I have never seen this technique for assembling an album before. It looks interesting. I will look for a decorated album to see what kind of hinges you use. Thanks for your creativity and sharing. You did a great job in showing the importance of burnishing .
Thank you Tamara for sharing this basic album tutorial. I have ordered the black construction tape from your website. I saw your walk through of your Alice Folio album which I found enchanting. Looking forward to seeing more of your work now that I have subscribed to your channel 😊
I like this option as I can actually make bigger albums if I want as I don't need 1" on each side for card to wrap the album. I know we can piece the cardstock but normally that's the width, not the height. While I love the albums my personal star is intended to be the photos, my photos are 4 by 6 and I don't want to cut them down (or at least not by much). So many mini albums would require that I make my photos smaller. This would change that need.
This is a really quick and easy way to get into album making. I do enjoy doing the wrapping technique but find this way is just as eye catching. I agree the photos are the star of any album but I personally love different size photos in my albums as that way you can make the most of all available space. I would so love to see your albums, I do have a Facebook group facebook.com/groups/755632111887119 where I would be able to see them. xx
I've been using the tape method for a few years and love it, but have always used the 'fold over' method to join the spine and covers which often resulted in wonky covers. This is a game changer Tamara! It looks so neat and tidy, I've been on your website and ordered the gap guides and look forward to using them on my next project x
Thank you for your order Jan, you should hopefully get your goodies very very soon. I would love to see your creations once you have finished. I also have a group on facebook called Memories Paper Art xx
Hi could you tell me what would be the advantage of using the tape method for a mini album by comparison to the "traditional" adhering the separate pieces with card stock?
I looked in the shop but couldn't find the gap guide. How much are they and wondering what it would be to ship to Ontario, Canada? Thank you I really enjoyed your video. Oops I found them 6.99. which if I converted it right it would be $11.77 Canadian plus postage. That's great. Can you let me know what it would be please.

Awesome tutorial with wonderful tips! Thank you!!!
Thank you. This is very helpful to me for making my journals covers a different way. It looks easier and more sturdy than just using paper.

Thank you order received, great service 🥰
You are most welcome xx
You make this seem that I could achieve this
Hi Christine, using this method is very achievable I promise. It's a nice way to get into album making. x
Could I request a tutorial about doing the spine and adding in the pages please.
Hi Christine, did you mean for this book or any book in general?

Where did you purchase the measuring tool for the book making?
Hi, the gap guides come from my shop www.tamaramortoncrafts.com

Hi Donna, it is a much faster way of constructing an album. Cuts down the completion time.
What spine method do you use with this album?
I love these gap guides, do you ship to the US?
I do yes..xx
