Matchday 15 of the 2021/22 season witnessed two very special milestones: Both the 5,000th penalty in the Bundesliga's glorious history and also the 1,000th different penalty taker. Whether expertly taken, impressively saved or woefully missed - every penalty-kick has its own story. Some decide entire championships, while others rescue teams from relegation. @@ValSX There was a rule then, though not as strict as it is now. Otherwise goalkeepers could stand anywhere even right in front of the 6 yard box before the penalty was taken. If you didn't think so, then specify what rule that prevented goalkeepers from doing that, if not the same touchline rules as before.

I've seen loads of people do a 'no look' pen. They are looking at the ball on the penalty spot when they kick it. Technically it's the same thing. Your not directly looking at the keeper...
