I love, love bracelets so I went online & ordered loads of cord after watching this video. I am working on the 1st tutorial, I will move on to the 2nd once I have watched it again. Thank for sharing this super cool video - a very delighted Londoner, x
i woke up today wanting to make a bracelet and then i saw this tutorial! i made the first one.. love it :) thanks for the tutorial! i want to note that the curb chain should be a little longer than the rhinestone chain because they got shorter as i was threading them w/ the rhinestones (since the spacing of the stones were closer than the spacing of the links).
I don't recommend tape for this particular project. The best method (for me at least) is holding the chains up, otherwise the chains will turn. Something better than tape is to use a clip board ;)
LOVE!! Just saw I Spy DIY on a rerun of Martha yesterday (which means she'll prob be on today too!) & she talked about her bracelets. Some chain is going to make/sell them, I think.
I made the one of the bracelets and it turned out great! When I did the second one, the bracelet kept on twisting and it got all twirled around. How do I keep that from happening?
Love this! I'm doing the first one right now but I have a problem. The bracelet is starting to twist as I am going down, its not as straight as yours. Suggestions? Thanks!
the chains have jump rings attached at the top of them and jumprings/lobster clasp at the end.use the cord to tie the two jump rings at the top together.your cord should now be in two 'sections' seperated by the knot.the short end should only be a few inches long at the most, ignore that strand.the second part should be the rest of the length.start on the left chain going under and up the 'hole' the chain had then go down and through the 'hole' of the second chain and repeat. hope this helped :)
I tried to make the second design... I got the silver and gold Tori Spelling chains but I feel like the silver ones I have are different than yours. The links don't line up correctly and one always ends up scrunching up. Also, if I ever do get to the second chain, I'm unsure of how I'll squeeze the suede cord back through the middle chain... The cord hardly fits the first time :( Maybe I need a thinner cord?
Is it possible to do 2 chains without any rhinestone? I tried buying 3 but have had no luck buying the gold chain that matches the silver. I work at Michael's and our store doesn't have Styled.
I would use twist-ties that are usually on bread bags or string to tie the bracelet off in sections so that it doesn't twist while I make it. This could also make it easier to hold the chains together.
Super glue! I actually stole a bottle of CA(Cyanoacrylate) from Eric's tool box. You can find it at a hobby shop. They make different thicknesses that make it easier to work with.
I made the first bracelet and I absolutely love it but i did have to use some superglue.. one tip is while making the first one, always keep one hand (thumb and pointer finger) holding the top jewel:) also getting the knot at the bottom is a bit difficult
Thank you sooo much for the tutorial and exact materials and where to buy them from! :D other pple dont do tht,and it makes it difficult to get the exact look withoutthe samematerials. Thanku a ton, im going to try both of these soon too! :))
For the Tori Spelling chains- did you use the small or medium chain thickness? On different craft websites it does not specify 6mm... it goes by small and medium. Great bracelets! I will definitely give it a try
Do the same thing, it's like a mirror image. You can also flip it over. Just remember under-out, over -in.
for the chains to stay in place and not get mixed or out of shape, it's better to hold the up and have the fall down.
Yes I did, I said it's the same thing as the first side I demonstrated. I didn't think it made sense to show the same thing again.
it's difficult to hold the chain in a steady position but the lacing is very easy to do ;) materials are on the bottom of the videos =)
these are beautiful!!!! The second one is my favorite!
I love the blue bracelet!!
yes... I've seen them in both store. Sorry if it didn't seemed clear. It was b/c the methods were very much alike to the first. =)
My cords do shed. You see it more with the darker colors. It's going to happen when you're weaving but after that it wll stay put.
I really love how these look, hopefully mine will come out the same
i am soooooo obsessed with your bracelet DIYs, they are always so beautiful!
I get them from all the stores I listed below the vid =)
they're listed below the video ;)

it's so gorgeous but I'd never do that as pretty as you do! just wow. respect.
yes... it's like looping around :)
place it against your chains and wrap it like in the video, then cut off the extras with a scissor
omg yes! i get the urge to be crafty and make things over the summer, so I'm really glad to have found this!

they should fit around your wrist, everyone is different in length =)
i love the 2nd design..it looks soo cool!
measure the length of your wrist.

Is it possible to do 2 chains without any rhinestone? I tried buying 3 but have had no luck buying the gold chain that matches the silver. I work at Michael's and our store doesn't have Styled.
