    It is crucial that you learn how to warm up before soccer because it will improve the quality of your performance, reduce the chance of soccer injuries, and is great for getting in the proper mental state to play.
    I have other videos on how to warm up for soccer but I feel this video gives the complete explanation on what I personally do before a soccer game. These are the exact soccer stretches I use to warm up my muscles and joints.
    However...
    This video contains more than just football warm up exercises. It is a complete warm up video because it explains the proper warm up mentality. It describes how you can actually become a better player because of the quality you put into your football warm up.
    In my opinion, this is how to warm up before football:
    1) Joint rotations - use these unique football exercises to warm up the major joints in your body. Neck, shoulders, elbows, spine, hips, knees, ankles, and even your toes.
    2) Dynamic stretches - you've probably done some of these football warm up exercises with your team. They are common and for good reason. These exercises do a great job at warming up the major muscle groups footballers use when they play.
    3) Deeper football stretches - these are the exercises that look closer to static stretches. However, they are not. They are still dynamic. I am not holding the stretches for longer than 3 seconds. Football exercises like these are meant to warm up the body not relax the muscle.
    4) Movement - after I've performed the above football warm up stretches I would start running around the field. Opening up my running stride, side shuffling, low shuffles, karoke, backwards running, and changing direction.
    After performing these football warm up stretches I would go into...
    Ball work.
    When most player warm up before football they go directly into ball work. They start taking shots, playing passes, and running around the field without properly warming up their muscles and joints.
    This is a big mistake.

    3. Kicks in all directions
    4. Stretches
    5. Leg swings
    6. Running and shuffles

    Neglected to warm up, and got injured right away during practice. Out for 3 months. Always stretch before you work out.

    Nice video... Just to add to it for everyone out there... also try to make sure not to get injured during warm up either. warm up needs to be gradual, to avoid doing any stretch and movement before your body is ready. Intensity goes up gradually.

    Does the movements soccer involve actually improve pelvic floor rotation and strengthening transverse abdomen? Or tightness in adductors/ abductors etc? Or one needs to get physiotherapy first and then enter the pitch?
