This Tundra made it's public debut less that 5 miles from my house in the suburbs of Detroit and it never made the news. It was a week long event with press groups. So you know it was muted in the media because of the "big Three" manufacturers.
That's the thing about those companies... They Lobby everything they can get their hands on for media/hype/sales control. Especially Ford, Ford is the worst lobbying of all US vehicle manufacturers. I like Ord too but not scared to say the truth.

Porque até neste exato momento as camionetas da Toyota Hilux todas as séries foram reprovadas no teste Alce, o Toyota Corolla até hoje ainda tem freio de mão a cabos, enquanto o Honda Civic a anos vem com o freio automático. Nem é preciso falar mais nada que os carros da Toyota só brilha nós olhos de caboclo que qualquer merda está de bom gosto.

Well it should be real interesting to see which truck sells better. The 2022 Sierra or the 2022 Tundra. V8 vs turbo V6. Knowing that the general public is a bunch of idiots in the USA I'd say that most are going to buy the Tundra because it gets slightly better fuel economy with the ever rising gas prices under our Hitler like Democratic leaders. But what they don't know is that the Tundra's turbo's will cost over $1,200.00 each if they break out of warranty from someone not changing the oil like they should. Any savings on gas will be gone at that point of you have to replace 2 turbo's in the Tundra. I'd buy the Sierra with its proven drive train over a brand new power plant.
My money is on the tundra. nothin on the Sierra is exciting. it's an old man's truck with a old man v8
I dunno. There are soooo many ttv6 and hybrid fanboys all over the Tundra Facebook group it makes me sick. I'll keep my 5.7 v8 in my current tundra. People seem to think since its Toyota, that the turbos will last forever....wong lol
@@dji7231 The 5.3 is an old man engine I agree but the Sierra's and Siverado trucks just got a brand new interior that looks anything but old man. It looks incredible actually. The 6.2 engine is a beast when paired with the 10 speed trans. Did you see the new interior on the GM trucks yet for 2022? What do you think of it?
@@richr909 I saw the interior, but it feel rehashed for me. Nearly everyone is rocking big ass screen with great navigation, and it seems GM's are stuck in 2010s. Interior is new and all, I get it, but you would've showed me this in 2015 (or 3rd gen) and I would've maybe been excited. As for the turbo's realibility, I get that time will tell and that's true for all brand. But Toyota's has been know for reliability. All manufacturers would learn and have learned from the way they managed their supply and production chain. It is a well known process that university still teaches to this day and that speaks volume to me. That being said, only time will tell, and i'm not even a toyota fanboy!

I'm not a fan of chrome at all, but the modest amount they put on the Limited doesn't look bad, especially with this grey color. I was leaning toward getting a loaded SR5 just to avoid the chrome, but this Limited looks nice. I'd love to see a blacked out Limited Nigthshade Edition.

I'm just baffled that toyota took over 10 years to redesign the tundra & this is it ? 🤦🏾♂️ this is your limited edition that's around 60k and the interior design is so cheap looking, you could have came out with this in 2015 ..as if they didn't see what the RAM limited interior look like, or f150 limited, platinum, king ranch, lariat....poor design from toyota

@@TontoBongRonto Lcd displays have been around for decades and have a tiny fail rate. There isn't much of a reliability advantage having one over the other.
@@michaels7984 which will fail first ? An LCD screen or analog gauges ? Which will fail first ? A lcd screen rear view, or a solid mirrored piece of glass. Have fun replacing that stuff. Logic is gone with people I swear.
@@TontoBongRonto nah not really, if you are planning on keeping your vehicle for 20 years then maybe, but for most people the likelihood of having to replace the LCD isn't much higher than analog, which can still break by the way.

Yes, if anyone can afford to buy a second 5.7 litre Tundra and put it away inside Cheyenne and take it out after 25 years will not regret it. The Turbo move on the new one is a big mistake even worst they are using two turbos that means many and extraneous moving parts to wear out.
You are right, in 4-5 years, service departments will be cashing out on new engines and turbos off all the people who like to tow and did it with this V6 twin turbo. If people think this engine can handle 8K pounds without wearing itself out x10 times faster, then they are extremely stupid.
You both are. Ill-informed and out of touch with the latest. Have many friends and contractors that have ford eco boost with the turbos and running 200k no issues what so ever, while load all the time. If toyota put time in the engineering is should last a long time.
@@Dimabuildingadventures 😂 Ford Ecoboost is not reliable. Turbos are crap and there are more moving parts means more wear and tear. Turbo is like adding another engine on top of the engine. At least, Toyota could have designed it with one big turbo but with two turbos? Poor decision!
@@Thankyou_3 let me repeat it again I have family and friends that have Fords f150 eco boost and every single one is above 120k and some 200k zero to minimal issues. Is there some unreliable eco boost, sure but I seen multiple be very reliable.. I worked on turbo cars with the right engineering cars can run a long time. Especially with right piping to stop vacuum leaks.
@@Dimabuildingadventures I repeat as well, Turbos are added to keep the Californian mouth for emissions BUT outside of this it is added maintenance and cost to overall ownership cost to owners. Turbos are garbage! The only viable turbos are prob on those Dodge Cummins but even that cost a load of money to repair when it ages. There is no better setup than without a turbo. More moving parts cost more money for owners especially those Ford Ecoboost. Those are pile of junk which Ford tried to keep the bureaucratic happy.

Still say the air vents look like lego pieces. With the gray/light gray interior/sandstone it looks better. The grill is better looking on the SR5.

Como sempre a Toyota faz um exagero nos seus comerciais com a Toyota Hilux e o Corolla, embora sabemos que a camioneta Toyota Hilux nunca vai chegar nas rodas da Amarok e Ford Ranger, e o Toyota Corolla nunca é páreo para o Honda Civic que até o freio de mão é automático.

Toyota is a bit funky with their trims. Rather than Limited being top of the line, it goes SR -> SR5 -> Limited -> 1794/Platinum -> TRD Pro

Looks like a knockoff GMC product and now the twin turbo V6 just ruined it. Glad I got a reliable 2020 Tundra on clearance.

As hard as I try, I cannot warm up to the styling of this truck. Yes I know Toyota builds a great product; I was a customer for 21 years. The front and back of this truck looks "gawdy" and "awkward". The goofy styling and the lack of an automatic transfer case are saying a big NO to purchasing one. There are much better styled trucks with more features out there.
To each their own most people dont ever use trucks to what they were designed for maybe the occasional load up stuff in the bed or some light hauling so me I could careless about features I just want something that's gonna last, I've owned my current tundra for 12 yrs best truck I've ever owned and people I know with the other brands with the fancy features something is always acting up and some dont even use those features but just have it to say show off but like I said to each their own

I can't believe Toyota made this truck without Tow hooks! This is going to be an Epic mistake by Toyota. I wont buy a tundra unless they fix this, the first time I had to lay down in wet muddy terrain to get under a truck instead of the convivence of tow hooks I'd be trading in this truck. I think it's the only 4x4 tuck on the market without Tow Hooks… I guess they have engineers that don’t actually own or drive trucks. As someone who's truck sees a lot of dirt roads deep in mountains or along side river banks I was baffled by this decision. I wish someone from Toyota would explain the logic or reason as to why they got rid of tow hooks.
Apparently Toyota prefers to continue their ugly front end designs.
