Very inspiring: you have created a real work of art! Thanks for posting, I will be watching this again when I start building my sig cub in the next couple of months. Happy landings!
Callie Graphics can make you any kind of vinyl graphics and wing number set. Top Notch makes a nice dummy engine kit in 1/6 scale. I used Dubro 1/5 scale Cub logo wheels, they look good. Wing struts are functional, attach securely to fuse and wing panels.
Sorry for the lack of wing build photos. I built the wing many years ago and thought that I had photos but they seem to have disappeared at some point. I'll upload a video of its construction if the photos turn up.
I've built two of these ... a Clipped Wing and a full wing 1/6th scale. For a small plane it is the sweetest flying model I've flown in my 50+ years of modelling. I just tracked down another Clipped Wing kit and I'm going to build it just for the pleasure of building! Your project looks stunning. Well done!!! What did you cover it with?
Thanks! Yes, these are great flying models and are perfect for those days when you just want to have a relaxing flight. I have the larger 1/4 scale Sig Clipped Wing Cub kit that I will get to someday. I used Koverall for the covering and painted with Vallejo Premium Color paints. Good luck with your Clipped Wing!
@@BalsaAeroProjects Koverall, good choice. If you are careful with the paint it's not much heavier than Monocrap or Ultrashit but it's much stronger and totally realistic. These "Craftsman" kits build nice, I'm going to enjoy this, my 3rd Sig Cub.

Thank you, Pat! It really was a lot of fun. The best of luck with your build!
Wow. Fantastic work. Impressed.
I have a lot to learn.
Thanks!
Very nice! Don't often see small Cubs with that much detail. Engine is especially well done.
Thank you!

@@garygullikson6349 Thank you.
Great deatailing, helping me a lot with my Philip Kent version, would love to see images of the wing build though as I'm struggling a bit with mine!

Thank you!
What was the flying weight of the Cub? Thanks
I don't remember the glow version but the ep version came in at 2.2kg or about 4.8 lbs. That is with a 3S 4200 mah LiPo.
Ok, I found it. Glow version was 2.27kg or right at 5 lbs.

Thank you!!
has anyone built the engine from a 3D printer?
Not that I know of but the file has got to be out there somewhere.
