The Spiderman Swearing thing is even better in the US version. When he punches it in the US version, he also changes it into a nicer word like "Puppy". Its spectacular.

I remember having the PS1 version of World's Scariest Police Chases. Which had the "Silly Voices" cheat. This replaced EVERY LINE OF DIALOGUE IN THE GAME with something dumb. For example:
"This is Unit 1, suspect spotted. Engaging pursuit."
Becomes
*Hippie voice* "Maaaan...Look at all those polygons...They're so niiiiiiiiiice"

My favorite of all time was for Star Wars Battlefront. Naming your profile Jub Jub shrank everyone to Ewok size and pitch shifted their voice to Ewok range, BUT kept all the weapons the same size!

Caddicarus in ratchet and clank 3 you can hold all the l and r bottens on the mine screen and you will be able to play the sly copper 2!

The exploding Lara Croft cheat was actually meant as a troll. Many gamers wanted a nude cheat for the game so they "made one". They told people that those inputs would result in glorious pixelated nudity but instead caused her to explode. Cheeky bastards.
Every video game needs a cheat where the main protagonist/character spontaneously explodes. It's hilarious.

Arc Systems charges you for system voices and 8 bucks per character
Namco for Full Boost made it so you can't play as an on-disk unit unless you get a special redeem code to use it, which means you either pre-order the game, get the premium edition or buy the player's edition.
Nintendo already had Ryu, Roy and Lucas on Smash Bros in one of their updates and players leaked gameplay footage of it before they could actually unveil it

i have been watching caddicarus for a long time, and i wanted to put this message here as the channel turns ten years old. i came into the channel's history half way through and was introduced to the channel when he only had about 400,000 subscribers, it all started with the Playstation Cheats video in 2017 when i was scrolling through a search result and got intrigued, and the moment i clicked on the video i was hooked. and while the video's views may not be that significant when compared to any of his newer uploads, but it really was significant to me. i remember the joke that i would quote all the time was the "Garbled Commentary" cheat. anyone who remembers that deserves a veterans... biscuit. i was always fascinated by the diffrent turns caddy would make to his channel, like when he removed the "Slaughtered or Salvaged" bit from his videos and i thought it was a bit of a copout, until i learned to live with it as it gave caddy more creative freedom at the start and ends of his videos. and to me, i'm fairly certain that these kinds of videos were all prototypes for what would eventually become his content in 2020. as an old school fan i was always amaxed the longer the videos got in length, and when it finally peaked at over an hour and 20 minutes i knew that caddy was my favourite youtuber. like at that time, the Kingdom Hearts 3 video being 49 minutes was absolutely nuts to me, but i had no idea. thank you Caddicarus for all of the years of entertainment you have given me.
In Ratchet and Clank 3 you can play a Sly 2 demo by holding down R1+R2+L1+L2 on the main menu screen.

An idea I always had for a cheat is if you put in the code "Yeehaw", all the in-game text would be in a cowboy voice.

The bouncy, bouncy caddy at 20:46 will always be one of my favourites things.
For the Spiderman bit, in the North American version, he would slap the swear and it would change to a different word such as candy. I think sugar was another word but I can't remember, but there were other words though.

The Spyro colour cheats were always my favourite. I used to make up names and personalities for each different colour and have them talk to each other when I got bored. Once you've beaten the game 100% about 5 times, you tend to look for something new to spice things up a bit.

In Star Wars Battlefront for PS2, typing in "Jub Jub" as your name made all of the character models Ewok sized. My favourite one was the Ewok sized Wookie.

If I were to make a game with cheats, I'd make it if you haven't beaten the game before, the characters would belittle you for inputting cheats.

On the Colin McRae cheats, the best was missed off. The one which changes the voice of the co-driver to Colin McRae himself... yes... they got him to record all the lines for the co-driver in the game, but only allowed you to hear it through a cheat!

Although it isn't PS1, ratchet and clank 2 or 3 had a cheat that allowed you to play the demo of one of the sly games, and you even unlocked a cheat that changes your wrench to a lightsaber

10:35 Actually, "Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal" (don't you just love that title?), which is an Insomniac game, had a demo for Sucker Punch's "Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves" that you could access from the main menu with a code. That was on the US PS2 version of "Ratchet & Clank 3", not sure if the PAL version had the demo.
It sure did. Ratchet and Clank were playing it on their TV in the intro, so it cleverly included the demo as part of the game's continuity. You weren't playing a different game, you were playing Ratchet while he played Sly!

In spyro: Year if the dragon there is a code to access a crash bash demo. But if that wasn't good enough there is a code WITHIN the crash bash demo that allows you to access EVERY LEVEL IN THE GAME except the final warp room and even change the AI levels and see when the demo was created!

***** I had so many codes memorized for the main 3 ps2 GTA games: GTA San Andreas had the best ones (seriously loved that immortality and Flying car cheat). Before my ps2 quit on me I did the riot cheat in GTA 3 and watched as chaos rained in Liberty City. The flying car cheat in Vice City wasn't as good as San Andreas, but was still so much fun to do and the drive on water cheat.

Come on bruh...Please... PS2 was not that long ago... I am 17 and my childhood console was PS2. The cheat that stuck in my mind was from GTA SA... Left Right L1 L2 R1 R2 Up Down Left Right... It was for jetpack I think...Also GTA 3 was my first GTA... Input "Peds have weapons" , "Peds Riot" and "Gore,limbs" code with no confirmation message, spawn a tank and enjoy the mayhem while sitting safely in your moving fortress XD

Unlimited life cheats were great for when I was a kid and only had the game rented for a week and really wanted to beat it.

I know that there was a game on PS2 called Zone of the Enders that had a demo of MGS2 on it, pretty neat stuff to see that it kept going past the PS1 generation of consoles.
