Waste Management: CNG Converted "Think Green, Think Clean" Mack LE/McNeilus AFE

- I was mapping more routes out one day in Santee hoping to find a route and a truck that was still diesel/LNG and not had been switched over to CNG (which btw Santee is totally CNG running vehicles now) All I found were the same Amreps that rotate around the city everyday picking up the same materials that they're assigned to. I decided that since there was nothing other than Amreps running around I would just leave. Upon leaving I stumbled upon this truck and I thought cool another CNG converted AFE. I must film it. When I walked up to the truck I immediately noticed the driver. I had come across him one time in 4S Ranch but unfortunately that day I guess he was in a hurry and didn't want to be filmed.
The driver also recognized me, asking me if I was the same guy he came across in 4S ranch a few months ago. This time he didn't mind me filming at all, and actually asked me to film and make a video so his kids could see since he said his kids love watching the trucks.
In my opinion it was a really cool truck, yes at times it can be slow, but I don't know for me I find it quite entertaining.
For those who really focus on Audio, I am very sorry, that day it was super windy, the forecast called for rain but it didn't rain (which as always in San Diego it never rains) and the wind was going crazy. My camera is very sensitive to wind... even to the slightest breeze, and for a hurricane going on it covers up the audio in a lot of spots. The nightly news said winds gusted from 30-45mph that day in Santee. So don't complain that you can't hear the truck or that all you hear is wind.

Awesome find bro! I love how he was lid flipping this time. Looks great with "Think Green, Think Clean" on it. I think WM should put that on my green waste truck now that he has a yellow curotto can. Anyway, I still got to find the La Habra one haha The ones in La Habra don't have brushes around the wheels. I find it interesting how this one does have brushes, hardly ever see that in SoCal. Seeing this guy collect 32s was really fun too. This truck is really fun to watch, and the speed actually isn't too bad. Truck sounded great too, still has a Diesel roar to it. These are way better than the Peterbilts imo 13:37 was a great angle. And man that last clip was awesome with the two "Think Green, Think Clean" trucks in a row! Man that was a great video haha Sure wish LA Hauling kept some AFEs and put "Think Green, Think Clean" on them. AFEs look great with that on them imo. Great job man!!

Great video! I am glad another on of these will hopefully stick around now that they have converted it, we will have a good amount of these in Lodi that are still diesel that I need to film!

Great footage! This truck was awesome! I like how far the arm can extend and it's speed is pretty good. The truck also has a nice sound to it. Great catch on the Amrep. Two trucks for the price of one video lol. Great shots and angles as well. Only one more video left.....
Wow nice big red gabgae truck nice to see you in the cab driveing it you look good in your big bright vest and you picking up trash from other people's house you. Guys work hard out there it gets hot when you sit in the cab to long you guys should get a drink to take with you to work and you can drink it whole you are driving but no texing and talking on your phone whole you are driveing just stay on tack and dont mess up and be safe out. There dont get hurt. OR SICK DRINK A LOT OF WATER. NO SADA YOU GUYS IT IS BAC FOR YOU GUYS HAVE FUN DRIVI G OUT. THERE IN THE. SUN THE END

the tag axle looks bent
It kinda does lol. But what's funny about tag axle's are that they stay in the position that they were last used in. The tag axle was probably retracted when he was making a turn.
Why do trash truck drivers lid flip?
It all depends on the speed of the truck, and the force that is exerted from the hydraulic presure that causes the lid to flip.
That or what i've observed, is that they flip the lids open to show which ones they've collected and which ones they haven't collected
Happen to know if this truck is still around?
I haven't seen it since I've filmed it and the driver as well. To tell you the truth the AFE's have become a rare sighting (well for me). I've been searching for the AFE's but I think they're being replaced by the Amreps. I've only seen one AFE since I've filmed this one, the one I filmed in Santee back in September 2015 (102440). That truck seems to be a popular spare truck.
