Project Description:

In this video, you will learn how to set up Elevons for an RC plane or RC Flying Wing type design using the Flysky FS i6 Transmitter and a 6 channel Receiver.
We have two servos and a 1000KV Brushless DC motor. The Brushless motor is connected with Channel 3 and the two servos are connected with channels 1 and 2. The Servo motors are connected with the control surfaces called Elevons. The reason these control surfaces are called Elevons because they both work as Elevators for the Up and Down pitch movement and as the ailerons for the roll movement of the RC Plane. So, anyhow the transmitter is already bound to the receiver. Before you start setting up the Elevons, make sure you remove the propellers, check all your connections and then go ahead and connect your battery to power up all the electronics.
Now, turn ON your transmitter, and you can start by checking your control surfaces using the control sticks or joysticks…You can see when I move the control stick in the downward direction or in the upward direction I am only able to control the left side control surface this is because the two servos are connected with different channels… The same thing happens when I move the control stick to the left and right…Channel 3 is working fine, I can control the speed of brushless motor… The only problem is with the channel 1 and channel 2 and this is the reason the two servo motors behaves in an abnormal way. This is what we are going to fix now.

thank you so much for this, ive been trying to figure this out for the past couple days an i didnt really know what to search for to find the solution an finally stumbled onto this video. my plan is nothing like this. but i plan to make one similar soon. but i was having trouble trying to get my ailerons working from 2 servos on while controlling both of them so i think this will help take care of if, or at least it will send me on the right track in figuring it out

Hello thanks. But could you help me because I have an old Futaba attack 4 in 72 Megaherz am and also the channels and receptors. So how can i do with some circuit to do this mix for elevon in my flying wheel if the radio does not have this option. Only reverse servos.....any idea? Apart of buying new 2'4 ghz digital radio and receptor😅

I thought exactly the same thing. In that case it can be rectified by swapping the two aileron servos plugs in the receiver.
i am new to this my first time i really don't no what to do i only follow ur video and do it just that wing don't work and tail don't work also they don't move at all
How to make the alieron and elevator mix ? For example when I turn left and right with the alieron I want the elavtor to move up aswell . instead when I turn to one side the elevator goes down and when I turn to the other side it goes up . how to make the elevator stay up when I turn both sides?
im not to sure but i think that would have something to do with mixes i would try to look into mixes on this remote might help lead you down the right path
