the 2019 GBB you're watching now is one the highest displays of skill in battles we've ever seen. D-Low has some *incredible* displays towards the earlier rounds, and that's because he was forced to go up against some MONSTERS so he had to step up or step off. If we're being honest, most finals and battles towards the end don't turn out as good as the ones at the start of the competition, and that's because people use up all their good routines and techniques at the start to make sure they get to the end 100% So watch the earlier battles bro! @@HertzVT Yeah, the WBC2015 reinvigorated my love beatboxing. I've been following beatboxing since 2002 and by about 2012-2013 I had gotten a little bit tired of the scene as it was growing a bit stale for me so I took a break but checked back in for the 2015 World Championship and was blown away. @@Helldog6 I started really getting into beatboxing in like 2009-2010. And for the first couple years I did notice some repetitiveness in styles. Like everyone was trying to be the best at technicality or heavy bass. It wasn't until 2013 and so on that people really started developing individual styles and with loopstation getting evermore popular, musicality being an important factor skyrocketed. WBC was a stepping stone for a lot of notable beatboxers today (shoutout to Bee-Low the legend himself), but I think GBB really took it to a mainstream medium. It's exciting to see where beatboxing goes these days! So much new young talent that are SO incredibly diverse in their styles it's really inspiring!
@@HertzVT Yeah, which sucks because I missed 2013 after getting burned out with the technicality. It was just too much technical skill to the point where it wasn't even like a beat and started being just noise to me. It could've just been me being burned out, but idk. I love Beelow, definitely a legend, but yeah the GBB - especially these last 3-4 years have just taken over. 7:39 - That's an Inhale Fry Scream, which is incredibly surprising given the amount of work that it takes to do it well without screwing yourself up, he pulled it off VERY well. If you notice it he drops his shoulders and hunches over a fair amount while continuing a relaxed posture, this is the proper technique for this kind of vocal as many people screw up by huffing and puffing with their shoulders bouncing around. It's pretty insane the amount of techniques, including screaming techniques that they use in this single battle alone, many of which are mostly heard in heavier forms of metal and other similar genres.
As someone who screams, no one does inhales because it's bad for your vocal health. I, new to beatbox, am just mindblown by how much stuff is inhale. But at the same time I've been doing that inward fry sound my whole life, it's how kids make dinosaur noises lol

There's a variety of styles of screams you can get out of Inhale, it all comes down to mouth shape, the way you move your throat, etc. Anything that applies to exhale when it comes to these aspects applies to inhales. The reason why people fucked up their voices is the amount of pressure they put and the environment they did it in. For example, if you are in a club with a smoking room (or already smoke), it's different than being at a open air venue where there's less toxic fumes in the air. You are inhaling all of that shit, every minute you spend screaming, you spend inhaling that in. Cupping the mic can help with this because less of the air being inhaled is from around you and is being funneled in with little space as you mouth is very close to the mic. This also means it requires a lot less air pressure to get the sound out. Everyone thinks they are a professional on the subject, there aren't any. I can claim that because I don't see any anywhere who have lasted as long as I have, there are so few, it's very difficult. Firstly, I love your reactions as someone who isn't in the scene. So much appreciation, it's loved by everyone in the beatbox community. Secondly, I would recommend Tomazacre's Elimination for this competition. As for Tomazacre's first round, it's a completely different scene when it's live, which is probably you didn't "feel it." It's not you and there's nothing wrong with you XD Much love
bro im so glad all youtubers watching beatboxing bc im part of beatbox commuity and im so glad dude u are to thx for watching swissbeatbox and make sure to watch more and the loop station its crazy
In the first round the deep base D-Low uses is called a lip roll, which is sucking air through a small opening on the side of your mouth. He also uses a technique where he blows air through his lips with a small opening in the middle. When he speaks and it doesn't sound like his normal voice it is a form of inward base where you speak while breathing in. During his second drop in the first round the very high sounds are also liproll, but vocalized ones. Tomazacre uses the liproll, the second technique I talked about a lot as well, just like the inward base. In D-Low's second round he used a lot of outward K-snares, crazy breathing techniques and a different technique where you suck air through an opening on the side of your lips. In Tomazacre's second round he used a lot of crazy techniques like a scratch, hollow whistle and some others
If I could put it simple for the bass TOMAZACRE has a unique bass Called “demon bass” and D-LOW he has an insane inward bass as heard and beatboxing is a combination of sound and other techniques I can’t fully explain but it’s really awesome I’m only a beginner but it’s all around pretty fun too don’t take my word for the explanation of beatbox it’s just what I have learned so far
Yes ur right. I am learning beatboxing for almost half a year now but I am so deep in it that I know so much stuff xD Tomazacre uses a unique inward bass and growl/vibration bass. THe more "bubbly" one is his vibration bass/growl I think and his really agressive one is his inward bass
Technique-wise: D-Low has some amazing inward bass, also you could be interested in throat bass, inward lip roll, tomazacre's alien bass. There's a lot of stuff in beatbox, it's incredible
Bro, you should watch: RYTHMIND Grand Beatbox Battle Loopstation Champion 2019 Last year loopstation winner will definetely get you into loopstation beatbox!
That “record being rewound” sound effect, tomazacre did towards the end of his 2nd round that you seemed to be a fan of but yet puzzled as to how it’s done is actually a lot easier than you think. If you can successfully make a decent “zipper sound effect” in that corner/crack of your lips, you can achieve that record being spun back effect. You just quiver your lips/tremble the as fast as possible while pulling air in until the final beat of the bar or measure in the song. This makes the sound kind of Crescendo in pitch and volume simultaneously. While the fast tremble in the crack or corner of your lips gives that kind of vibrato feel that makes it almost sound like an ORIGINAL Super Mario audio sampler rom going into one of the green pipes to another level or something haha. Pretty easy sound to do even for a non beatboxer like me! :D I just try to be🤣🤣🤣
Yo I love all your reactions been stuck on the rock ones but as an amateur beatboxer myself it's good to see the culture spread around. Much love keep it up brotha
Hey, bro, this thing 7:59 called invard bass, it's like inhale techinque of growling in extreme vocal, but sound comes from deeper part of throat, it's not so hard to do, but hard to training for taking same result. D-low is a monster. He, Codfish, Kenny Urban and Trung-Bao - my favorite beatboxers))
Here's a breakdown of Dlow's techniques: (ive only done beatboxing for a couple of months so im not an expert, correct me if im wrong) Dlow uses: Dlow Liproll 2:17 BMG Snare 2:28 Has this raspberry sound to it Vocal Bass 2:22 It almost sounds like a v A type of Inward Drag 2:23 Its the in and out air sound you hear Snore Bass 2:20 When he speaks, his pitch drops to an extreme low Inward Tongue Bass 2:57 Uses hand to hit throat for sound 3:30 Has this high pitch falsetto sound to it Cough Snare Basically sounds like a cough

Just adding here NME vs BREZ NME vs Rythmind are good too to react to
He'd go crazy on that one. Lol.
Not the first video of your reactions but for sure my favourite at this moment. Gonna check more and more!
Also check out Colapss vs D-Loww 2019
It's just FIREEEE🔥🔥🔥🔥
True
i really want him to see this one
He really needs to see that!!!!
He really needs to see, botaco vs Codfish
Loving your reactions! My suggestions: top 10 drops 2019 Mb14 vs saro Soso vs beatness and codfish 2018 compilation lastly top 5 drops 2018 keep it up!
The crowd has all those big ass speakers so they are really feeling all of this
How to say Tomazacre:
Tom-a-zack-rae
Now say it in a Latino accent. Done.
7:19
*Bass kill him
*Soul returns
*Dies on scratch
DLow vs B Art is my favourite battle of the gbb2019 but I'd just recommend some d low compilations (as everyone else is too)
Look at B-art vs MB14. B-art being the third place 2019 and MB14 being an absolute legend
3th ? Bro..
Man…, been 3 years I still enjoy your reaction video man. How have you been man.
Codfish vs Tomazacre 2019 bro, that shit was great :)))
You need to react to
top 10 drops grand beatbox solo 2019
bro im so glad all youtubers watching beatboxing bc im part of beatbox commuity and im so glad dude u are to thx for watching swissbeatbox and make sure to watch more and the loop station its crazy
React to NaPom's Roll Like this, he's a pioneer of beatboxing and modernized kt
I'm an alien - Indicator
This dude has some mad bass and some epic flow
True
But that video is so much edited so not tru
Yusuf Caliskan Ive talked to indicator personally. His bass is legit
Yusuf Caliskan lmao definitely legit discord dont lie 🙌🏻
@@yusufcaliskan1031 what are you on about? It's completely unedited, only the audio is mastered
It's like you're learning a complete strange language 😂🤙🏼
Remember with every sound your learning if you can't do it relaxed somethings not right
Dlow:Demon
Codfish:Robot
B art:Alien
Tomazacre:Monster
Trust me I watch their beatbox since last year and that's what everyone says
@@nickz___7727 someone had to comment it right? xDDDD
Codfish- Robot sound
D-Low- Devil sound
Tomazacre- monster sound
wrong
Right
The sound of tomazacre(predator)is the best and i can use
*B-Art Monster Sounnd* !!!
So true
When he’s doing that crazy deep voice that sound like a demon it’s called Inward bass. It’s like a growl while you’re breathing in
Gonna need a reaction to the Joyner Lucas, Will Smith - Will remix
you gotta reacto CODFISH VS BATACO ITS THE CRAZIEST BATTLE I'VE EVER SEEN
One of my favourites too
I totally agree bro, he is so sick!
Yes pls
Or alexinho vs two h
the BEST
omg your reactions are priceless!! love this!! love the beatbox vids!!
Technique-wise: D-Low has some amazing inward bass, also you could be interested in throat bass, inward lip roll, tomazacre's alien bass. There's a lot of stuff in beatbox, it's incredible
the reason the crowd is goin crazy is cause when you actually witness this in real life, it just hits different
These beatbox vids are lit dude. I don't see enough people showing the same sorta hype for it.
Bro, you should watch: RYTHMIND Grand Beatbox Battle Loopstation Champion 2019
Last year loopstation winner will definetely get you into loopstation beatbox!
Yeah , 1 of the best compilation
8:02 thats the sound my dog makes when he is choking
XD I died
That scream tomaz let out at the end of dlow second round str8 gave me chills
Can u react to NME vs rythmind finals loopstation 2019
yees
Oh yes that's a good one.
:D I just try to be🤣🤣🤣
its called "SEGA sound"
Gotta watch some loopstation to. So-So is amazing bro. Greetings of a fan from Luxemburg keep up the good work
CODFISH vs TOMAZACRE 2020
Check out NaPoM he’s badass!!🤟
Yo I love all your reactions been stuck on the rock ones but as an amateur beatboxer myself it's good to see the culture spread around. Much love keep it up brotha
Bro u need to see D-low vs B-art at the GBB 2019, promise u going crazy with that
9:10 bruuuhhh🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i can't stop laughingg..
Here's a breakdown of Dlow's techniques: (ive only done beatboxing for a couple of months so im not an expert, correct me if im wrong)
Dlow uses:
Dlow Liproll 2:17
BMG Snare 2:28 Has this raspberry sound to it
Vocal Bass 2:22 It almost sounds like a v
A type of Inward Drag 2:23 Its the in and out air sound you hear
Snore Bass 2:20 When he speaks, his pitch drops to an extreme low
Inward Tongue Bass 2:57
Uses hand to hit throat for sound 3:30 Has this high pitch falsetto sound to it
Cough Snare Basically sounds like a cough
actually i take it back not snore bass, its his unique inward bass
its a really nasal inward bass not snore but they sound really similar
Please react to "INERTIA / SMOKE BULLET" that's so lit!!
I agree 100%

And the helium song by mini inter and Randy
And deal wiv it by slowthai
bruh
You should do a reaction video with multiple beatboxing videos in it, not battles but just beatboxers performing one song. For example: Indicator - I'm an alien
Helium - 7 minutens(second part)
Dharni, B-ART, Alexinho, NaPom, etc. You can watch whatever you like but I would enjoy such a video very much. Much love from the Netherlands❤
