.
I really like playing:
Mk1 kenshi
Mk1 Shang Tsung
Mk1 Scorpion
Because they are very effective
The rest are kinda average imo
Mk1 scorpion..bad
The subzero one it’s the one that should be the diamond
The MK1 smoke fails misrabely at "Feel and enjoyability" part. I dont know why but I got headache after playing him as a fighter for 10 mins.😢😮
I got mk1 smoke from krypt today but he's nothing spectacular in fusion 0 as mand said.
HI MAND! I just watched your MK1 Mileena vid. THANKS for pointing out that she can tag out after activating her passive and then tag back in to apply Primal Fear! I like to apply PF to opponents on THEIR tag-in after KO’ing the previous opponent. VERY strategic options for her about when to apply her passive! With her AWESOME-looking sp2, she can cripple, and I ALSO give her Noble Graceful Tread for extra snare chance. She does great damage too. DANGEROUS character! 😵😱🤣

His moves are not good, passive not good, can't chain combos, can't deal huge damage. I think Onslaught Jax is better than him in recent times 😅

I mean as a hoarder i like gathering everything even if they belong in my trash pile lol, someday somehow they'll be useful for something like a krypt or faction wars multiplier or if i want more sneak attack but yeah he needs some buffs.

💯 🎯!!! He seems kinda weak and his attacks are a bit dull. MK1 Mileena is SO fun with cool combos and attacks and a cool passive, and I’m not even a big Mileena fan 😂
Last good character released was mk11 liu kang and decent mk1 shang and kenshi
All MK1 Kharacters fell like that to me. The lack of weight in their movements. Like they motion captured very unfit people to do the,¿m.

MK1 Smoke has boring attacks imo. K Smoke has a double-teleport punch. MK1 Mileena’s sp2 is also her grab basic throw from console MK1 BUT she ends it with her awesome teleport kick! Her specials, combos and passive all look cool. She is FLASHY. I can’t wait for O Sub next! Probably LAST week of Jan in the Krypt shop 😝 And his DK pack one week before that.

I don’t dislike MK1 Smoke i have just seen so many times before that a new card comes out and TH-cam content creators will say or she his bad then turns out to be a great card example KMR and KMJ both were extremely underrated and both are great fighters KMS on the other hand is trash.Ive seen these videos change once they know exactly how to get the best out of them so this isn’t aimed at Mand in particular just in general personally i think MK1 Mileena bad and tbh the whole MK1 team isn’t great it’s still Klassic then MK11 then the rest fall in any order people feel.😊

I have it at maxed fusion and for me it's good. I tested it in krypt and tower and it's very good. He needs a brutality set to be a complete character
TL;DR He's not designed to be a sp1 spammer as you assumed he's designed to be a combo ender spammer, which is a first, only the people who haven't figured that out call him trash.
You had a decent setup idea but not the best. Use nomad's deadly vapor instead of director makeover for combo ender team damage, use art of tsunami, apply curse/shield break then tag him in and cast smoke bomb right away since the timer goes down even when he's tagged-out, you will deal 250k+ team damage (per combo ender) which will scale ofc in tower with tower gear . I agree that without gear he's not that amazing but rating mkm characters in 2024/25 while ignoring the way they are meant to be played is obsolete.
I am pretty sure that certain great set ups exist for this character. But this won't make me change my mind for him. As I said multiple times a truly good character will shine with whatever gear. And he doesn't do that. Sadly

I played with him last week and literally came to the same conclusion. He feels off. From his passive, to specials and basic attacks; he is simply tra$h. There is absolutely no case scenario where you would say "yes, MK1 Smoke will be good for this match".... Considering how game changing klassic smoke was, MK1 Smoke is a colossal pile of rubbi$h.
Try mk1 smoke w/ Muramasa blades, Tanuki, nomad deadly vapor and Nomads buzzsaw

I got him from krypt today but he's nothing spectacular on fusion 0 as mand said if you've insane gear you can make him good.
@spc3461 which can be said to s lot of characters thst become decent with good gears, but the fact remains that he is underwhelming. For me it's gears and krypt junk this week sadly.

If you want to kill boss with basic attack and combo ender we have klassic movie raiden. Problem is mk 1 smoke has nothing which can stand out. Even for special one power drain spam gold card lizard baraka is better
You can kill any boss in the game even with beonze character. You need to invest in equipment rather than in heroes
