Jay guru.. I went to badrinath this year only to get the blessings of babaji.. I didn't see him in his well known form..I became sad.. But I felt an upliftment in that journey.. Later somehow... A thought came to my mind that I met babaji in the form of badri bishal ji.. Thank you.. Jay babaji... Jay guruji..

Very interesting. I have never heard this part of the story of how this was restored from the Buddhist's hold and the idol reinstalled at the holy shrine. Was not aware of the temple so closely associated with Maha Avatar Babaji and the rare photo of Badri Babaji simply divine 🙏🙏. Really grateful to you for sharing this very priceless photo of Babaji. To confirm that mahavatar babaji or sri guru babaji is no other than krishna"s incarnation ,you can read the book by yogi and padhmabushan awardee Sri M's book 'the journey continues '. I’ve made solo pilgrimages to this and all the other sacred river headwaters but never knew the literary connections. Would like to hear similar for the other ones! Been missing you at PA Sunday Services recently via Zooom. Perhaps you are on pilgrimage yourself again? Wonder if you have done the Kailash kora and sacred lakes nearby? All the best.. Hope to meet you in June in P.A. along with other sangha brothers and sisters.

My friend it is necessary to present the correct picture of the place which includes Saint madvacharya ,it cannot be a vigraha mahaavtar babaji, even though I have great respect and a deciple of him.
Sir, there are Controversies stating that the Idol you showed to be of JAIN theerthankara. Can you kindly research on this ... ?? I have really LOST interest in new age babas.
I am a hindu by birth, but have explored other faiths with great intensity.
I love my Sanatan Dharma because of its deep reach into Truth, and eternity. But I feel sad that our sacred places always throng with charlatans with more greed than a seeking spirit, in their hrarts; and the manner in which little urchins run about, with no one caring to teach them how to be more respectful and conduct themselves appropriately in and around the sacred places.
This sort of noisy, undisciplined manner in which each one does his own thing may be a sign of a tolerant spirit of our dharma, but with multitudinous crowds thronging every temple, it is time your dharm Gurus instill some form of restraint upon the crowds. All vistors are NOT devotees in the true sense, many are mere tourists with little interest in enlightenment. They need to be disciplined.
As an Indian, why do you anglicize the nameYogananda? It is Yogaananda. I assume it somehow makes people sound more sophisticated? Sanskrit should not be bastardized.
