- Toyota entered the C-Segment in India in early 2018 with the Yaris which is here to rival the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento and Maruti Ciaz. The Yaris is offered with only a petrol engine and a diesel engine option has been skipped. However, the sedan does offer extremely good features and is also the only sedan in its segment to come with 7 standard airbags.

The R in "Yaris" Stands for Reliability, as if Honda does not make Reliable cars But Vtec is pure Enthusiast's Wet Dream..., Moreover Hyundai with its poor Reliability and Much lower resale values, especially Diesel ones is Priced low.....

I have a Toyota Yaris VX (top model) and I don't have any problems with it. As mentioned in th video the ride quality is the best, lot of new features, strong build quality, safety, a lot of rear seat space compared to Verna but a little less than City. Only thing missing is a sunroof and a better bumper colour and this car would be perfect.
I have a yaris and it is comfortable and feature loaded and it is awesome

I don't know Toyota is not offering Diesel engine, also Toyota says that they don't take maintenance cost but fact is that they already take maintenance charge as their product price.

I personally feel the tyres are bit too small for the car and the odly placed a.c. vents under infotainment system are the cons . The pros the car has acoustic glass all around so less noise from outside cudos to toyota for this.

Why you want diesel variant. That is not a con that is a pros thing. Launching its diesel variant will lost its charm and premiumness in its segment. Look Honda, they lost their brand oomphness , charm and value lot in India after diesel launching variants . The worst thing am gonna hear that is they are launching diesel civic.

Vtec and a good reliable Engine, beats the Verna to the Crank!! Besides Hondas are much cheaper to repair with good amount of cheap spares....

Even if it was just for a few seconds when the Honda CITY came on frame....it was truly refreshing after watching the boring yaris for some time..
Seriously... the designer was on weed when he was designing the Yaris... especially the front end...
I had lotz of expectations on yaris before it came to India, but it's totally not worthy and it cannot compare with honda city or verna
