yes, that and the 2nd last champion...in terms of value in evony..200%+ buffs for 300$ is pretty good...
Regarding the card packs, you get all the silver of a civilization and get the buffs, then when you have 10 of a card, you can compose it and try your luck at getting either a gold or diamond card. It’s going to be a huge money suck to actually get buffs.

At the Revelry Carnival it is possible to get Guinevere if you buy packs, which seems to me a big thing.

Probably doing right I have a few select pieces but I have many scrolls but the cost to refine them and amplify are not always worth it.

I'm getting discouraged with the game. I just can't figure out why everyone is so happy to spend so much money on this game. We're right back at the point where there is no path to success for non spenders (not that we ever left that point). How are you spenders able to keep up? Are you guys billionaire tycoons with an unlimited supply of disposable income? Because you can't tell me it's because you worked hard in life and made wise decisions with your money so therefore you can afford to play Evony. No one who makes wise decisions with money spends to the degree that the developers require to be successful. The videos of Evony showing off keeps and offering tips are not really needed anymore. All the secrets are out. Spend an absolutely stupid amount of money about every 2 weeks.
They are all either very well off and just do not care how much they have to spend, or they are addicted and spending on this game is worse than taking drugs!!!
