Sharpening of knives Planer-Thicknesser / Woodworking

In our workshop, we use the SCM FS410 Elite Planer-Thicknesser machine. The shaft has three straight knives 410 mm long. We make sharpening of knives on our own. In this small video, I tried to film the sharpening process as much as possible.
The main removal of the material is carried out on a flat-grinding machine with an elbor disk with a grain size of 200/160 microns. with intermediate pauses for cooling knives. The device for knives installation is homemade, with the possibility of setting the sharpening angle.
After that, a burr is removed from the cutting edge by hand with a diamond bar with a grain size of 600 grit.
And polished on a felt circle with GOI paste.
Fresh knives make the surface to be treated ideal.
