Just came across your project and this chest is to be proud of! I am a woodworker and have my own shop and been looking to make a chest for my wife to store blankets in at the end of the bed this is exactly what I've been looking for a old style pirate chest but in a bigger version and this fits the bill perfectly. Need to know where you found the hardware? I'll been making the exact one but in Black walnut. Keep up the great work! Thanks for sharing.
