Warranty lol, ford will do anything to not cover anything under warranty. My tub cracked as the tub is not designed to hold a canopy, yep thats what i was told and by fitting a canopy to the tub which is not load bearing there is no warranty. Had my ford 3.2 modded at 1000,00 and no issues. 620nm 200kw. At 160,000 and still going well. This new turbo and intercooler looks like a great option. Thanks Tim.
But car dealers are famous at finding any reason to avoid repairs under warranty, especially Ford. As soon as they get even a hint that you’ve modified the engine, good luck trying to get them to repair it under warranty. Remember, it’s not about them proving that the mod caused the failure, it’s about you getting them to do the work. If they refuse to do the work, you next step is to take the dealer to court.
@@timbates4wdadventures Of course it does. The only way to keep warranty on a tuned car is to do only stage1 tune, where only software changes. All mechanical mods will void the warranty.

So how long does the stock transmission last? I have seen stock torque levels break the factory 6 speed auto under heavy towing?! Fords R680 (ZF based) is known to have issues with high torque over a prolonged time. Ask me how I know, I own a BT-50 with same unit and broke it towing 2.5 tonnes! I also wouldn’t like to put 700NM through the Ford/China manual trans either!
It's my understanding that with modified 6R80's ie torque converter, upgraded valve body and especially aftermarket cooler the 6R80 is capable of handling 1000 HP, it's actually quite a strong transmission, let down by poor factory torque converter and poor cooling .
@@rossawood5075 stock! I have broken 2 with Stock Torque levels. There maybe aftermarket mods for them but why not just buy a Ute with actual good engineering! Ford are known for under done design and engineering! Look at 10R80, Fiesta/Focus ‘Powershit’ transmissions….

What happens to the reliability of the drivetrain with almost double the torque (specifically the auto box). There are not many auto boxes that can reliably handle nearly 700Nm
Autobox can handle 800nm. Jump on new ranger forum and search it. Many people have put up the technical data for the drive line of the rangers because of how much people want to mod them.

What was the price for these exact mods. Please don't say contact them for a quote. I'm sure the question was asked while you were there filming so just a rounded figure would be good for most people to see if this is even viable. Cheers in advance.
I appreciate the work/ development thats gone into this stuff, but really, having used a 3.2 Ranger i can't understand why you'd waste money doing these mods. Better spent on decent wheels/tyres, bullbar, lights etc.... in my opinion anyway They go pretty good standard.
At what cost? Every turbo powered factory engine improves with a better exhaust Faster to come on boost, less exhaust back pressure and reduced exhaust gas temp It’s crazy the standard system on when a good 3 inch system is common sense The first power & reliabilty mod I would put onto any turbo vehicle is a better exhaust

What I’d expect from a V6…so my I6 quad turbo diesel-fuelled engine produces 394hp and 590lb.ft of torque. It achieves 62mph in 4.6 seconds, whilst consuming 42mpg at 75mph. I think it is a pickup truck and a dog of a vehicle. Australia really is inexperienced and unsophisticated.
Just think it wasn’t that long ago AU had much more powerful utes with turbo 6 and V8. How sad has Ford AU become where people are wanting more power and better drivability like good old days.
@@1989cranston are you sure??? That's cheap! The turbo itself and new injector would be $3k in just parts. Then you have intercooler and the ECU hand held box etc etc.
