She didn’t even win a set against Graf. She also played serve-and-volley with decent net games and backhand slices, similar to Novotna. I am wondering why she never beat Graf or Seles, even on grass court?
her remember Tauziat had a real good change in their Birmingham semifinal meeting, she was playing great tennis and Steffi was just coming back from injury. Their match and the whole tournament was postponed due to the weather. But I guess we will never know :)
@@JacquesHsu it's odd how some matchups are Tauziat really didn't have a dependable way to net, her groundstrokes were not overpowering, she's probably the only serve and volleyer who never won a set from Graf Zina, Jana, Lori, Shriver,Kohde-Kilshe ,Durie, all beat Steffi more than once, Actually Durie is one of the few who has a winning record against her Sukova beat her once , when she was 14 or 15 and never again , but she did take some sets from her, Hana Mandlikova beat her once and got creamed 6 other times Gigi Fernandez also beat a 14 year old Steffi but never even came close afterwards Even all court players like Patty Fendick and Judith Weisner took a set off her
@@kd17Burger Kohde Kilsh never beat Steffi once since before she turned 17, and neither did Durie so neither of those should count in anyway with those others. Kohde Kilsh is particularly meaningless when both her wins came in 1984, LOL! Never won again after that year. Those others all have atleast 1 legit win, but Jana has a surprisingly poor 4-26 head to head for the calibre of player she was. Zina's only real win was Wimbledon 1990, considering her other win was also 1984. 2 of Shrivers's wins were 1985, then she has one more win in 1988. Apart from Lori McNeil to an extent it is a myth Graf had unusual trouble with serve and volley players typically. Tauziat did not have the lucky to play 14 and 15 year old Graf like some of these others, but also Lori, Zina, Jana, Pam indeed all had atleast 1 legit win, but then again all of those are superior and more talented players than Tauziat is anyway. Tauziat might have better results than Lori but Lori is easily more talented, Natalie is a huge overachiever and Lori an underachiever.
