The way that June looked at Johnathan when they were putting the harness thing on Eugene has me dead. It was also adorable when Poppy leaned her body against Nick as he was trying to buckle her in!
I feel like Eugene’s actually really paternal he just doesn’t know what to do. Because at the end when he left the room and was racing to check on the babies that was a paternal thing. I think if he gets kids of his own he would do great because you can tell now that he’s trying and with some research he would be great.
I think it’s fair to say that if you’ve never been around babies and you have to take care of one for the first time, you don’t really know what to do. Like, you probably know that you need to support the head for a newborn and not to let them put small things in their mouth but that’s about it. There’s a learning curve for sure, and then by the time you get used to it the baby got older and you have to learn a bunch of new stuff again.
I dont think he gets enough credit. He did alot of things right, like not letting there legs get stuck, that was a very paternal instinct. Granted hes not educated, that's all it take to be a good parent is to be educated, but theres also things you cant predict. I think he was ok, thankfully there was the producers and helpful people there as well.
Sarah Shannon I think the biggest problem he has is that the second they start crying he goes into panic mode lol. It’s ok to let them cry for a few seconds while you figure out what they need! Crying will not hurt them lol
Eugene: says he isn’t paternal Also Eugene: runs to baby monitor after putting the babies to bed Gets worried that the babies are gonna get hurt by their cribs Rocks them to sleep
From some of the comments I've seen, apparently people who don't like babies often are some of the best parents, which makes me wonder if it isn't that they dislike babies necessarily, but are hyper-aware of the massive responsibility that comes with raising one.
Eugene did better with two than with just one. He's rocking one, then looks at the crib and rocks two. No matter what he says, he has paternal instincts.
Poppy and June are proper little people now. I know he has like ten million projects but would love to see Eugene do this again with them with them now.
@Molly McConnell arguably, babies are worse. Teenagers can be told to shut up or you can walk away from them (although they're not always that bad) but if you do that with babies (especially your own, or your family's) that gets you some bad rep. If it's your own, that can get you in jail
@Molly McConnell I think I'd find babies worse too, bc while they are precious and cute, you just don't get a break. Also kids are fine as long as they are not your responsibility 🙈🙈 or at least you get to give them back.
Regular people trying to get kids attention: Talks to them in a high pitch voice Eugene when he tries to get kids attention: Talks to them in a deeeeeppppp voice
Some babies respond to deeper voices! I've heard of moms who have dads to baby bedtime because baby is soothed by dad's deeper voice. Even when they're tiny, kids have their quirks! I wonder of Eugene sounds a little like their dad, because they seemed quite attentive when he was talking to them.
LEB that’s my baby with my fiancé. She calms down with my voice but my fiancé’s is so deep it’ll put her to sleep! She loves listening to both of us talk, but she really likes deep male voices.
Lol yeah. I mean our dad would put us on his chest while he hummed/tried to sing because it's deep and vibrating and that's nice and would get us to sleep, but the growling batman voice isn't quite the same thing 🤣
“ Don’t hit her in the face j- UGH did you just hit her in the face ( baby starts crying ) I just told you not to hit her , I’m sorry she did that to you . “ that killed me 😂
" Don't hit her in the face June. " * June just throws that thing in Poppy's face* " Why would you do that, I literally just told you not to do that. " Eugene acting like the babies can understand what he's saying is the best
It’s good to talk to a baby even if they don’t understand it, because the baby will feel the attention and care. Plus, that helps with developing the language faster.😊
I think the thing to remember is that, as upsetting as it is to hear a baby crying, they're not usually in pain or anything. They're just uncomfortable, but can't communicate in any other way. So if you keep in mind that crying =/= crisis, and take your time to tend to their needs, you'll be alright.
You know what? Yes. This. We evolved to respond like LIGHTNING to the cry of an infant, but it's rarely as dire as the adrenaline rush and crankiness would lead us to believe. Like with any animal (since Eugene has rescue dogs), the key is to remaining quiet, slow, calm, and patient. If you have a nervous energy, they will feel it.
My sister has 5 kids. Pretty early on I got used to the different types of crying. Even without words it's amazing at what they can communicate if you know how to listen.
from my experience with babies, my first instinct is to start singing/humming, if they calm down, great, maybe they were bored or didn’t feel like they got attention or were lonely! If they don’t, the next step is holding them, most babies will stop crying when you hold them the right way (the way they like to be held) UNLESS they’re hungry, have a full diaper or are toothing (most likely)
He should definitely redo this now that they are older... once twins start walking and run in two different directions it's a whole different experience
I love that Eugene immediately runs to the baby monitor and just watches it. He is so concerned and nervous for the babies to be alone. I remember babysitting my baby cousin for 14 hours. The entire time she was asleep I would be walking up the stairs every few minutes because I was so nervous for her to be alone.
I think he is that friend that offers to watch your kids by getting some ice-cream and when you get them back he decided to go the MacDonalds and the toystore as well :P
So let's get this straight. Eugene had to take care of 1 baby for 5 hours last time. And now he has to look after 2 babies for 8 hours. Yeah ok. Everything is definitely fair and balanced.
@@Priyankapradyumna Basically, some common personality traits are associated with each house. @@felix-hm9jn They're just on their phones, you never even see their faces. That's how it is with my grandchildren. I don't even know them anymore!
Young teenagers do everything by themselves on this days,it isn't funny.
eugene adores kids at this point
I mean, we're getting there!
@@tryguys beanos hopes eugene adopts him
The Try Guys It’s his second redemption arc, we’ll get there
Lol so true
The Try Guys hi
The way that June looked at Johnathan when they were putting the harness thing on Eugene has me dead. It was also adorable when Poppy leaned her body against Nick as he was trying to buckle her in!
I feel like Eugene’s actually really paternal he just doesn’t know what to do. Because at the end when he left the room and was racing to check on the babies that was a paternal thing. I think if he gets kids of his own he would do great because you can tell now that he’s trying and with some research he would be great.
He does have certain weird instincts or basic knowledge, but luckily there are enough people to ask so I don't think it's too much of a problem.
This is the purest video of Eugene EVER (every video where Eugene babysits babies)
Right like yeah he isn't super knowledgeable but hell parents aren't when they first start out. He did great!
Sarah Shannon same name
Sarah Shannon I think the biggest problem he has is that the second they start crying he goes into panic mode lol. It’s ok to let them cry for a few seconds while you figure out what they need! Crying will not hurt them lol
yeah he did okay for someone who hasn’t worked or taken care of children!! maybe they could have left a note with some general tips next time!
Eugene: says he isn’t paternal
Also Eugene: runs to baby monitor after putting the babies to bed
Gets worried that the babies are gonna get hurt by their cribs
Rocks them to sleep
It's what he has to do, he's babysitting x) , he doesn't want them to get hurt, it's someone else child.
he's a good/loyal person who cares deeply but he doesn't have to be paternal to do his job well.
Eugene may not see himself as a parental figure. But he truly cares about his employees and his friends kids a lot and genuinely cares about them.
From some of the comments I've seen, apparently people who don't like babies often are some of the best parents, which makes me wonder if it isn't that they dislike babies necessarily, but are hyper-aware of the massive responsibility that comes with raising one.
As someone who loves children, but does not want any of my own, yes. That is exactly why.
Yes. That's totally me
i dont like kids and cant handle them because AHHHHHHHHHHHH
It's easier for me to say I don't like kids, rather than explain how I'm a socially anxious person who knows nothing about interacting with children
Yes, kinda.
I ADORE babies but definitely don't ever want one. Have said this since I was 12, I'm now 26. Not gonna change my mind.
Eugene did better with two than with just one. He's rocking one, then looks at the crib and rocks two. No matter what he says, he has paternal instincts.
Poppy and June are proper little people now. I know he has like ten million projects but would love to see Eugene do this again with them with them now.
june: looks at jonathan intensely while he fixes the baby carrier
me: same june same
I was hoping someone noticed that😂
I love how he even gives her a little "HI"
Lmaoo 💀
yeah pretty sure a lot of ovaries exploded when jonathan smiled at her
The fact that he sort them into Harry Potter groups means he doesn’t *hate* them...I think
Oh definitely
He just won't admit that he actually likes children 🤫😂🤣
@@itsme1529 to be fair those aren't children, they're babies. Those are like the worst version of non-adults
I’m amazed the babies weren’t terrified of the Batman voice
Eugene: Don't hit her in the fa-
June: *Hits Poppy in the face
Eugene: Ugh, you just hit her in the face
Poppy: *cries
*I wanna see Poppy and June to react to this when they become teens*
Do it every 5 or 10 years and record it so you have a compilation of how their opinions change
Yes that would be lovely

Regular people trying to get kids attention: Talks to them in a high pitch voice
Eugene when he tries to get kids attention: Talks to them in a deeeeeppppp voice
Phuong Tran true 😂😂
To scareee them
It made me think of the movie venom lol
Some babies respond to deeper voices! I've heard of moms who have dads to baby bedtime because baby is soothed by dad's deeper voice. Even when they're tiny, kids have their quirks! I wonder of Eugene sounds a little like their dad, because they seemed quite attentive when he was talking to them.
LEB that’s my baby with my fiancé. She calms down with my voice but my fiancé’s is so deep it’ll put her to sleep! She loves listening to both of us talk, but she really likes deep male voices.
The best thing about the whole video.........Eugene showing up in a suit for the babies just like he did for wes :D
A GOOD IMPRESSION
Nandini Sharma BECAUSE FIRST IMPRESSIONS MATTER
😘😘
people: * Using baby voice to calm babies and get attention*
Eugene: * DEEP DARTH VADOR*
Ah yes, the soothing sound of deep batman kidnapper voice.
🤣
Lol yeah. I mean our dad would put us on his chest while he hummed/tried to sing because it's deep and vibrating and that's nice and would get us to sleep, but the growling batman voice isn't quite the same thing 🤣
You win holy shit😂😂😂
It could be worse.... "Ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight...baby?"
THE DELICIOUS MILK
Poppy: fuuuk
Mom: where’d you learn that word?
Eugene: oh no
MYSTIC BEAN007 Totally😂 8:40
“ Don’t hit her in the face j- UGH did you just hit her in the face ( baby starts crying ) I just told you not to hit her , I’m sorry she did that to you . “ that killed me 😂
I like how he editor is like Eugene NO at almost everything he did 😂
Eugene: And my hands are free to wash the evidence
Eugene: *is being filmed*
" Don't hit her in the face June. "
* June just throws that thing in Poppy's face*
" Why would you do that, I literally just told you not to do that. "
Eugene acting like the babies can understand what he's saying is the best
Norse Woodman oh my god no don’t shake babies
Norse Woodman You’re a terrible human do not shake a baby
They were saying if you shake them its bad because whatever you say they are gonna think it's bad because of the pain
Christine Mary Well that’s great but that Norse commenter has been all over this comment section saying bad things so
It’s good to talk to a baby even if they don’t understand it, because the baby will feel the attention and care. Plus, that helps with developing the language faster.😊
Eugene: They're watching you. They're watching you all the time.
Baby: *turns head towards him*
😂😂😂
I love how towards the end, Rachel was talking in baby voice and asked poppy "did you have a good time?" And Eugene answered instead
the passive agressiveness from the editors when eugene messes up is everything
eugene tries. and that's the cutest thing ever.
How did the people filming have a straight face, and not say anything when he WOKE THE BABY'S UP 😂😂
Eugene is more paternal than he thinks, he might not know everything but you can tell he genuinely cares. He’ll be a great parent one day
I think the thing to remember is that, as upsetting as it is to hear a baby crying, they're not usually in pain or anything.
His nervous, frazzled energy is making them uncomfortable more than anything lol
angelofdusk13 being the like that turned this comment to 1K was so satisfying 😂
from my experience with babies, my first instinct is to start singing/humming, if they calm down, great, maybe they were bored or didn’t feel like they got attention or were lonely! If they don’t, the next step is holding them, most babies will stop crying when you hold them the right way (the way they like to be held) UNLESS they’re hungry, have a full diaper or are toothing (most likely)
eugene is definitely that wine mom, didnt want kids at first but wanted one on impulse, so he just watches them while sipping wine
jimin jams ye

Fr but he would prefer them as older like kids, since babies are too much to handle 😂(same tho)

He should definitely redo this now that they are older... once twins start walking and run in two different directions it's a whole different experience

Annik Eugene told Eugene that this was an appropriate babysitting outfit.
First impressions are important! 😂
At least he didnt wear a full-on suit this time around

It's all part of training them to be lovely young ladies
I think Eugene is just scared and nervous but he makes a good dad and the best thing is he tries which is what matters
Well the best thing is that he tries and doesn't lose the kid or kill them but i agree. He makes such a great dad its so cute
Eugene saying he's not paternal is the biggest lie EVER.
I think he is that friend that offers to watch your kids by getting some ice-cream and when you get them back he decided to go the MacDonalds and the toystore as well :P
Right
He's such a sweetheart! He rocked them to sleep because he was too nervous to leave them in the crib! 😭♥️♥️♥️

100% agree! This was bothering me.
How do you guys understand this? I have watched HP but never understood how to know who is what house 😂😂😂
@@Priyankapradyumna Basically, some common personality traits are associated with each house. Some common traits are that Gryffindors are brave, Slytherins are ambitious, Ravenclaw are wise, Hufflepuffs are patient etc. So since June is a bit of a "troublemaker," she's more like Slytherin/Gryffindor whereas Poppy has a milder personality, she's Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff.
