Not going to lie, was very sincerely trying to figure out what kind of wood my piece of driftwood is and didn't realize this was a mockumentary until wayyyy too far into the video.
Me googling what kind of driftwood would be safe for my aquarium.. clicked on first video.. took me way too long to realize this was a mockumentary.. 😂😂
Ok, I found what I think is a large piece of driftwood. It was by the sea. However, where I actually found it was in a small park under some trees. But the park was right next to the beach and sea. So would this be considered a piece of driftwood?
I can’t believe our society was once so cruel to such a docile being. May those beautiful, sand grazing, mother logs have a fulfilling and prosperous mating season this year. If anyone wants to join in Florida. I’ll be in the dunes photographing the ritualistic dance the male performs before penetration; never photographed before. God bless this log enjoyer for spreading the news that our oceans... are in trouble.
Still 2 years later, this is the first video Google loads, when searching " how to know if driftwood is from a ship wreak!!!😂😂😂 As someone has previously stated, "Well played, sir!"" FYI I do live on the Oregon Coast, and I mean, on the ocean. Crazy stuff washes ashore all the time. Lol
According to Google driftwood is most definitely connected to tree's. It falls of trees into the river and then gets carried to the sea, this making long journeys from the Forrest's to the sea, finally getting washed up on the beach. If you disagree with this information or have another explanation please clarify.
What I meant by connected was if the branch or small piece of wood was still attached to the main trunk of the tree it isn't driftwood but a log. I wasn't referring to the driftwood life cycle.
This fooled me. I am looking for ways to identify the species of driftwood (aquarium curiosity, some are not good for fish). Got confused at first, but funny though
My dude, this is Google's top result for Identifying Driftwood. Well played Sir.
That sumb***h got me good 😂
My guy I straight up googled driftwood and it pulled up this video as a deadass recommended source. I’m dead

Bless him.
Y’all joke, but I refuse to kill my fish bc I’m cheap and uneducated. On to the next vid. Many kinds of driftwood WILL kill all of your fish
Certain trees are deadly to ball pythons, too. That's why I was trying to identify what I'd found, to see if could clean and use in enclosure.
Why do you play with my feelings 😂
Tagging driftwood 😂
