Nice job! I'm a sucker for upgrading to a hard-wired crossover, neat work. When doing this sort of thing myself, I have often found that air-cored inductors need more turns than their ferrite-cored equivalent, so tend to have a higher DC resistance: a) Did you compare the two? b) If yes, how close did you get?
@@TheRealWindlePoons Thanks for the comment. Yes as you know air core inductors use a lot more wire. That's more expensive hence why manufacturers use iron core. I measured the inductance and DC resistance as I need to keep both the same. I try and stay within 10% on the DC resistance.
@@haycrossaudio5474 Very kind of you to reply, enjoying your vids immensely, can I ask what carbusonic product exactly? And what did the Cadenzas turn out like after your work? I've been looking for your finished measurements/ opinion. All the best.
Amazing work. It would have been interesting to hear the before and after just to hear the difference you made. Cheers, Paul from South Australia.
Well done - they look fantastic and can't wait to see how they perform!

Thanks
Yes, I’d be interested to hear about the rubber treatment too.
Hi, what did you use to treat the rubber please?
@@festinger3 isopropyl alcohol to clean. Carbusonic to condition
