Need to put rent control into effect throughout the Nation. Need to increase base housing. Stop letting greedy people jack up rents because they want more money.
The rent out here in South Tampa is out of control. Im in the process of looking for a home in the Tampa area, but it’s been an absolute joke so far. I’ve had to extend my apartment lease as a result and these a-holes are fleecing me for $1500 a month for small one bedroom.
Not really, the reason rents and housing costs are so high is that New York, New Jersey absolutely suck living there, the scamdemic, high handed government officials in those states drove them all down here to live and work, with a lot of them working remotely too. I'm trying not to get political here, but it's the fault of the North East Democrat party and their political activism.
Im retired military,, 1992 - 2012. So, our Govt can spend/send billions, if not trillions, of tax payer dollars overseas to support a war in Ukraine . Should be able to dig funds from that bucket for our military in garrison for adequate family housing These service members need to be taken care ASAP so they can focus on their mission instead of worrying about covering rent/roof over their families head.
I think that active military personnel ought to have free housing because if they are worried about having to move they are not going to be at a 100% to defend our country because of the stress of many situations what is our country coming to we need to support our men and women in the armed forces and if they are renting from an individual there ought to be a mandatory cap put on the price they have to pay ❗ my prayers are sent to the men and women that depend our country our rights and our children 🙏🙏❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸 FREEDOM IS NOT FREE UNFORTUNATELY
On base housing isn't aways available because of the square footage needed for all operations of the base. On base housing can be worked out though, if you want your taxes to go up to support those who give you your freedom.

i have an idea take one the hanger and being in stuff to make it in the a temp housing place for the troops if you take a whole hanger for a big plane you can build a few floors worth inside it. leave the plane or two out side and make a hanger or two into a housing place for the sort term tell new homes get built just for troops with no family members who can live on base.

Problem is that the feral deadweights (AKA /Viggers) are still in the city taking up valuable real estate, creating 90% of the city's criminal activity and over populating the states prison system. Cut the funding to the section 8 housing and they'll all move away, crime will go down, the city can redevelop the areas and actually rents and housing costs will eventually go back down.
K simple...raise the wage, lock in a median rental average based on community income! . so they could live in modern housing! Why, because it's national safety, also the fact they are already considered poor even before they return to civilian life. Sacrifice now a days is choosing meaningful employment to support yourself or become homeless.
