I was lucky enough to play with IMO the best catcher to come out of Michigan, Dale Cornstubble his pop time was sub 1.8 and heard of him hitting 1.65, absolute stud
He's not standing up when he throws the ball that's where your 3/10 of a second is coming from and just throwing the ball that hard while you're on the ground is impressive
impressive pop times. but no gear and not in a game is a lot different than an in game time. me and the catchers at my JuCo did a little pop time comp. after practice one day and kept one upping each other until my teammate threw a 1.78 then I threw a 1.73. That was one of the best feelings ever 😂
