Hey Nick! Thanks for this tutorial. It's simple and yet so powerful. Do you know how can we customise the badge design, just like the example of the Twitter app you showed at the beginning?
+Alejandro Mohamad Thanks Alejandro! The short answer is no. It looks like you can dive into the subviews and do some things but I wouldn't recommend it :) stackoverflow.com/questions/16274017/is-it-possible-to-customize-uitabbaritem-badge
+Made Up By People Thanks! It worked, although not exactly what I wanted. But hey! We can customise it (with some -a lot of- work). Also thanks for your opinion. :)
Sorry to bother again. :P Can you make a tutorial explaining how to create an app with localization? I'd like to hava apps both in english and spanish. ;)
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question. Why do you always start with a "Single View Application" instead of using the "Tabbed Application" when creating the project?
+Made Up By People Tanks for the video. I'm having a problem with app name as it doesn't appear when I click to play simulator. As in your video a blank screen appeared without app name the same is happening with my apps. Other than that everything works fine. Is it possible to assist me with this please. Thanks in advance.
Hey I'm quite new at this, first of all thank you for your video. I need some help for coding. As in your video I want to tap two times on "Favorites", so by doing it my view goes not back to the last view but to the root view. I don't find any solutions, thank you :)
+zerocontentTV I'm glad you liked it. Here is some help how to detect when a tap happens. I think you could use this to do what you're looking for stackoverflow.com/questions/22392151/tap-tab-bar-to-scroll-to-top-of-uitableviewcontroller
What I hate the most about pretty much all videos on youtube is that all of you instructors seem to be living in some completely different reality!!!! Like most likely that in 99% of apps the very first step would be login screen!!!! which is most likely will be done via Firebase or smth similiar!!! and therefore, most likely that the very first screen will be just a regular view controller and ONLY then most likely going into Tab Bar Controller. Therefore, is it really that difficult to think from that angle and teach/show really how to do that!!! Like as a very novice developer what is literally driving me mad is that Im going from videos to videos, from one instructor to another and none of you!!!! none!!! can and want to teach stuff from practical standpoint, i.e. really teaching the methods on how to combine a multiple things at the same time and so the app would not be crashing, therefore, really teaching programming and not "Oh, how cool is that" or "Good stuff" or "Look how easy it's done" No, for god's sake it is not easy! and not straight forward!!!!
Just wait till you start asking questions about how certain things are programmed. Like If you ask how a specific function works in WebKit or something. Most programmers don't know. They just know the end result. So frustrating, especially when you maybe want to change a function in WebKit to how you want it. Programming is frustrating, but essential. Oh and just wait till you run into the mountain of rules when asking a question on Stack Overflow. You will probably need to make about 12 accounts to ask all the questions you need to get started. They despise newbies, so any question that is like "How does this program work" will be shunned your profile will be banned. luckily with all their knowledge of coding they forgot that you could just make a new account. You can start to see what kind of reality they live in. Everyone believes they are right all the time. Their way is the way, the world will die of stupidity soon.
Dude thanks so much for this, it actually gave me a better understanding of Tab Views!

+Chase McElroy Just so you can see how it works from scratch. Better way to learn IMO :)
Thanks! I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with the templates.
Nice one brother
+Joseph Yasikovich thanks!

Does this work on swift 3?
yes it does. I followed this tutorial exactly using Swift 3.
