- Bananarama's Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward are on tour with veteran road trippers Charles Hanson and David Harper in the south east of England. No singing, mind you - it's an antiques treasure hunt at Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
Before an auction in the Leicester, Keren goes back in time to extol the dance routines of the Georgian period, Charles proves he's no shy boy with his moves. Sara diverts from the antique shops with David to learn how Black Beauty inspired a Victorian horse sanctuary that's still operating today.
Also, expect love in the first degree for a pug, a lion and a dachshund.

What I always liked about Bananarama , especially Sara and Keren is that despite being in one of the UK biggest girl pop band, they are still very down to earth and humble.
They weren't down to earth in the 80's, just ask Pete Waterman who mentions on every occasion how difficult they were to work with. They were also known or being sulky and huffy throughout the 80's. Let's get real here. They do seem to have mellowed with age. But they never struck me as down to earth. In interviews they were often mischievous and a bit rude.

If you pause at 35:30, when the gentleman who is with Keren puts the antique fan on the glass counter, you will see a round object right under the glass (from Greece? from Rome?) that depicts a nude couple in the doggy position.

Even though it made a profit, Charles should not have pushed it on her. She did not want it. Celebrity Edition should be about them not Charles.
Vintage toys from the 50s, 60s and 70s fetch good money. It is ironic that the much praised bronze lost money while the much derided toy made some!
In fact the Chinese are Still turning out modern versions of those dogs and they are still as annoying. More so, as you don't get the control box now. Just the dog on LED batteries! Try walking around a foreign market and being assailed on all sides by flourescent pink yappers!

I thought they were awful. Rude, bitchy and they were always way overrated anyway. Where are they playing now? Butlins? No, Sandringham, apparently! That is Worse than Butlins!

They could not have matched 4 more ignorant English people together if they tried. I am appalled they see a British Bulldog, a symbol of British pride in WWII and have the audacity to call it a pug. Pugs are not even a British breed. How utterly and cringeworthily embarrassing for them.
Sigh. I rather think the embarrassment lies elsewhere.
A mandolin described as a lute? And the "expert" is ok with that? Truly one of the worst programmes on BBC.
