Hi Casey, it me, the owner of the '84 Chanel 😃 I *love* the Jackie Hobo, she was photographed wearing the signature canvas with the horsebit closure, a small to medium size, very practical. I would love to have a similar one, or a black or cream leather one with gold hardware. Totally, totally understandable why you want it!!! So I just got an Ophidia tote for Christmas, and the reason I chose it was that I always loved the Boston Satchels growing up in the 80s, with the red and green or red and navy gucci stripes. I want one just like that, but I didn't really see a new satchel that made my heart sing. But the tote just met all my needs of practicality and nostalgia. I try to add a good tote at least every other year because I carry them a lot, and this one has the signature canvas and the stripes😀 I got it with the Navy Trim for practicality, but l also love the cream trim. I would not mind one of those or the Sand Fuere la Page daily battle tote, that is also a gorgeous color for a canvas bag. Lol I'm getting totally ahead of myself 🤣 Anyway I am really not a logo person, this Gucci is the most recognizable bag I've ever carried, including my LV Monogram Speedy. *Everyone* knows those stripes!! I bought an adorable hobo at the Coach boutique in Carmel this fall, the Jules hobo. It is my stand in for the Jackie right now, so I'm going to have to live vicariously through you, cannot wait to see a reveal!!!
I love your taste in bags and I agree with you on the logos. I prefer understated bags as well, but I have a Gucci with the canvas and the Louis Vuitton monogram and Damier Azur. But this Jackie bag just speaks to my heart!! I looked up your Coach which is a great alternative and I love how you have the strap options with that one too. The Jackie just needs to come home to me 😜

Fashionphile gives decent payouts for designer bags. Maybe get quotes so you have an idea of what you can get for your bags and browse the secondhand market to get idea of what they are selling for. You can’t go wrong with a Jackie bag, it’s a classic. I want the brown leather (cuir color?) Jackie bag…it goes for close to $4000 (medium size I think?)…it’s on my wishlist! Good luck!
I really should look at Fashionphile more, I tend to go to eBay by default but would make sense to get more information on payouts and understand what makes the most sense. Ugh, I just need Jackie!! I hope we're both able to bring our girls home soon!!
