Thay Phap Dung, please do not apologize for your stories, your humor, your way of being when you talk, because that's what makes you special and the reason why so many of us enjoy your talks. Please do not change or think that you have to change. I always look forward to your talks, and I always feel warm and smile, especially when you think you are so-called rambling. Please continue to be natural and yourself and don't worry about other people criticizing the way you talk. Thank you so much for continuing to share these videos on TH-cam! Really helps people like me who can't get to Deer Park or the other Plum village monasteries.

Thank you Br Phap Dung. Your talks are always captivating. Seemingly simple yet packed with wisdom and insights. I am new to the mindfulness practice and can't grasp some topics and was feeling a little frustrated with myself. Then I remembered you said listening to a dharma talk and allow the words of our teacher to touch us and penetrate us like Dharma rain, whether we understand it or not. That immediately comforted and calmed me, allowing me to enjoy the whole talk. Thank you also for sharing your personal life experiences as that makes you more relatable. The story of the bus driver is a wonderful reminder that bodhisattvas can be anywhere in any form.

I live in LA but I have a quiet life with my dog. To me, LA is a beautiful place filled with nature so close to heaven. I love Thay Phap Dung yet I hope he wouldn't paint LA as some crazy party town. I like Thay Phap Dung's approach because he speaks to us like he is one of us. Thank you.

Deary Thay Phap Dung: it brings me to tears to hear you are being criticized for who you are and how you deliver Dharma talk; many of traditional Dharma teachings have been told through stories, like the story of the raft and carrying it beyond the shore, the story of Monk helping an attractive lady cross the river and many more. One needs only to listen to the great master Thich N.H to see how often he made the audience laugh and how he told different personal stories. I hope you won't further get criticized for revealing that you were criticized. Isn't it the essence of Buddhism is a non judgmental approach, no right nor wrong way of doing things? Bottom line please don't change and I hope you keep telling your stories your way, there is so much Dharma on those seemingly "non Dharma laughter's". I am a psychiatrist with 25 years of practice yet I learn from you and looking forward to someday meeting you.
