I bought a Canter for upcoming travel after watching some of your reviews and presentations of the bag. They were great. I appreciate the zipper comment here. A simple and safe fix for the separation at the top is small (less than 1 inch) lockable S hooks. I do sew and am a bit of a McGyver for fixes, so I got several small S hooks (often come with 5 ot 6 as a key chain, but all lockable), then sewed small D rings on the side of the 1 zip pockets so all external pockets could be locked closed. I will be taking it to India and expect there to be a lot of jostling in crowds, so this may deter pickpockets whether carried as a backpack or crossbody bag.
I don't have a canter, but I agree it's nice to have different travel bags for different purposes. The backpack straps make sense for when you check a bag. And when you're taking a short vs long flight. I also appreciate your honest assessment about the zipper. That can be an issue for sure. Looking forward to seeing the TSV coming up and whether you'll get it or not. Rumor has it, perhaps a full size skeeter??? Time will tell.
So I just saw a sneak of the possible TSV and it looks like a tote bag. It was on the Lug Official facebook page. Depending on the organization inside and what colors they have I'm buying 🙈 I would love to see some new bags in the metallic colors and I'm dying for some new VL. Do you have the mini skeeter? If so do you like it. It's one bag I haven't been interested in but I have been known to be persuaded to like bags. Haha. Hope you have a great week!!
@@AmandaPerkins815 You got the jump on it! A new tote would be great! I don't have the mini skeeter. I wasn't sure about it, another North/South small bag but did think if they made it a smidge bigger, I might cave! lol New VL would be good too. Won't be long until we see our options! If it's a new bag, I hope you get it so we can see another great video from you!
I lOVE lug bags i have the puddle jumper and it’s fantastic. This canter 2 is smaller i think but has a better wider trolly strap. I have their wallet too. Only think I dont like about the puddle jumper is that it has no back pack straps. It does have a trolly strap tho. Great great great storage. Fantastic quality. Durable. Worth the money. I get mine on QVC using flex pay
I have 2 Canter 2 LV’s but I have a TSA approved clear bag so I think I’d have to use the Jumper backpack or the Roadster that just came out. Did you start your trip with your contacts, toothpaste and hand sanitizer in a clear bag or did you go thru without? I have TSA Precheck but I put my daily contacts and cosmetics, hygiene things in it and it gets pretty full. My flights are from CA to NC so it’s an all day of flying and 1-2 layovers so I have the Lug neck pillow, that I’ve never used yet, but I like the Turtl pillow that’s very small and holds your neck in place and you can cover your mouth so you’re not sleeping with your mouth open for everyone to laugh at. 😆
I had actually forgotten that I had some hand sanitizer in the ziplock bag with my wipes so I never took it out through security and nothing was said to me. I did have my contacts packed in my carry on and toothbrush and toothpaste as well. I did not take anything out of it through security. I might have to check out that turtl pillow you are talking about.
Oh thank you so much. That's sweet of you to say. I did buy the jitterbug. It says its shipped but I haven't gotten it yet. I'm traveling right now but as soon as I get back I will definitely do a video and the comparison between it and the Ranger mini seems like a really good one. Thanks for the suggestion and I will work on that when I return. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for video. Great review of the bag and how much it carries. Just wondering what carry on suitcase you like especially if you used to be a flight attendant?
The carry on suitcase I always use is from Travelpro. Funny the first time I ever used that brand was when I was a flight attendant. it was the bag issued with our uniforms. I prefer the soft side to the hard side. I've had the hard side busted before. I also like the one I use because it has inline wheels. I know a lot of people like the 4 wheels so they can roll it by their side but I've also had wheels break off too. If you are interested in seeing the exact one I have I will post a link here so you can see all the features it has. It's a really good and sturdy suitcase. Thank you for watching amzn.to/3PCaRh8
I just found it online. It's currently unavailable in that beige color but it is available in black and a pretty blue color. Here it is. Thanks. go.magik.ly/ml/1k8nu/
Hi do you have links to the black bag? And other items too like pink bag, you could use affiliate link to like items on Amazon, it helps people find items easily and get you a little bonus
It's a tight fit and I personally would not want to carry my 13" macbook in this one. That's just my opinion. I'm not sure if this is a problem for everyone who has this bag or not but I found my zippers wanted to kind of separate as I moved and wore it when I had it packed very full. Hope this helped you! Have a great day.
Loved watching this Amanda! thought I might also share the best carry-on bag I have been using for a long time now and recommend it to you. It is a bento bag from Nomad Lane. It is the most trusty, functional, and easy-to-carry bag. I have been traveling for work and leisure mostly and it is the best bag ever.❤🥰
Oh my goodness. I am always looking for new bags to try. I just checked out the bento bag and its looks amazing. It looks like a really great carry on. I love all the pockets and that it lays flat. I must try this when I can bc it seems a little pricey. is it really worth the price? Thanks for sharing!

Oh thanks for the advice. I may try that, although I'm not crafty or able to fix things really well 😂

Thank you so much! Your videos have been very educational!

Your hair and makeup are really nice today. I hope you make a comparison and review video of Jitterbug vs Ranger Mini soon. I really like your videos.

I used this bag as a personal item for a flight and it worked out beautifully. Do you have a link for the purse you packed inside the canter?

Yes I can work on getting those links for you guys. Thanks.
Could this bag fit a 13" macbook in a case IF the inner pocket was't used? Would it zip? Please & Thank you :)
