Hey Sam, there are 3 Christmas market stalls offering vin chaud. They are all located in the direction of the Rotonde and Crêpes à gogo. We had some yesterday and today. Profitez ! 💞
Looks like fun! Hopefully you'll get your vin chaud next time! The first marché de Noël I went to was in a small town called Montbéliard (in the Franche-Comté region just south of Alsace) where I lived as a teaching assistant. It was wonderful! The markets in eastern France are the best I've been to so far.
Luckily we found some at a restaurant but next time we know exactly where to go!🤗 I would love to see more Christmas Markets, your first market must’ve been so exciting.
Very nice Chrismas market and glad you both found the vin chaud. Christmas markets I've been to are in Italy near Florence, Oslo, Norway, Munchen, Germany and Chicago, IL. The coldest was Chicago.
@@SamFournier Bon jour Sam, when I lived in Italy I was able to travel throughout Europe. Also, I have family and friends in Europe which is lovely. Merry Christmas 💖
Yep Barbe à Papa is the darndest name for Cotton Candy ... And the story behind how cotton candy came to be called "Daddy's Beard" is even funnier XD Calissons are a specialty of Aix year round indeed . But over here in Lille it's often times a Christmas treat gift , but also offered at weddings for good luck. Vin chaud is nice and all but it would be better with some "marrons chauds" Roasted marrons' smell is the smell of Christmas to me . It's also the taste of Christmas :P
It looks so beautiful. I will come to spend a Christmas with you in France. I will buy the Santon of the wife pushing her drunk husband on the wheel barrow. Sami, you have loved cotton candy since you were little. I'm glad they have it in France for you. Miss you guys so much. Can't wait to see you in April Sami. Hopefully next year I can come at Christmas time cuz I need Zoom zooms presence too. Love you guys ❤️
Yes Mama! You definitely have to come visit one year for Christmas, you’ll love it. You’ll just need to invest in winter clothes🤣🤣🤣 Miss and love you Mama❤️
There is a big Christmas market in Lille France that we went to a few years ago. There's also one in Reims at the base of the cathedral, didn't make it there but looks beautiful. Rouen is quite nice at Christmas time. In Paris there's the Tulieries Gardens Christmas market which is big, there's others as well but can't remember where they are. There's a nice size one in Bordeaux. I'm sure all the French cities have good ones in general and lots of decent size towns for a more intimate feeling. If you go to the UK at this time of year there is the Bath Christmas market but it's total chaos (just a warning) and there's a large German one in Birmingham. London has a few different spots, Southbank and Covent Garden are two that I remember. In Copenhagen there's the Tivoli Gardens that puts on a nice display. There's some nice markets in Berlin. I haven't made it to the Strausbourg one yet. It's on the list for another time. We're heading to a couple this year in France, Bordeaux and our local town. We're going to Portugal over Christmas and will check out a couple there as well. :)
There are so many to discover, I would really like to visit Lille. How nice that you’ll be in Portugal for Christmas! I hope you enjoy your stay there, happy holidays!🎄
Yes, someone in the comments let me know where I can find them. I tried them out, and I love them. They’re on Cours Mirabeau at Segond Pâtisserie. Definitely go try them out!

Hi there, from another Aixoise...There are vegan Calissons...I believe I've seen them at Segond. Give Calissons a try, they're good!
This makes me so happy! Thank you so much for letting me know, I will have to make my way there this week.
Besides you, I didn't see anything else, but I wanted to see the beauty of the city, a very bad movie
Hope could find vegan Calissons, I am also in search of. Please inform if you find

How are you doing today? 👍
We are doing good, it’s pretty cold here in Aix. I hear Los Angeles is really warm right now. We hope you are well!
