How could anyone dislike this young man or have the nerve to criticize him. The fact that he’s a cowboy competing in a sport with athletes and still kickin their asses is amazing. I heard him say in an interview that most thought other guys don’t even know how to ride a horse let alone rope and cowboy! He’s the embodiment of old school cowboy American rodeo star, smoking, wranglers, rancher, all around cowboy, with that little grin and a “well will see” attitude!

JB I know it goes against the grain but do you think if you went home, got your medical issues taken care of, and let your body totally heal it might be a good thing to help you make it 15 or 16 even 17 years at the top...and your boy could see you on those bulls.

JB Mauney (North Carolina) looks and talks like a young Jimmy Dean (Virginia). I've never heard JB sing a song and I never saw JD ride a bull. JD made sausage with the grinders. JB rides the grinders. Both men are American legends. Wishing JB health and success in the years to come. No matter how many titles he wins he is one of the GREATEST bullriders ever.

I was raised a country boy and never been on bulls but messed with a lotta cattle over the youth of my life, and Loove watching Bull riding!! Love his "All Heart" Cowboy spirit, attitude, outlook and Country honesty and confidence!! A man who truly Loves what he does and WORKED HARD IT BEING THE BEST!!! He is without a doubt a BadAss...one of the best if not THE best to ever do it!! The fact that he always to ride the Rankest bulls and did what he did over his career is what, in my mind, puts him above the rest. Every time he got on a bull, you just knew something AWESOME was about to happen. I'd Love to see him ride forever but know that's not possible. Wish him all the best in his life and endeavors!! Oh, and even though he's already been here a While, welcome to Texas my Fellow Texan!!!

He rode Bushwacker, Asteroid, Bruiser, Pearl Harbor, Cochise, Stone Sober, Long John, Midnight Bender, Shepherd Hills Tested, and so many others. He went up against many of the rankest bulls in the history of the sport and managed to ride so many of them! I think Mick E Mouse and Air Time are the only ones that got away.
