  • Many gold farming guides are either extremely vague, plug nothing but a paid guide, or just don't pan out the way you thought they would.
    In this video, we will discuss how I personally make gold in World of Warcraft Dragonflight and cover the things that other guide makers and gold farmers just aren't telling you when they create their videos.

    One thing i learned from TSM is that i didn't start making real gold until i started making smaller sales in large numbers. 15 to 50 gold per sale adds up surprisingly fast.

      Exactly! I’d rather small consistent gold than volatile “high ticket” items. But. That’s just me. Some people have amazing success with those big items.

      Yeah these smaller sales adds up super quick. I sales alot of smaller sales from transmog, mats, rep items etc. But I also have some hight ticket items on AH, like transmog, battle pets, patterns etc. The hight price items dont sale the often for me, but it is a nice uptick when a hight price do sell. I also have some crafted transmog on AH. And I also do some vendor flipping, buying some stuff really cheap from vendors and posting them on AH, I have made around 24k profit from doing that (over time ofcause), I also do some raw gold some time and ofcause mats farms. And I am thinking about starting make some old school potions alchemy like potion of treasure finding and post them on AH, to expan abit more.

      The thing I like for consistent gold farm are aldor and scryer rep items. Marks of surgery's are 5g a pop and the green items for both aldor and cryer are fetching about 40g a pop right now. Not hard to farm if you got a spot or two either. Between vendor trash, random other drops and raw gold you can make a decent chunk of change in an hour just going back to TBC

    "I'd rather take a small win every day than hope for a big win every couple of months" that's how I managed to farm enough gold for the token, I don't even pay for the game anymore, I just drop 5k gold from farms here and there and I'm constantly looking for new items, new reagents, doing wq, these small bits are my focus. Here in Brazil we have a saying: de grão em grão, a galinha enche o papo (grain by grain, the chicken will fill it's belly).

    This is my 17th year in this game, it's all I play. I appreciate the honesty of your video. Here's what I've found works the best for me and how I have made a little over 16mill in the last 5 years.
    Max out as many garrisons to lvl 3 and farm the minion of Grumpus mount. If you don't have an alt army this won't work since they decreased the drop rate but I use 50 lvl 3 garrisons and avg 20 mounts each December. Stockpile them and sell them throughout the year. I average 1-3 sold per month for 350-550K each(If you play on multiple servers send the merry supplies to your main server, they are account-bound). Farm the mount from Noble Garden, it's simple, those are much easier to get but only sell for 20-40K Keep the auction house loaded with transmog, battle pets, patterns and materials. People will always pay for work they don't want to do. One thing that has made me 100K per month since BFA is leveling gear. People love making alts craft the pieces that arent' heirlooms, belts, gloves, boots, and bracers. Alt creation will always be a thing. I have also made over a million per year selling battle pets. If you treat gold-making like real life, create a plan, and don't put all your eggs in one basket you will be set.

    Thank you for sharing your wisdom and tips ! I actually noticed this recently as a video when up for something I was already farming....and than the prices for said item totally got crushed. I've found the most success with materials by far, and would much rather sell something stackable just for bag space and simplicity. It's also important to work with your playstyle and what you enjoy.... I've been working on rep farming and that always ends up being a bit of a passive gold farm because it's repetition. Great video. Subbed & look forward to watching more!

    Thank you, great video. Don't think you mentioned it, but the one thing I'd add about transmogs is that they are worth it once you have a collection of at least 1-2 thousand quality pieces. Also, TSM or some similar addon is a must for posting these.

    Appreciated, Subscribed, and activated notifications... Your straightforward and honest post is excellent. Consistency and patience are the key to success, there's nothing quite like the reliability of gradual progress. Everyone has their own preferences; if you enjoy playing the Auction House game, constantly canceling and relisting auctions, that's great, but it's not my cup of tea. I found all the points you raised to be compelling, and I really enjoyed your style. Thank you for sharing.

    Huge fact drop here! Great video. I would also add that the big gold making channels actually kill gold making in most instances. Once a thousand people are on a farm they will undercut for fast sells until the farm is worthless. When they claim it’s 100k an hour what they mean is that it was three months ago when only a handful of people knew about it.

    What hardly any goldfarmer doesn't take into account, is scaling the gold making! Just like with a real business.
    When you only play on one server you are basically boxing yourself in. Capping how much you personally can
    make in short and long amounts of time. If a pattern is 40k on your server but 2k on Argent Dawn, I don't hesitate
    to get it on my 2nd account to trade it over. if you do this with 500 different items you are literally getting rich sleeping.
    I only farm tradegoods as filler. It's about 5-10% of the weekly income. Always have the mindset "I made 100k today, how
    can I make 200k tomorrow with less time played." Some examples of fast sellers for crossrealm are:
    Tomes of Illusion, SL mogs like Shadowghast, Toys and full Emerald Dream sets like the Autumn Druid and Harvest Guardian set.

    Finally someone who tells it. I have done so many of these so called gold experts farms. Especially the DalaGG guy. I am sure the guy is a sweetheart, but tbh, I have never earned anything. either it wasn't hot on the ah or it took so long that I actually lost money. So eventually, demotivated as fuck I started to find out what mats were used for special stuff from for example engineering and I just farm the mats. I have found out that much of the mats of old content is worth so much more than that of Dragonflight.
    Thanks for this video confirming my suspicions. You desever a sub and a like for that

    I found Studen to be really frank about transmog. he doesn't say it will sell quickly, in fact he flat out tells you it won't, but it's worth having up on the AH. Personally, I prefer raw gold farms. so back in the day, I use to solo old raids and vendor the epics and gets 1000's of gold that way, but then the following expansion they nerfed the gold that old raid epics vendor for. I haven't played retail since Shadowlands and I probably won't. I'm currently playing season of discovery and making gold there is also fun if you know where to go. Personally, like I said, I prefer raw gold, so killing basilisks in STV and vendoring everything is probably my best bet. everything else involves selling things on the AH. in legion, I farmed ore and sold it to buy for my WoW subscription and it worked great, the ores were going for 20-30 gold each at the time so it was a gold mine and it sold quickly. I think that was the best gold farm I've ever done and it was really easy on my guardian druid as Guardian tanks were really good back then.

    Very honest video. In short my advice. fast small amount of gold for gems, enchants, consumables, just to be able to play game while having everything you need for it. N1 thing to do is Gathering professions- Herbalism>skinning, mining is also an option but sometimes it is a bit booring since you have to run in caves or underwater and nobody likes that I m sure. NO you wont make millions of gold in 22 minutes as gold guides say out there but YES you will have almost guaranteed 99% income from those sources, enough to keep you in line with others and enjoy game at its full. Raw materials have always been in demand and will always be, so you wont need to wait for 15 months in hope to sell a tmog that costs 5m gold. Besides raw materials, Alchemy is the best profession in my opinion since most of wow player base does pve and everyone who is competetive or maybe wants to compensate his/her lack of gear or maybe even game knowledge will always have with them flasks and potions in order to maximise their performance dps/healing or even tanking wise. Hope this will help at least some of you fellow gamers out there.
    Happy hunting.

    All good advice, though only thing better than gathering is playing the AH. Study a few items and how they move, especially around reset. Buy them up and make some money. Don't try to make a million in one shot, be happy making 50k or 100k each time and make sure to limit your exposure.

    Nice video one thing I would like to add and you sort of touched on it. Is when you see a video and it already has over 100k views chances are that market will be saturated or the area is going to be so crowded that making much gold will be slim. My tip would be if it is a crafting video then watch the prices of the materials used to make that item and farm those and sell them. Or if materials you can take a risky measure and watch the prices and try to flip the market if the price dips way below its normal averages. Watch the gold makers study their methods and try to anticipate what might be the next market to hit. Often times I have seen gold makers will put a videos as well to influence a market so they can make millions selling what they have stocked up on before the prices drop from competition.

    Agreed, i have been playing this game since original vanilla and can tell you mats always sell, and in a fairly quick time too. Transmogs usually take weeks or months to offload and usually you won't get the price you targeted it the first place. Transmog farming is good if you have the time to wait for weeks or months on end, but most people want gold as soon as possible to pay for their subs as they often play from month to month and gold is their only way of keep playing, no steady gold could quite possibly mean no sub for you that month. Plus you can't just farm gold all the time, there is other things to do. And now days in Dragonflight where one WQ gives you 600-900+ gold is farming transmogs even worth it? Im not sure. People see small gold numbers on say ores or herbs and think its not worth picking up. The key is in the quantity, often people will buy in bulk, thousands of ore at once not just one or two because they are making multiple crafts to flip that mats cost and then sell. But honestly professions, especially current ones are usually not that profitable either because of oversaturated market or the value of mats themselves being higher then the item and no one wants to craft at a profit loss. Bottom line, mats has always been and will be the way to go, plus raw gold from quests and killing mobs for that extra bit of gold

      @nashmanzl 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have followed a few videos, and gone after SOME transmog. But I've been on and off since TBC in '07, and mats are your friend. I'm pulling down 6k on a normal 1-hr run. I got about 50k a week momentum, and could do a bit more without much more time. But It can't hurt to have a few of these mogs in your AH, I've got like 40 or so with values between 700k and 1500g. It's nice to hit a boost to the gold here and there as a couple sell, as long as there's just a low number to maintain.

    One correction here is that dual boxing is not a bannable offense. You can still multibox just fine. You just cannot use any third party programs to mimic your keybinds IE, press one button to cast a spell and all accounts casting the same spell. That isn't allowed , but multiboxing without any programs is fine.

Depending on my committment to farming mats, I can make 10K-50K per day. An easy farm is the Firelands trash farm in cata using a treasure finding potion. Take a skinner and the potion and go. Everything I farmed this weekend, has already sold.

    I REALLY liked this video. It certainly mirrors my own experiences,and decisions. The "Apprentice seagull" guy says he puts up like, a couple hundred transmogs a week or something, and has like 3000 if those types of items always floating around in the AH. So my angle has been to try a few of these if the items are relatively easy to acquire, but I've been sticking to my favorite mats on my realm. Two laps of my favorite area takes about two hours, it can be less. I blast only the specific mob with my item, but the skinning also nets me two types of leathers and hydes, and I herb-out three different items there too. A fourth herb is the rare and elusive Black Lotus. Two on one run last night! But I typically net 12,000 to 13,000 of that run a day, because all these mats sell in 24 hours! I bet I got like only 40 items that are not mats in there.

    The number one thing no gold farmer video will ever tell you is that the fastest way to make gold is to reset markets and commodities in particular. Problem is of course that you can also lose a lot of gold fast which means you need a huge stack of gold to start with to cover losses! Reducing these losses requires a lot of research, experience and regular monitoring of the AH bearing in mind that the AH is very much a PvP activity. Planning, practice, persistence and most of all patience is the key to success and none of these truths are helpful when trying to sell gold-making videos! Your frankness, honesty and practical approach for new goblins is however refreshing! :D

      @archvaldor 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      "The number one thing no gold farmer video will ever tell you is that the fastest way to make gold is to reset markets and commodities in particular." That works with inefficient markets. What people talking about that never seem to mention is a) other sellers and/or seller for value into the market or b) the goods don't sell at the reduced price. I feel like that it is a good idea that probably works over the long run but I've never seen any actual data supporting this strategy.

    • @williamreid8299
      @williamreid8299 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@archvaldor It is a risky strategy and your points are well taken. Before I try it I always monitor the specific market for several weeks beforehand and use the Undermine Exchange to do the same over the whole region. Even then more sellers will always appear as they level up their professions and Blizzard can always intervene in various unpredictable ways so it's not a guaranteed strategy. When it works though - WoW! :D (btw I should also say that I never gamble more than 3% of my total gold at a time on any commodity and right now in this AH lull they are motivated by an anticipated price rise when future patches launch especially 10.2. BoE resets imo are now too risky since the new gear upgrade system was introduced.)

  • @camobranson09
    @camobranson09 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I know it's not as efficient as gathering mats and stuff but I've always enjoyed going through old raids. Especially ones you can just kinda walk through. If you're doing endgame content, especially high tiered endgame like 20+ keys/Heroic/mythic raid? You can solo up to normal just one expansion back with most classes. Plus there's usually other people looking to do some of the harder ends of that like heroic/mythic versions. This is especially lucrative if you setup your own raid with "Full Mob Clear" in the title. This lets everyone know we are not letting a single enemy live in this dungeon. Sure, you might have to share some of the boss drops but you also get crap tons of garbage that often stacks up to 50+ on a stack and sells for 50+ gold per stack. Most packs of mobs are going to give you a raw 10-20g per pull too.
    If you're feeling particularly spicy go solo normal/heroic dungeons in current tier and sell the BoEs (either vendor or auctionhouse depending on if you just want them out of your bags or not) and you'll often get tons of greys this way too. Plus the gold drop hasn't been nerfed on them yet so you can usually finish a dungeon with 100 to 200g just from the gold drops extra. Now this is only really useful if your class/spec is capable of surviving and DPSing everything in the dungeon so you can clear 3+ dungeons per hour but it is a quick way to pay for that new crafted gear you need to pump your ilvl up or move some stats around.
    Hands down the most expensive thing you can do in the game is the crafting itself and doing any high end content. We're talking pots, runes, repairs, etc. My weekly expenses from doing 18+ keys this season alone have been upwards of 10 to 20k easily and Blizz loves to spit in your mouth by rewarding 35 minutes of challenging play with... 50 gold.

  • @Twistedstar0320
    @Twistedstar0320 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I've tried transmog selling. You MAY get 1 thing to sell for like 200g, after about 2 weeks of reposting it. It's not worth it. I recently put a polearm on the AH for 1200, and it sold within 30 seconds. That was bizzare. But, I'll never rely on that. But, I got into leather farming recently, and I've made around 30k in a few days. I feel like this is the ticket. You just have to get your ass out there and work.

You know at the end of Shadowlands i have tons of anima on all of my characters, and there was this vendor in Zereth Mortis that sold tokens for 226 gear? I transfered all my anima to my paladin, set his loot spec as retribution and spent ALL the anima into weapon tokens. As ret i got 2h weapon every time, 98gold each. This took me a few hours buying tokens, converting them and selling the items, i used a macro to buy bypassing the "are you sure" question box pop up and another to turn the tokens without having to click in each one individualy to speed up the whole thing. That was a lot of gold.
      Similarly, right now in Dragonflight, if you have nothing to do with the resources you get that you use to buy with the quartermasters, like i dont need anything anymore and i am not bothering buying the recipes and plans again on my alts, you can turn the resources into this "boulders" thing with the quartermaster in Loamm, and just vendor them. I made a few thousands of gold with that too. I mean, some characters had like 30k resources, and i literaly have never done anywith wiht them, and they just alts anyway. Hope this helps you.
      I just play the game. I don't farm matz, or pretty much anything to make gold. I do old raids for xmog and mounts, but not to make gold. I don't stop to mine or gather herbs when i am questing, and i don't even do world quests at this point of the xpac. Just do the weekly event, like timewalking, or mythic dungeons weekly, raid or lfr on alts. The suffusion camps, well not any more, but i used to do them when they came out. I do the researches underfire event on a few toons and time rifts, tho im done with time rifts too.

    Yup, my thing has always been, if the farm has the potential for competition, then it's not worth doing. Like in classic if there is even 1 other person gathering in the zone you are in, then you're screwed, herbs and ores, it always competitive and a waste of time, and then let's say after hours and hours you finally get an inventory full of ores or herbs or both, you get to the AH to find out that everyone has undercut each other down to vendor sell price. It just isn't worth trying to do. The trick is soloing dungeons and vendoring the loot. Absolutely 0 competition.

    Im a WoW noob as Ive only played since just after SL dropped, however Ive found that my method of xmog selling works very reliably for me. First, you have to have a decent amount of worthy items. Secondly, be patient, keep posting reliably. Thirdly be aware of market fluctuations. Watch for popular gold making gurus to drop videos advising all to farm specific farm, chill a few days and buy the items from said farms on the cheap to resell. Be aware of upcoming content that will provide interest in mats or recipes. Lastly make xmogs and sell them yourself, purchasing materials when they are cheap ect.

    • @venxm243
      @venxm243  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      As I said it just doesn’t work for me and the farmer s have stockpiles. Which is true if you need a good amount of worthy items. Im not saying it doesn’t work. Just that it is volatile and I think it’s just not for me! And the farmers don’t tell you to stockpile. That’s more the point. Of course anything can make you gold. But if you post gold making content, at least be transparent. Like you were here! Saying how you do it. What works and your process. That’s what matters.

    what you are saying is so true. I sell transmog, mostly low price items, but i also got some hight price items on AH and thats for drops and crafted transmog, I do sell patterns, pets, mats, vendor flipping (buying some stuff from vendors and posting them on AH (and yes i do sell some of them), i also do some raw gold farms. See this is what a successful person outside of the game looks at gold farming. There is a token that sells in the game, so a gold farm is always going to be compared to it. So it is now, 20 dollars for 250k gold or around that. So instead of me farming gold, i just purchase that and i do things in the game that also make me gold but are the things that i want to do when i want to do them. Like i do enjoy the races and i make 500g doing one....now i wont get rich by doing them but i also wont lose gold either. So personally by paying monthly for my sub and maybe paying for a token monthly which adds up to 50 dollars a month which is NOTHING for the entertainment value it brings it gives me endless gold in game as long as i am not wanting to buy crazy items that to me personally are stupid. I have millions of gold on my account and have for years and i quit all the time and the gold just waits for me to return.

    Took 9k gold and my army of alts and began my journey to max gold from buying/selling raw resources to crafted items and materials. At the time you had figure things out on your own and discover your own ways of making gold....so if you weren't able to think for yourself you couldn't just watch a TH-cam video of someone else's methods or raw gold farms...different times and people kept their secrets to themselves.
    Now any half brain dead human can get on TH-cam and follow one of a thousand methods people post on TH-cam because they want the like and subscribes

    You're confusing multiboxing and botting. And multiboxing isn't against the rules. I really doubt that anyone bothers to bot legacy farms.

    it would take less time to get good at the game and sell carries for gold. who wants to farm transmog for 6 months to maybe sell a piece over 500k. no thanks.

      Well I don’t farm transmog really so I am unsure fully on the ROI there. But I can say I do like the farming side of things for herbs, ores and materials. So it isn’t like. A chore for me.

      @@Mullet_Man93 yes. Which is actually the point I made - most gold guides don’t tell you to keep a stockpile of items up. That was the main takeaway from that point (not saying you can’t make profit, but that the gold guide writers don’t tell you these things in their guides 99% of the time)

      @@Mullet_Man93 this video wasn’t anywhere near a diss on those who sell xmog. But that if they are going to “inform”, they need to give the whole context/story. So that people don’t end up feeling like they did something wrong. That’s all :)

    I have made 23 mil gold since begining of this year almost entirely from crafted transmog and farming transmogs in dungeons. So "Transmog doesn't Sell" is not correct. You need to have a big amount of items and also do cancel scans. Now with being able to trade items to different servers make its easier spreading the best items to more servers. Would recomend 2 accounts for this. But as you said, its hard work. Its not a sprint its a marathon.

      Oh for sure. I just like the more consistent and for sure farms. It just doesn’t sell for me. And for most people. That’s mainly what I’m getting at. I have had things sell as I said, but I just like punching rocks and picking flowers and killing mobs for more guaranteed returns.

      Is that really worth it to you, though? 2 accounts runs you at 32 dollars a month. Also, gold making was ruined by the AH changes. Meaning it takes me at least an hour and a half if not more to post 2000 transmog items on the AH. With that being said, I can easily net 50k per day from the AH. Some days more, some days less, but on average 50k per day. That's 350k per week which is an easy wow token. However, my problem is that if you just look at the time I am taking posting the items (not farming) it's at least 10-14 hours per week of just posting.
      I know this sounds stupid but at that point I'd rather just work 1 hour and buy the gold.
      How long do you guys spend per day/week on just posting your items?

      @@TheImSource I really don’t do any xmog farms or post from two accounts so I can’t speak on it. But I do spend a few minutes after each farm posting to the AH for the raw materials.

      The 2nd account purely for the ability to scan and post while doing content on your main. I do that with an alt I made on hubs account.
